Was there any need for this. Of course if they have any news they can share, they will share it. It's their job, it's why they are being paid for. and unless they are given the go ahead, they won't tell anyone anything. so asking them for it won't make a difference.
 
I also don´t understand some negative reaction to this GREAT NEWS! It´s ALL bout a new album. This or that way we all will receive those songs anyhow, .......anyway. As I understand right it´s no official announcement directly comin´ from Estate! How ever I can´t imagine an album without cover, credits or pictures.

Even if the article is true, the Estate wasn't going to confirm it like that. Obviously they want to come out with the announcement in their own time and whenever they have planned it. So calm down and be patient, it's coming. :)

There's obviously a new MJ album coming, and it probably will involve the phone. They probably denied it as they're wanting to announce it properly themselves rather than agreeing to some article.
 



Timbaland's illustrious discography is about to get a little more — well, illustrious.
On Thursday night, a Timbaland-produced snippet of Michael Jackson's posthumous "Slave to the Rhythm" track leaked onto the Internet. The minute-long clip starts with a swift violin line and then a build of 808s, funky percussion and a rolling synth before Timbo throws in bells and whistles.

For a moment, halfway through, the track dies down and quickly picks up with the King of Pop's fiery vocals. " 'Cause she's a slave to rhythm," MJ sings with his familiar flair and patented gasps for air.
The track doesn't get too far before it fades out, but it's enough to give fans just a small taste of what's in store from the upcoming MJ album, which Timbaland has confirmed he's working on.
"I have a lot of unreleased Michael Jackson," Tim told Revolt TV back in September. "It would complete my legacy," he added about the impact this new album would have on his career.

The album is not cancelled - Officially they have never announced an album. to cancel. The MJonline said the news that the album will be released on Xperia Phone in April is not the truth. (It will not be released on the Xperia phone) They didn't say there wasn't an album forth coming at all. They also said if there was an announcement they will Happily make it not Sky news or anyone else. Reading comprehension....

In a nut shell They were not happy that Sky news was jumping the gun announcing an album and giving false info about it when they didn't state anything. They want to be the one to Happily announce.

Yes the Album was canceled & there will never be another release forever! It's because of the unfunded speculation & negativity!
And all devices which have the recent leaked tracks stored on them, will destroy themselves, if the user doesn't delete all MJ files until Sunday 17:77 pm.

Back in August 2013, Timbaland revealed L.A. Reid enlisted him to work on a posthumous Michael Jackson album featuring Jackson’s unreleased vocals and Tim’s production. Tim said back then that he’d have the work done by the end of 2013, but only now are we hearing the first bit of music from the project.
For Timbaland Thursdays, the producer posted a 1:07 snippet of a new song called “Slave To The Rhythm.” The majority of the chunk is a typically busy Tim arrangement, with his syncopated percussion intertwining with 20/20 Experience-type strings. Then the King of Pop storms in with his angry voice, repeating “She’s a slave to the rhythm.”
To be honest, the Timbo sound kind of overwhelms MJ on this one, but it’s tough to really know with such a short sample. Hear it for yourself below.

guess it's time to move on until an official word come's from the estate.. hope it's not too long, the short time fans thought there was an album on the way.. everyone was so excited.. i'm sure we'll be even more excited when an official press release pops up on michaeljackson.com

Last summer Timbaland revealed he had been tapped to produce a new posthumous Michael Jackson album.
The Grammy award-winning producer and rapper didn’t offer many details, except the project was being helmed by Epic Records head L.A. Reid and that he had “a lot of unreleased” material to work with.
As part of his Timbaland Thursday series of free tunes, the producer unleashed a snippet of a remixed version of “Slave to the Rhythm.”
A version of the previously unreleased track surfaced last year featuring Justin Bieber trading verses with the late King of Pop over a pulsating, and generic, Europop beat. It was mostly scrubbed from the Internet.


The snippet leaked by Timbaland is questionable. It opens with a jarring and clunky percussion arrangement and his hallmark futuristic effects before Jackson drops in with the hook.
Though somewhat unfair to judge the track based off of a minute-long sample, it's hard to be excited about the rest of the track judging from what we heard.
“You have to be a true Michael Jackson fan to appreciate what I’m about to do,” Timbaland said in the interview announcing the project.
Timbaland has been a go-to hitmaker since the '90s after groundbreaking work with Missy Elliott and the late Aaliyah put him on the map. He’s crafted hits for a who’s who of music including Janet Jackson, Usher, Nas, Eminem, Nelly Furtado, Brandy, Ludacris, Jennifer Lopez, Jamie Foxx, M.I.A., OneRepublic, Chris Brown, Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake and Jay Z.


Last year he produced and co-wrote multiple tracks on a handful of the year’s biggest selling albums, including Timberlake’s “The 20/20 Experience -- The Complete Experience,” Jay Z’s “Magna Carta Holy Grail” and Beyoncé’s self-titled surprise album.
His producing chops are undeniable, but given Timbaland's pedigree we're hoping the rest of the project sounds better than this preview -- especially considering the last posthumous Jackson album didn't go over so well.

I don't think it was ever claimed by the Sky News article that it will ONLY be released on the Phone, though. If fans e-mailed that to the Estate they interpreted it wrong. They just wrote it will be released on the phone FIRST.

you guys theres no reason to buy the phone for the music.. the music will be released soon after.. It will be released shortly after the phone! The phone does not have a "confirmed" release date.. The April month we see are reports and rumored which in phone community are often right but sometimes not.. No dates have actually be confirmed, generally they do that purposely..

With phones they don't let release dates known until last last minute so employees don't give out information too early.. If you call right now employees don't even have the phone in there system yet. That is very common.

lets say these reports are right (april) I would say it would be middle to late April only because I'd say they would give release date confirmation more than 3 weeks before release which first part of April.. So I would say the album would be out April/may..

I don't see the album being released 2 weeks max after the phone.. They would have to race piracy for that.. I'm gonna go off on a lim and give an educated guess that one of these will be the U.S. release date for the album

April 18
April 25
May 5
May 20
May 27

This is if the phone indeed is released in April...

"IF & WHEN" this becomes a single to buy we need to get it to Number 1! I have a feeling this will be the lead single of the album and this will be a great choice!

For the first time now I think Rodney Jerkins is on board for this project and that he is one of the producers. He tweeted:

Also he's been tweeting #EVOLVEMUSIC a lot lately. Don't know what that is but maybe is something MJ related. I hope we'll finally hear Escape and CGYWOOM.

I am sure they will release it other than just the phone. I am assuming it will be in the stores and iTunes as well. I hope. All this freaking out is stressing me out to be honest. The estate hasn't announced anything. They are the only people I am waiting for to say something. I don't trust any other source to be honest.
