Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

\ thatll be the deciding factor to pull the trigger, lol

LOL! Well I wouldn't say about pulling triggers, I just meant what I said which I refused to watch NHL games. My parents knew how I expressed, they knew I'm right that Don Sweeney traded Looch was still a big mistake, Sweeney was a great defenseman for the Bruins back then, but to me he's a lousy GM, it's like I'm looking back when Steve Kasper (former foward of the Bruins) coached for the Bruins in 1995-96 and he's just the worst coach the Bruins got, the worst move he made was benching both Cam Neely and Kevin Stevens in a Toronto Maple Leafs in early 96'. The Lucic trade is like the same episode when Joe Thornton got traded away to San Jose 10 years, I didn't get over it until a few years later, now I can't get over this trade and I don't think I'll ever will. Peter Chiarelli made some dumb moves trading away out best since they traded away Tim Thomas. They got no tough fighters like Shawn Thornton, no power fowards at all. No Horton, no Iginla and Boychuks. And as for Beleskeys and Rinaldos, those players are lousy to me, they don't fit with the Bruins.

I've been looking thru Twitter, re. Lucic and there are people other than myself expressed that they wanted Lucic back to Boston and one of them stated that since the trade Looch didn't look to happy to be in LA. I'd be very happy if Looch goes back to Boston, then I'd have a comeback watching the games again. Andrew Ladd is the perfect example, he won the Stanley Cup with Chicago in 2010 then traded afterwards to Atlanta which is now Winnipeg and recently they traded him back to Chicago. If Ladd gets traded back to where he played before well so can Looch. Anyways the NHL Trade Deadline was pretty much lousy anways.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Well the Bruins lost in their final game of the season to Ottawa 6-1 and thus failed to make the playoffs. Ah I knew they're not gonna make the playoffs and my point is proven anyways. If Don Sweeney haven't had traded away Milan Lucic, they would've still made the playoffs. I want Sweeney gone, Beleskey and Eriksson traded away and I really don't care if Claude Julien gets fired or not. That's what happened when you trade away great players, you killed the elite team.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Yep first time in 46 years theyre saying. I dunno how i feel about that, we stole your game or too bad canadian culture takes this hit

Well everybody in Canada either suck it up and watch the playoffs or they don't wanna it's their choice, they'll realize that CBC and Sportsnet will lose ratings if they don't wanna watch the playoffs. It's a Rogers curse.

Of course I don't care of any Canadian team make the playoffs next year, but I never wanted Montreal there.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Claude Julien remains as Bruins coach debunking rumours speculating he'll be fired to be named Ottawa Senators new coach after Dave Cameron was fired by the Sen's.

Well I didn't care Julien stays or gets fired, I know is I wanted Don Sweeney fired, that elite team killer softened the Bruins with no tough players and power forwards that's why they failed and I knew all along.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Tampa Bay Lightning just eliminated Detroit Red Wing in Game 5 in a 1-0 win in the first round. Also it's the final NHL game for Pavel Datsyuk into retirement to return hone to Russia in possibility of signing with the KHL.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

The NHL just got a new celebrity fan. Here's a hint, he's a 4x Champion (3 WWE, 1 World Heavyworld), a Grand Slam Champion and a WWE Hall Of Fame? Give up?

SHAWN MICHAELS

The real reason HBK started becoming a fan is due to the fact that that the Pittsburgh Penguins got a line up team left wing Carl Hagelin, center Nick Bonino and right wing Phil Kessel, given the nickname of the "HBK Line" during Game 2 of the Tampa Bay Lightning vs Pittsburgh Penguins game when captain Sidney Crosby scored his first ever OT winning goal in the playoffs 3-2.

Check out both NHL.com and Sportsnet.ca about HBK's tweets.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

The Tampa Bay Lightning just defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in OT in a 4-3 in Pittsburgh. Shawn Michaels indeed attended the game.

Here's a pick of HBK meeting Le Magnifique himself.

