Yes I think you're probably right.
It just makes sense.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

^^ What if The Future with Michael appears on their album? :)

Not giving it to the Estate because "Michael wouldn't want that". Still releasing it on their album (not his solo work) would suck and would be a bad move, in my opinion.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

will.i.am all he needs is permission from the estate, he owns the instrumentals so I don't see it as impossible if it is to appear on B.E.P new album with their vocals.

That would be a kick in the balls. It would be really annoying if he did that and the fan-base would also hate him more.

I agree with you, but Will only said that he'd release those 4 Song's if Katherine asked him to! you really think she would?

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

Will.i.am really needs to allow the music to come out. I respect that he wants to keep Michaels wishes true, but the fact is he does not know what Michael would have wanted.. If the music was completed, there is a good chance he wanted to release it.. Even if it came out years later he would have most likely re-worked it a bit for release. Just like he does often with other songs.

We really don't know, no one does.. So if it's great music and Will.i.am wants MJ's legacy to keep growing, than I would say get it released to the public because one thing about Michael that always remained true.. Was that he wanted to make big impacts in the entertainment industry. Great music is a big way he's always done that.

She´s busy with other things. It´s possible she has forgotten these songs exists.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

Saw a video from April on will's account and the song has the hashtag in the name. Maybe it's really Michael's song.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

I would like to see the will.i.am songs released. The estate has been wanting them for some time but Will won't budge with the instrumentals. And its four more releasable songs they have from the post-trial era.

I agree with you, but Will only said that he'd release those 4 Song's if Katherine asked him to! you really think she would?

If my memory serves me correctly, he never said that he WOULD release the songs if Katherine asked him; he said that he would consider it more than he does now.

Saw a video from April on will's account and the song has the hashtag in the name. Maybe it's really Michael's song.

If you're suggesting that #thatPOWER is actually a reworked version of a Michael song, it's not. That is the absolute last thing Michael would ever release.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

Never said that. I was talking about "#theFUTURE". Maybe we'll have a surprise on Monday.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

Monday in 2015? I kid, I kid. I see no will.i.am MJ reference in his tweet. Don't think he's putting his stuff out yet, although I would love (!) to be proven wrong.

Holy crap, Will.I.Am keeps getting crappier and crappier

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

^ Why is D.I.E funny? Michael really did have a song he was doing called D.I.E... if it was really with slipknot I don't know but..

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

That list is a joke. I really wouldn't take that as a source for there being a lot of songs out there.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

^ well the point was that there is alot of music.. We have no idea how complete some are but most of the list is lagit info.. even if we take out 10 or so songs that are not real.. The point is there is alot!! and to the above comment about D.I.E. Michael really was working on a song with that title!!

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

Changes to the LONG list KOPV posted (I know it's from Wikipedia, but still, I won't go all the way there to make changes that will be altered by a troll):

Sorry for all of these! The OCD in me kicked in haha.

