Re: Your last MJ purchase

My last purchase was something I've been wanting to add to my collection for the longest time, but I'll probably have to tone down on my Michael spending for the next couple of months as the price wasn't as nice.

Limited edition pocelain HIStory figure numbered 685/1000 from the Carlitta Collection

Re: Your last MJ purchase

It just arrived today from eBay. An unopened Pepsi can with the Jackson's signatures from the 80's!!!

I have a few more things coming this week so luckily my wife doesn't check this forum!

Re: Your last MJ purchase

I recently got the Japanese Invincible album white cover version.

And the Hot Toys Dangerous tour opening cosbaby. Photo below is stock. There aren't many of these available for sale, and this is my second. I must say that although the Hot Toys larger figures are of great detail and quality these are not. Both of my figures, including this came broken. This was broken in three places and the quality is disappointing. The damages are not caused in transit, because it came packed well - the outerbox did not show any wear. I love collecting MJ figures, and have always wanted to complete the cosbaby set, but now I wonder whether it's worthwhile to pursue?

I admire how you can bring yourself to buy that. If I were in possession of that I would always have a linger of uncertainty that was real at the back of my head. How on earth can you ever be 100% certain autographs are real?

I see what you are saying and completely understand where uncertainty would lay however... I have been collecting Michaels autographs for many years (many in person) and have come to understand the construction of Michaels autograph. There of course are many, many fakes online but there are 3 simple rules to remember:

1. Know the seller... try to get a bit of background info on the seller themselves.

2. Provenance. As much information about the item as can be gathered. Never rely on a certificate alone, whoever it is issued by.

3. Finally, study study study. Of course, the certainty will never be 100% now that Michael has passed, but 99% accuracy and your on to an (almost) sure thing x
