I agree that there are different types of demos.. for example Billie Jean home demo and Billie Jean studio demos. And I'm not talking about music. After MJ recorded his final studio vocals (vocals considered for album release) that is not Demo anymore. It can be Early Version or different take or something but that is not a demo recording. After that music changes, producers and MJ are doing alternate mixes, for example Jam. But vocals remain the same.
I don't think Slave was finished for Dangerous (musically, production), but in my opinion those are his final vocals.
Also Dangerous is not a demo, it is named Dangerous (Early Version). And for all "Dangerous Album Test Pressing DAT" leaks I wouldn't call those versions demos because they are not that. I would call them early or alternate versions.
