^What kind of thing is that? Why would you say something like that about the type of thinking that goes on in someone's country? Your comment reminds me of when I was in college. In the Spanish class the professor said that since the type of building we were talking about was new, there was no single word in Spanish for it. When that happens 2 words are joined together to make a word. Then, some student of another culture said, "what kind of language is that; they don't even have a word for that type of building." Then she sniggered to her friend. There were some Spanish/Latino students in the class and thank goodness they did not hear. I find these statements very distasteful in the least, and I think some of us need a course on cultural diversity.
Exotic I know how you feel about listening to him. I just clicked on the exact point in the video and stopped as soon after I got the statement. Cold play guy was talking about who influenced him and mentioned Michael Jackson. Stern was astonished and said he did not like Michael Jackson, to which the cold play guy responded that Stern was an idiot. The cold play guy said he liked the fact everywhere he goes people know about Michael or words to that effect.