  • Adore You was not written or recorded in 2009.
  • I'm pretty sure Bad Company isn't even a song, but actually a short documentary from the Bad era. Off the top of my head, can't be sure though.
  • Those who have worked with Michael during the HIStory sessions have said that they doubt that a song titled Basszouille even exists.
  • Blue Gangsta is the only title of the track. No Friend of Mine was an unauthorized remix.
  • To my knowledge, there is no confirmed date of recording for California Grass.
  • Almost positive Can You Feel Me is a Will Smith song that samples Can You Feel It.
  • Can't Stop Me Now may or may not exist. It's listed in For the Record under the Rumor Has It section.
  • Cheat on You isn't real.
  • Color of My Soul wasn't written in 2000, but rather c. 1988.
  • Creep In isn't real.
  • Crush may or may not exist.
  • D.I.E. was never recorded with Slipknot; that rumor makes me laugh every time.
  • Dark Lady was not written or recorded in 2009.
  • Days in Gloucestershire was written c. 1998.
  • Deep in the Night wasn't written in 1987.
  • Slash does not perform on Do You Know Where Your Children Are, nor is there an existing remix version with Jay Z.
  • Dreams was written in 1993, not 2007.
  • Easy probably doesn't exist.
  • Entertainment Tonight isn't real.
  • No one knows if Get Into the Groove actually evolved into Black or White.
  • H2O was not written or recorded in 2009.
  • Not even sure what Heart Remix is.
  • Michael did not work on I Am a Loser in 2004, 2005 or 2006. To my knowledge he first picked it up again in 2007.
  • I Forgive You wasn't written or recorded in 2007.
  • The instrumental version of I Have This Dream isn't real.
  • Innocent Man was written and recorded in 1994, not 2009.
  • Love Never Felt So good was written and recorded in 1980, not 1983.
  • Monster was recorded circa 1999 and was not reworked in 2009.
  • Neverland Landing was not reworked in 2009.
  • Ode to Sorrow wasn't recorded in 1984.
  • Pictures with Lady Gaga is an Internet rumor; the two never met in person.
  • Pyramid Girl was written and recorded in 1983, not 1986.
  • Revolution may or may not exist, according to For the Record.
  • River Ripple never existed, and is, again, an Internet rumor.
  • Rock Tonight was not written or recorded in 2009.
  • Seven Digits was written by Bryan Loren, but Michael never recorded it.
  • Brain Beat never recorded She Was Loving Me; he wrote and recorded his own song with that title. Moreover, it was recorded in March 1999, not 2000.
  • Silent Spring wasn't written or recorded in 2009.
  • Slave to the Rhythm was not completed in 1998.
  • Michael never recorded a solo version of To Satisfy You.
  • Escape was never titled Xscape or Xcape.
  • You Are a Liar wasn't intended for the Invincible album.

That list is a joke. I really wouldn't take that as a source for there being a lot of songs out there.

Like KOPV said, at least 90% of the songs on that list, maybe more, do exist. Around fifty or more of them were named by Michael in his 1993 court deposition; others were registered with the US Copyright Office; others were spoken of by Michael's collaborators.

There are a few fake titles though, and a lot of false information.

That of course doesn't mean that they all exist in finalized versions but it shows promise. And it shows that the estate HAS to have more than seventeen songs. No way, with the 219 song titles known to have been worked on by Michael at SOME point, are only seventeen releasable.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

^ That list is a joke. A nice insight to what Michael was planning but I bet most of that is just music, song ideas or lyrics. I doubt a majority of that exists.

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

^ so its a joke because you don't think the songs exhist?

and since when is it a normal thing to come up with a title of a song before creating the concept of the music first and get things started.. Usually Michael would make music and in the process pick a title, and maybe change it as the song develops.

It's not like he sits there and says "Im going to make a song called Shut Up And Dance." then make music later.. no way! it does not work that way

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

^ That list is a joke. A nice insight to what Michael was planning but I bet most of that is just music, song ideas or lyrics. I doubt a majority of that exists.
Talk is cheap

Re: News and discussion about possible upcoming MJ album

Bold we've heard, or know of as worked on to some extent...

1. The Way You Love Me
2. The Loser
3. Best Of Joy
4. Is She Coming Back (Freez?)
5. D.I.E
6. Dark Lady
7. H2O
8. Bottom Of My Heart (this song was talked about in public)
9. Hold My Hand
10. Remember What I Told You
11. Can't Stop Lovin You Scared Of The Moon -> Beautiful Girl -> Cheater
25. To Late To Turn Back Now
26. Vocals/Vocoder?
27. Ghost Of Another Lover

And there are songs that are not highlighted that Michael put notes next to.. Which tells us he planned things around it, conceptual at least. circling a song would indicate interest in it, or urgent action.. pointing to it would bring attention to it too..

There is no way this list is a "joke".. If anything this is the most credible note we've had about his music since he past.

There might be more confirmed info, this is off the top of my head
