Some background vocals sounds like Michael. Clearly they mixed it.

After thinking about this, I hope that this is just an introduction or something to the album.

It's another singer talking about all the things Mike has to go through in the industry...

Anyways, hopefully when I wake up tomorrow everything will be fixed.

Listen to the song really, really closely, it's definatly michael jackson. Sony would'nt dare put out a fake song, they would be sued for every penny they've got. hopefully they will takle this fake vocals thing head on and release a video of him recording it.

take into account that they had access to his unreleased songs, if they could have chosen from many of his unreleased songs why would they have a completely made up song.

Surely you can suspect the answer. So that more "MJ" songs can be "discovered" in the future = more releases = MORE MONEY!!!

IMO, there are NO Michael Jackson vocals in it at all.

The vocal composition is terrible. I can't believe we have been waiting almost 10 years for this. The intro beat from the sample doesn't carry on through the song.. its a cut and paste of random beats and singing that doesn't flow with random ows and heehee's scattered through it. Breaking news...Sony sucks?

why not? it'd be peanuts compared to what would happen if they tried to rip off Mike's vocals with someone else's, and be stupid enough to think we'd believe it...

"recently brought to completion" sounds like lawyer speak to me for it's not 100% Michael Jackson.

It's part him and part someone else. However, I think it's just a giant publicity stunt and that the rest of the other songs will umistakably be him.

and the "stranger" parts.

Sued for what? So far the song is online for free, they're not making money and we can't see the credits. I also think this might be a stunt. We don't even know if this will be on the actual album. If it is, we will soon find out if Malachi is on this, because they'd have to include him in the vocal credits.

to all the mj fans… regarding the song "breaking news" i am so sorry you have to deal with this. my uncle loved you so much and would not want it this way. However there are songs that ARE my uncle singing on the upcoming album and I will support those 100% But I will not support "Breaking News" and a few others because it simply is not him. They tried to fool me and they tried to fool you. I told them it would never happen.

Actually the song is great thou. It must be written by Michael but probably the final lyrics if they exist are (or they just must be) different..
 
This is a joke and the only way Sony will make up for it is to pull Michael (not a rabbit) out of a hat. Publicity stunts are one thing, but to alienate the hardcore fans with a fake song sung my an impostor as the opening theme of the NEW Michael Jackson album is all sorts of wrong. Pre-orders will be canceled and faith in Sony will diminish even more, even possibly sabotaging the real album.

However I think it is a publicity stunt and they are hoping to garner attention everywhere possible. It doesn't sound like Michael, and although the song's beat is fresh and uptempo, the lyrics sound more like a homage than a true Michael Jackson song. Why would he refer to himself by name in HIS song? Why is this not the official first single? Why was the teaser a poorly directly and low budget montage?

I do believe the backing vocals to be real, but the entire song doesn't have the spark that MJ always had. Michael could sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with passion to move and entire stadium. His voice is unmistakable and Breaking News was cold and forgettable. I want the King of Pop back…

Then Maybe this is just a PR stunt. BUT is it a good one ? - Pissing of the fans is not good IMO.

I hope this is a PR stunt, and they are not effing with us. o_O If they wanted controversy and attention on this, well THEY GOT IT. THERE SONY. NOW WHERE IS THE REAL GOODIES? D: I really hope the full album won't be filled with this.

Other than that... be happy this is not the lead single. o__o Uh... yeah.
At least we know HOLD MY HAND is Michael FOR SURE!

This is 100% NOT MJ ... SO gutted .. I knew from the first few lines .. there is none of MJ in this ...

Makes me wonder if those 'Cascio' tracks that suddenly turned up aren't all complete bollocks ...

WOW .. even in death they continue to screw our MJ. I feel sick. Teddys production is nice but this shit needs to be screened by someone who knows what the hell they are doing.

Bad dream .. this better get fixed. Let the Jacksons get those questionable songs off the album. Im sorry for doubting their concerns.
