Is that plastic jewel case or soft digi pack with poster?
(I don't speak any German)
It's without the poster.

This is new, you will be able to store more than 40 million songs on one tape.
p.s. No, it's not a new file format. It's still digital technology. However what is interesting is the space available on it.
p.p.s. From wiki:
Super Audio CD (SACD) is a read-only optical disc for audio storage, introduced in 1999. It was developed jointly by Sony andPhilips Electronics, and intended to be the successor to their Compact Disc format. While the SACD format can offer more channels (e.g. surround sound), and a longer playing time than CD, research published in 2007 found no significant difference in audio quality between SACD and standard CD.[SUP][1][/SUP]
Having made little impact in the consumer audio market, by 2007 SACD was deemed to be a failure by the press.[SUP][2][/SUP] A small market for SACD has remained, serving the audiophile community.[SUP][3][/SUP]
Xscape is more cohesive than the 2010 offering that was the 'MICHAEL' album, it provides a more intimate sound and a more complete finish to Michael's recording's... the estate have gone full out with this project, giving the fans the original demo's which i admire massively, it is awesome that we have two Darkchild productions of the title track but, Michael's vocals are so much more prominent in the 2010 mix, especially where his baritone on ''chaaange'' goes wild, the line ''she's only twelve years old'' on the demo is also extremely unique, the demo of loving you places you in heaven.. whilst walking among the angels and hearing them thrive exquisite through there harps, Michael's voice captures the essence of all beauty.
Yep, SACD is quite rare. But the discs that are available are incredible to listen to. There's a file format called DSD that is basically the equivalent of WAV file on a CD, it allows you to playback a SACD from a file on a disc. My Onkyo receiver supports that format natively which is great.
yeah we have two different takes on the line "shes only twelve years old" between the original and new versions, which is interesting. They did a great job with the original/demos. I was amazingly surprised on how they turned out.
I think the "original" version of DYKWYCA is the latest avaible downmix that's approved by MJ (from ca. 1988/89). He worked afterwards a bit more on it but those do exist only on multitracks.yeah we have two different takes on the line "shes only twelve years old" between the original and new versions, which is interesting. Personally, i think the estate released the first/early version of Do you know where your children are for the ''original version'' it was highlighted in the booklet as being recorded during the early bad sessions. Which vocal take do you prefer? the BAD Version is my preference...
Cool, I also have an Onkyo receiver
Indeed!
I believe that the 2010 remixes of DYKWYCA and STTR for the Michael cd where actually better than the 2014 remixes on Xscape. They are actually not that far away from the originals because they followed the theme of the Michael cd, i.e., the attempt to complete or remix the song as if Michael would have completed it; in their view of course.
More Jerkins' Xscape posts that I enjoyed:
I've found a limited edition of the album Xscape:
Lmao!!!!
The original DYKWYCA beats the 2010 and New version, even though the 2010 had the same concept as the original. Original > 2010 > New
Question: Have you noticed the extra screams during the chorus of New Xscape ? I can't make out what is being said or shouted but you can definitely hear it in the background during the chorus.
They really should have had this album out for Mother's Day.
This album is solid. The more I listen to it, the more I love all of it. The new bridge on Xscape is AMAZING. Can't get over it. And I'm really loving DYKWYCA the more I hear it. So funky.

I found a picture of your living room:
I second that. Do You Know is a grower, not a shower. I was ambivalent over it at first, but damn, Timbaland did a solid job remaking that one.
Something in me says that you went in with the pretense that Michael's original work was the best and that the reproductions were garbage. I don't want anyone to scream at me for this one, but come on. Every reproduction gets a majorly low rating, whereas every original gets five stars? You're the first person I've seen thus far to not like a single reproduction, as well as the first to give every original cut a perfect rating.

I suppose that lots of remixes by DJs will be appearing for the clubs.
You're really missing he point. IT'S NOT MJ. Our beloved artist passed away. We have a bunch of producers doing their own thing with his wonderful work.
In case you didn't notice, almost all those who "criticize"' the remixes also love the demos. I ADORE BG, XSCAPE AND STTR (leaked version, more than earlier demo on the CD). I don't like most remixes and think they don't do justice to the originals. How is that in any way criticizing MJ? It's the other way around! I think MJ wouldn't like some of those tracks as well.
We have a right to discuss what we love and don't love about how a bunch of people present the legacy of our hero to the public in 2014.
Make your voice heard too, don't silence the rest of us.
P.S. My favorite album is HIStory, followed by Invincible.
