Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Now that the NHL season is over. Now I can finally say what I think of Rogers takeover in the NHL Canadian broadcasting season.

First off, I can say it is good, but overall it is the most god awful NHL season I ever watched on TV, I have no problem with them having Wednesday Hockey Night on SportsNet and I have no problem with SportsNet taking over NHL broadcasting in Canada owned by Rogers in the beginning of their 12 year contract to the NHL. But I have problems with them for numerous reason like taking over production of Hockey Night In Canada, George Stromboulopous as the new host to HNIC, limiting Ron MacLean's role in HNIC, "Coach's Corner" time reduced to 5 minutes instead of usual approximately 8 minutes and NHL Regional restrictions.

Last year I've been saying that I have a bad feeling about Rogers takeover thus CBC losing production to HNIC and I kinda knew all along, like I've heard many CBC employees were laid off because of the 12 year deal with the NHL and Rogers and I've heard about Rogers limiting Ron MacLeans role to HNIC, he remains with Don Cherry for "Coach's Corner", yet he was replaced by George Stromboulopous as the new host, I have no problem with Stromboloupoulus since he did a lot of interviews for years on CBC and MacLean had a role as host for Sunday's "Hometown Hockey". Seeing Stromboloupoulus as a host I find it very displeasing, he should just stick to give interviews and trade roles with MacLean. Ron MacLean back to hosting HNIC and George Stromboloupoulus to host "Hometown Hockey". Plus I've heard that HNIC ratings weren't as good as many years before, which turns out that Canadians were very displeased with the idea of Stromboloupoulus hosting HNIC. Rogers shouldn't be touching HNIC to begin with, Rogers killed the HNIC tradition which is part of Canada's traditions. HNIC should go back to CBC and leave Rogers and I don't care what Rogers say or think. I am still happy that CBC can still broadcast HNIC as part of the sub-license with Rogers, but it wasn't the same anymore. I'm just not happy with the Rogers owned Hockey Night In Canada. I can say is...

Rogers killed the tradition!

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Hockey is officially dead to me now! Why? I'm changing my tune about the new GM Don Sweeney for the Boston Bruins, I thought he's gonna help the Bruins ship shap again getting a few young players, but instead he made a god awful stupid move, he traded away my favourite player Milan Lucic to fricking Los Angeles Kings and I'm fricking angry about.:banghead: It's like a Joe Thornton trade all over again 10 years ago and I don't think I'm gonna get over it anytime soon. So that's it. I'm done. I'm not watching hockey ever again anymore.

:banghead::banghead::banghead:DAMN YOU SWEEENEY!!! YOU TRADE AWAY MY FAVOURITE PLAYER!!! NOW YOU TURNED THE BRUINS SOFT!!!! AND I'LL NEVER FORGIVE YOU FOR WHAT YOU'VE DONE!!!:banghead::banghead::banghead:

*In the last I recorded the Bruins vs Leafs game that time.

nordiques-quebec-jersey.jpg

This week the 2 franchise are up for an NHL Expansion bid and will be ready for sometime next season. The 2 franchises are from Las Vegas applied by Bill Foley and the other from Quebec City applied by Quebecor. I'm happy for Quebec franchise in the NHL Expansion bid which means that the Quebec Nordiques are in for a comeback just like the Winnipeg Jets made their return in the 2011-12 season, the Quebec rivalry will soon be reborn with the Nordiques vs the Montreal Canadiens. But sadly I just quit hockey and there's no chance of me seeing the Quebec rivalry or any other NHL games including watching the Bruins anytime soon due to the fact that I still can't get over the Lucic trade. Though I quit hockey, but I'm still a Bruins fan in spirit. Again it's about time the Quebece Nordiques are son to be resurrected in the NHL.

black humor, lol, I was reading on Ryan kesler & its true hockey is a young mans game. check this out
You do not want to have 37-year-olds making 7.7 percent of your cap. That's just a general rule. When talking about how forwards age, and what it takes to get to the point where someone thinks you can still play as a 37-year-old. Most of those who do are either fading superstars or bottom-six grinder types whose game doesn't in any way rely upon them having the ability to skate even somewhat competitively. And the attrition for guys in their mid-to-late 30s is massive; over the last eight seasons, 41 percent of forwards who were in the league at 35 were gone by 37.

I heard about Patrick Kane's ordeal, they didn't use that word originally when it was reported and what does that have anything to do with Hogan? I've discussed about Hogan's troubles at the WWE Thread and nobody said nothing about else re him and his racist comments. As far as Slava Voynov is concerned, he'll get deported back to Russia because of his actions which is intolerable.

I really don't think Kane is capable of sexually abusing whoever that is and I pretty much doubt that. I mean what if that woman is drunk wanting to seduce Kane and then she acts like a defenseless woman wanting to get retribution against him as part of wanting to get media attention. I'm pretty sure that the Chicago Blackhawks are gonna trade him or he himself will request a trade to get out of it. Dany Heatley wanted to get out of Atlanta and shipped off to Ottawa because of the death of his teammate Dan Snyder.

Simon Gagne has officially retires from hockey after 14 NHL seasons.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

The NHL pre-season started this week. My dad doesn't care and not in the mood for pre-season games, neither am I since I already quit with NHL games already. But I'm gonna print up both the Boston Bruins and the Sportsnet schedules for my dad.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Just checked out cbc.ca re. Patrick Kane case. The prosecutors told that the evidence was tampered with and just now they even stated the evidence containing the rape kit was a hoex which was done by the accuser's mother. It's my guess that the allegations was just a conspiracy to get Patrick Kane. Plus because of the recent events with the hoex the accuser's attorney quits from the case. I'm 99% sure that Kane won't be charged for anything.

