I will not buy any Sony product and will not be buying this album, unless either:

1. they take the Cascio recordings out of the album
2 Convinced me the rest is the real deal.

As weird as it sounds it's probably wrong of you to ask that of Gaz. Everyone is very worked up over this, that in order to "stop the insanity" he would have to ban people who are simply venting their emotions.

He'd be banning 85% of the members on MJJC, lol.

Here, guys, let me ease the pain for us all: They're just going to say that they stand firm on what they've already stated. Basing themselves in all these "tests" they've done with the forensic sh!t, musicologyst and all this made-up crap, and also in the hand-written lyrics by Michael himself. After that, a lot of semi-fans will chill out. But the rest won't. Sony will still earn money, and will continue not-giving-a-F about our opinions. Shortly after, maybe by the end of the week, the Cascios will make a statement too which will include the scanned images of MJ's hand-writings, like it was a proove...

Here we were, all of us underrestimating the family's accusations before we heard Breaking News, about MJ's fake vocals... just because we wanted NEW music we weren't listening clearly. But in the end, THEY were right.

But alas, I think you're right. We won't be getting any admissions of hiring impersonators or anything else. All Sony will do is say they've been 'troubled by concerns about the authenticity of the tracks' and therefore have 'done extensive research/hired imaginary forensic musicologists' whatever whatever. I'm gutted but maybe nothing we do/say will make any difference.

Ps But I won't stop saying it. :cheeky: Take the fake shit off the album!

I'm also loving the fact the most of the media are ignoring the fanatics as well. I'm praying that continues and the album is a success that some of you don't want it to be.

Perhaps the media/press/Sony have had enough of the fanatics banging on about every little thing over the years, and will just pretend they don't exist. Yes it might cost them a few thousand albums but, if they just ignore the fanatics and protect the rest of the world from hearing the nonsense these fanatics spout, then this album might still sells millions and survive.

I might as well fly to Vegas pick up an Elvis impersonator and try to pass him off as the real thing. I might as well just have him mimic Elvis' voice and release obvious fake tracks with vocals that anyone with ears can tell are fake, all the while saying it's really Elvis and see how HIS "fanatics" react to that. Or maybe I could get some random rapper and pass him off as 2Pac. I'll have him record records as 2Pac and try to sell him to the public as 2pac. I wonder how his "fanatics" will react to that?

You don't get it Deano. No one is wants this album to fail. We want the fake tracks OFF the album so that Michael's legacy could be protected and the album would at least have a chance of succeeding. If Sony did this to any other artist, their fans would react the same way. You know that.

Well I thought I might bring out my own 'Michael Jackson' album - everyone's doing it!

I'm going to write some songs and steal a few others, record them in the shower and then whack on some 'owws' and 'hehes' off one of my old cds by that MJ guy, then do a really bad painting of Michael Jackson where he looks like he's constipated and has one eye smaller than the other and make that the album cover.

It'll be called 'Legacy' - who wants a copy of my new 'Michael Jackson' album! It's very 'Michael-esque'! :scratch:

Imagine they'd do this to Elvis too, or 2Pac or....well you name any artist....fans would be outraged just as much. Or when they put artists on 2Pac songs after his death, artists that Pac beefed with, had arguments with.

Make sure you get the sound right - basically at the end of every word go 'AH!'. So, 'Everybody wanting a piece of 'Michael Jackson-AH!'.

Also, the album cover must truly look nothing like Michael Jackson - this is very important. The eyes MUST be squinty. :yes:

VERY good point. Two possibilities

1. An original vocal track of Michael exisits and is in fact being used on this track

2. A demo was written for Michael and he simply overlaid 'backing vocals' in way of a quick experiment to see how the track could sound. Many, many artists have songs submitted in way of Demo tracks which they then go on to re-record.

I wouldnt feel any of the above...

I'd wonder what amazing studio techniques they used to make him sound so un-Michael-like and then wonder why Michael tried singing on such an off day.

The only way I will ever believe that, is if I either get a video showing him sing it, or Michael himself tells me its him.

I think the real question is, how silly are people going to feel when its revealed its not MJ.

I dont expect many of the people saying it is him to comment though when its revealed it isnt him. Most of them will probably dissapear again and carry on viewing the site from the outside without posting.:doh:

Well then... if the Sony Execs think it's good the fact that "it shouldn't get any worse than this", LET'S GIVE IT TO THEM, LET'S GIVE SOMETHING WORSE TO THEM. WE AS FANS NEED TO DO SOMETHING. Can't you see? they're actually relieved that all of this is working on their favour, they're using it to their advantage, as publicity, and they think they can get away with it. Ruinning Michael's amazing and pure legacy.

From my experience, the whole "make up" of the voice is different. It's not comparable to songs like 2000 Watts or Privacy, as some people claim - as the vocals in these tracks are unmistakably Michael. His pronunciation, vibrato and character behind the words in these Invincible songs cannot be mimicked, not by another human nor machine.

You can process a vocal over and over again, change the pitch, tone and warp it in such a way he'd be no longer speaking English - but you cannot change a vocal in such a way that the entire make-up of the words sung is different, and the vibrato is pushed and extended to the point it's cheesy and SCREAMS of a fake. If they HAVE altered the song to the point it sounds like Jason Malachi or WHOEVER, release the original demo track and let us hear it and make up our minds.

Another thing to point out is when people claim that it's probably a poorly sung track by Michael, given that it was an unfinished demo. The easiest way to debunk this would be to listen to the parts where the song changes from falsetto and becomes more gravelly. There is obvious points in the song, including the over the top vibrato where there is a terrible amount of effort being put into sounding particularly "Michaelish". It's this PUSH that is the game breaker for me.

The biggest telling point will be when the entire album is released, and the Cascio tracks will be side-by-side with other tracks sourced from Michael's vault.