San Jose Sharks vs Pittsburgh Penguins for the Stanley Cup. Game 1 tonight.

I predict the Sharks will win their first Cup in franchise history.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

I want the Sharks and am glad Joe Thornton finally has a chance to win the Cup.
He needs to cut his beard.

Joe Thornton used to be my favourite player for the Bruins until the trade 10 years ago. The hockey beards can't be shaved off until the Cup is won. Hockey beards are traditional in the playoffs. Don't remind me of that idiot chariman of NBC Sports whose against hockey beards, nobody has a right to kill that tradition like Rogers killed Saturday night HNIC tradition which belongs to CBC.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

Oh yes I know about the beards and it made its way into baseball as well and even there I say Shave It Off. But I know it must stay on. I thought it was great how reporters were questioning Joe about it instead of the Sharks about the actual series. I forgot about NBC sports chairman wanting beards shaved off. I know it will cement Crosby's legacy with Lemieux if Penguins win but someone new would be nice.

Well as much I predicted the Sharks are gonna win, I didn't care if the Penguins win the Cup since I don't watch NHL games anymore. I did a thread about that last year and I was disgusted by his demand for wanting players to shave beards off during the playoffs and I even tweeted that his demand pisses me off and I said #Hockeybeards 4 LIFE BABY!!! That idiot is not only one of those tradiditon killers, but he's also a beard hater. It's the players and the fans choice to keep their beards for the playoffs, not his.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

First Mark Lazarus and now Guy Lafleur, another beard hater. He's bashing Joe Thornton and Brent Burns (both from San Jose) saying their beards are a disgrace to the game, OH SHUT UP GUY! You're a disgrace! Just because you never had beard throughout your hockey career doesn't give you the right call others who had beards are a disgrace, it's their choice including the fans to grow their beards for the playoffs, even during hockey season, it's their right and choice, not yours. So keep your big mouth shut and mid your damned business ya classless act! Now you're another reason why I hate Montreal Canadiens.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here (R.I.P. Gordie Howe)

My Lafleur bashing aside. I just found out a heartbreaking news on Twitter. NHL Legend Gordie Howe passed away at the age of 88.
Mr hockeys stats are really impressive when you consider he played alot in original 6 so no expansion watered down patsies. Its hard to compare eras but my alltime team is Gretz, lemieux, gordy up front, borque and orr on defense. Not sure about my goalie, probably Roy. RIP Gordie

Yep, Triple H made a customized WWE title belt and sent it to the Penguins team.

I began to believe that Shawn Michael's new fandom to hockey is what makes the Penguins winning the Cup all because of their "HBK" line.

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

The NHL finally got a 31st franchise which is Las Vegas, honestly I'm not very thrilled about I mean the NHL got enough Amercian franchise, we need more Canadian franchise, like bring the Quebec Nordiques back, but the Quebec franchise isn't happening due to "geographical imbalance", geographical imbalance? What's that even mean, I say that's a lame @$$ excuse from preventing a Canadian franchise to enter the NHL, come on enough American francise already.

I found out yesterday that the Los Angeles Kings let Milan Lucic go after negotiations failed so Looch went to the Free Agent market which I'm happy he's no longer a King anymore and there's a possible good chance the Boston Bruins will sign him back with a new contract. If they did sign him back, then I'm ready for a comeback that is if Edmonton and Vancouver doesn't get which I don't want. Hell no to Vancouver thinking of snatching him, not after the incident a few years ago when a drunk got into his way making Looch wanna punch him and a defaming graffiti at a church he goes to in Vancouver.

I said that before and I'll say it again.

I WANT LOOCH BACK!!!
I WANT LOOCH BACK!!!

Re: any NHL Hockey fans on here

2 trades happened today.

Montreal Canadiens traded away PK Subban to Nashville Predators for Shea Weber. Edmonton Oilers traded away Taylor Hall to New Jersey Devils for Adam Larsson. Steven Stamkos resigned with Tampa Bay Lightning for an 8 year extension contract.
