I recall their last album doing pretty well and they had some pretty good songs on it. Their latest one has been pretty much #1 on iTunes ever since it came out on Friday (until now anyway).

The new Do You Know Where Your Children Are is the only remix that I just can't accept. Everything else, all in all, was very tastefully done and well executed (some minor flaws but that's to be expected). The album design and promotion is excellent, the liner notes are amazing, but... sorry guys... DYKNWYCA 2014 remains unlistenable to me.

(but for me, BG is also in the "unlistenable" bin :ph34r:)

I so, so, so, so agree with you on that! Almost all the Michael Jackson classisc and number 1s were penned solely by the King of Pop. Genius might be an understatement. I looooooove Do You Know Where Your Children Are!!!!!!!!!!!!! The background sounds seem to be from another sphere. Can't get over how exciting this Xscape project turned out to be. Almost Michaelmania! :)

In my opinion DYKWYCA is among the best reworks on the album. The weakest (and/or only partially good) are: STTR, BG, Xscape.

I appreciate both original and new versions of the 8 songs for different reasons and also depending on my mood :) Even the new SSTR vrsion has good moments for me (Intro + Bridge and the vocals).
Really diggin the "dark" atmosphere, the deep voice and the drumsounds in the beginning of the song Xscape lately.

I find it interesting how each of us like different things on the new album. That didn't happen with Michael.

Which do you like?
I like almost all of them very much (both versions).
For me, the new versions of STTR, BG and partially Xscape should/could have been better. And also the "de de de de de de" sound in DYKWYCA took some time getting used to, and a few other minor things. Other than that it's great :)

I like all of the remixes a lot.

I'm actually very pleased with how DYKWYCA and Blue Gangsta turned out. I think Xscape is the weakest remix on the album, and it's still very good.

We need to get MJ to #1 guys!! If you live in the US go out and buy as many copies (separate transactions of course) as you can. He is competing with The Black Keys which have the advantage.

Happy that everyone has the new album. I went to buy it today here in Turkey. Guess what? Maybe if you come back next month we will have it!!!! SO frustrated. Guess for me the wait continues.

As has been said before, MJ has a lot of fans who prefer to get a physical copy of his albums, let's hope that is enough to overcome the small iTunes lead from Black Keys. :angel:

Didn't someone say before in this thread that they asked the Estate Online Team and it's just a fan myth that if you buy several copies together it will count only once? It will count as many as many copies you buy - whether seperately or not.

New, hands down. The original has an incredible atmosphere that sounds like something Michael would have done, but it's just so boring after a while. Damien Shields definitely hyped everyone up with talks of a guitar solo and an incredible drum beat. I would say the original is the worst song on the album, as disappointing as that is to admit.

I never read what Damien Shields wrote about the original Chicago, yet it's one of my favourites on the album. New version is OK, but I prefer the original's direction and atmosphere.
