Now this is interesting thread. Only thread which I look up to in News Section now a days. Before this it was Keep The Magic campaign thread that Birchey made that I really read with an interest in past, like this one I do now :)

Ugh. I don't like the logo. I agree with Pentum. I do NOT like the gray outline around everything. It is unattractive. I don't care if anyone does not care for the opinion. Graphics for anything is VERY important. Companies spend huge budgets to come up with branding and to make a mark that connects with people. I just don't understand what is going on; and, I am not going to apologize for feeling this way either. :(

And please, don't come to me about being negative, everyone has their own opinion and are allowed to express it on the board.

I really, REALLY hope they reconsider. Really. Why is everything such a huge disappointment? I really don't know what I am looking for. It's hard to explain. At the start I have such jubilation, I feel like a kid again, but after seeing the execution, I feel crushed.

Anyway, at least we are getting the material.

No it's not. It's an email from the MJ Online team with the logo and it's even labelled as "version 7". It turns out I had the right idea with assuming that the bad will be in red.

you are looking to the gray outline on a white background. it might work better on other backgrounds. such as the photoshoped gray tshirt just on the previous page looks perfect imo.

As I said the above logo picture is labelled as "v7" for "version 7". there might be multiple different versions.

Lol, when I got the e-mail I also thought for a second that they were sending around your edited pic.

I also think it looks better on the gray background. But if you look at the pic of that black shirt you posted for instance, I do think that the red outline makes it look a bit cartoonish.

But as I said, it does not really matter to me. I am mainly just extremely curious about the audio/video material we are going to get.

I think probably we kinda forced the hand of the MJ Estate to come out with the logo when Marc posted the trademark info/ picture and I edited the colors. The cat was out of the bag and they had to send the official one out.

The t shirt is a toddler t shirt and the other one is a baby clothing. The age group for those black shirt is 0-4 years old. They can afford to be cartoonish.

Am I the only one excited by the confirmation that this trademark will be used on soft drinks (presumably pepsi)? I can't wait to see what campaign they use to promote this. Should be high profile which is great.

I like the logo.

I especially like that the added crown and 25 are in graffiti style,like the original.

I hope we can have more details about the actual release shortly. I don't care much about the new logo. Don't love it. Don't hate it. I think the original logo is a classic and there is no need to change it. Adding a crown to it is not doing much. Just my opinion.

I'll be one happy woman if they just give ma a Blu-ray of the 2nd leg of BAD tour.

I like that too. Still remember getting the Pepsi promo cassette with Someone Put Your Hand Out as a kid. Great times.

I am trying not to get too excited lol. I am not a logo expert but I think it will be fine. To me it will be the overall promotion of this if there is a big promotion. We thought there would be big promotion of other things and not so much. I am hoping this will be a great celebration of Michael.

Logo kinda sucks, but all I really care about is unreleased material/tour DVD.

Hope there's no tragic remixes this time like Thriller 25.

Please don't try to tell me what I am looking at. I am imagining the logo in different settings. I don't like the gray. It is unattractive. Yes, it will look better on some backgrounds as opposed to others, but IMO, even on the gray background it looks better but still not good.

I also don't need a lecture or reiteration of how many versions they have. I am stating an opinion based on the one I see. My opinion is not finite just as the product as of now is not finite. Nor will an unattractive logo prevent me from buying the product. It is a conversation stating what I feel. I don't have to try to be convinced to like it when I don't. (Not all of this is meant for you but is a general statement for everyone who thinks everybody should like what is put out and if they don't they shouldn't speak about it here.)

I just hate how sometimes it feels like we have to have a consensus around here and if you don't fit into that consensus, you can't have a voice.
Anyway, I don't want to make this thread about what I don't like so I will leave this as is. :)

I like the logo, not crazy about it, but it's easily recognisable, it says what it has to say and they kept the original Bad font, which is ok with me :)

Not let the goodies come please...

I want a Bad Tour in theaters and on DVD.

They should really go easy with that crown thing. It's kind of corny and it start to feel desperate. Finger crossed for the release.