Flat out conspiracy!

Here's tonight's Hockey Night In Canada games.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

I heard the Bruins were already losing a few straight games and I already knew why. They're still trying to rebuild the team, even if they're trying to rebuild the team, they're already deteriorated fast. I believe that losing Tim Thomas via trade back in 2012 was the beginning of their bad luck, then they lost both Andrew Ference and Nathan Horton via free agent and Tyler Seguin via trade the very next year, then last year they've already lost Shawn Thornton via free agent and Johnny Boychuk via trade and now they've already lost Milan Lucic, Dougie Hamilton, Glen Campbell and Reilly Smith.

The Boston Bruins are no longer Big and Bad anymore, to me they're soft cuddly teddy bears. I blame the NHL wanting them to fail which they did, stupid salary caps ruined the whole team and now Don Sweeney already killed the elite team.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Montreal's winning streak snapped 9-1-0 thanx to Vancouver. Yay!

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

I'm all over the place sports-wise, but I'm glad hockey's back! This is Detroit's first season post-Babcock and I feel confident they made the right decision to not try to keep him there.

Though Babcock now coaching for the Leafs, they're still the same, their identity is lacking, even when Phil Kessel no longer a Leaf anymore, they don't help at all. Plus I heard Jonas Gustavsson helped the Bruins win a few games, but I don't really care, the Bruins should've had him to begin a few seasons ago with instead of their back ups like Anton Khudobin, Chad Johnson and Nicklas Svedberg are gone from the Bruins after their first season with the Bruins.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

The Patrick Kane sexual assault allegations has been dropped so Kane won't be charged after the accuser refused to corporate with the authorities and her attorney backed himself off away from the case after a tampered evidence of the abuse kit was out.

Ha! I knew Kane was innocent all along and that accuser reminds of a certain someone, more like a certain coward. This allegations is kinda similar the allegations Michael had to suffer through and we knew the truth.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Patrick Kane's point streak has ended stopped at 26 games in a 3-0 loss by the Colorado Avalanche. 16 goals + 24 assists= 40 points. He excelled pretty well despite the damned allegations.

On Sportsnet tonight the season premiere of "Road To NHL Winter Classic" is on tonight re. the Montreal Canadiens (Boo!) and the Boston Bruins. The The game itself will be held on New Years Day on Sportsnet in the afternoon. As much as I wanted to see that only game, but I still want nothing to do with the NHL. But I can say is that "I WANT THE BRUINS TO WIN!"

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

That damned Gary Bettman signed a 7 year extension being NHL's commissoner. :bangheadUGH!!!:banghead He's gonna keep ruining and killing the game even more, he's ruined more than enough as it is.:angry:Now there's absolutely no chance that I'll ever watch NHL ever again. Like if the Bruins don't get Lucic back and if Bettman is still commissioner, no comeback for me. I completely lost faith in hockey now.

The Toronto Maple Leafs have revealed the new logo for next season.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

the leafs logo looks awful, if it aint broke dont fix it. probert was what 45 when he died, hard to believe an elite athlete went that young:( the owners voted bettman more years right? so they must think hes doin a good job fighting or no

They tried to make it a newer retro look, but I liked the logo as it is now before they wear the new logo.

Probert is main example as an enforcer and I support enforcers which I've mentioned in the comment on Sportsnet.ca that if he's still alive today he'd be pissed off about how fighting and hitting were declining, like before he's hated how Gary Bettman runs the NHL, when I read his book I was like "wow our minds think alike", he even hated the idea of the instigator rule like Grapes hated the idea. Read his book and you'll find his views of the NHL today and about Bettman which I find very similar to my views. I don't give a damn about Bettman doing a good job as commissioner, I still wanted him gone and I don't care if he's still around for 7 more years, he's gonna keep ruining the game one after another, I mean listen to the majority of the fans of Canada, they hated him and even recently the people of New Jersey hate him during the ceremony of Martin Brodeur's #30 retired.

And oh yeah I should add out that I heard many fans were not watching the NHL games anymore with less fighting and hitting, those NHL governors I tell ya were eating up those whinny babies wanting fighting and hitting demolished. That and the way how Rogers run "Hockey Night In Canada", it's no wonder they can't watch much NHL games anymore, the ratings weren't as good when CBC still owns "Hockey Night In Canada".

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

The NHL Trade Deadline is nearing. There is only one trade I want to happen. I wanted the Bruins to trade away Loui Eriksson and Matt Beleksey to Los Angeles King for getting Milan Lucic back. I found out from someone that Looch since been to LA, he was never happy at all which my mom and I knew all along and I too was never happy with that fricking trade. Seeing Looch as a King really made me sick to my stomach everytime.

The reason that I want that trade to happen is because well I liked Eriksson, but I felt like he hadn't produced like he should've before, but he did produce this year, but I think he'd be better off elsewhere and same for Beleskey, he surely doesn't belong in Boston at all and he's not really producing. He's just awful as a Bruin, trade him away. Looch is far better off going back to Boston where he'll be happy and when he does come back as a Bruin, I'll have an NHL come back watching those games again. If the trade doesn't happen, then I still refuse to watch NHL games and the NHL is still dead to me.
