Assuming the deluxe version is for hardcore fans- Not sure it makes sense to include the JT duet on the deluxe version. If at all it was needed in the first place, it made more sense to have it on the regular album as a bonus for casual listeners.

Im not convinced hardcore fans will be keen on the JT duet.

Michael's not gonna shine on his own. Face it. If it was just him, this single probably would be a commercial flop.

You can't be serious? Who the hell care how song does in chart. You actually want them to rework and destroy Michael's music just so it can chart.

Even if it does go number one it doesn't actually count as Michael's music in my opinion.

Fact is the Estate has no faith in Michaels music and fans defend them.

AHHHH I'm so excited!!! This is easily the greatest project that the Estate and Sony have done for Michael since he passed away. THANK YOU!!!

Can't believe I'm going to be able to download a NEW MICHAEL JACKSON SONG within a few hours too!!! :woohoo:

I don't care how it charts; honestly, I would rather have an incredible song not chart whatsoever than have a poor song chart highly. But if the estate wants a hit, they need Timberlake.

The problem is they need integrity and honesty. Not go after charts and modern music.

It's kinda true if you think about it. In 2012, they released Don't Be Messin' as the first single for Bad 25 and look what happened to it..now imagine how long Slave to the Rhythm has been on youtube and not a single non-mj fan noticed it up until that stupid JB had to leak his own version. I think the Estate and Sony are making the right decisions for this album if not eh, the only important things are to attract the public for this album and think how MJ would've wanted this album to be

The Girl Is Mine was released from Thriller as the first single for commercial reasons - to get white radios play Thriller. So it's not like a similar trick wasn't done in MJ's lifetime. It's a bit similar situation IMO: back then you had to catch the attention of a white audience, now you have to catch the attention of a young generation.

The difference is that Mike decided to collaborate with will. Now with this situation, it'd be forcing an artificial duet.

Because no other dead artist has had their music finished posthumously.

Oh wait. It happens all the time. Amy Winehouse, Tupac, John Lennon, Notorious B.I.G.

The difference here is that their estates don't give us the original versions, to uphold the singer's artistic integrity. Michael's estate is.

I care about how the song does in charts. It was very important to Michael and it should be very important to his Estate and his fans.

Nobody want them to "destroy Michael's music just so it can chart". Some of us want exactly what they are doing now. Finishing unfinished songs, making them current and relevant and doing all that professionally and respectfully and with LOVE.

Estate have very much faith in Michael's music. That's why they are releasing all this. Adding Justin Timberlake to an unfinished song is very respectful if it's done right (just like Quincy and Michael did for Minnie Riperton).

Are the original demo's being Mastered by Bernie Grundman also, or just the contemporized versions? it's possible that 'You' was the working title during the BAD era sessions.. who knows? we'll see! looking forward to hearing these tracks in true definition.

You have got the demos!!! Can you understand that? So no one destroys MJ's music for you. You can opt to listen to only to the demos.

I guess then MJ did not have faith in his own music when he released TGIM from Thriller as the first single...

He did not have faith in his own music when instead of putting demos on Thriller 25 he went for current artists reworking his hits...

Nobody could be that naive to believe that an unfinished demo from 1986, where Michael mumbles the words would charter?. All we need is a good song and the conglomerates to market and promote it with music videos and getting radio stations to play the song and voila.

I'm really excited to wake up tomorrow to great, great music. If I don't like the remix (pretty safe bet I'll love it) there's always the original or I can delete the track and wait for the other songs to release as it's only a side remix, not a completely different, unavailable elsewhere track.

They did it to get more stable airplay. Radios don't play veteran artists that's a fact, so they needed this to make them pay attention and hopefully pave the way for the next singles!

First time in a LONG time I'm genuinely excited for a new MJ project and have really high hopes. Bad 25 I was excited for, just knew the VHS would be a problem for others. Michael is self explanatory and Vision is too. Let's do this!

I love to read all your positive great posts! - It's great with some optimism and happiness!

I am not a big fan of JT - but this is just a bonus track on the deluxe edition - and I am very sure I will like the duet version too! - I will propably prefer MJ solo version - the track on the album, but now I get both! - Nothing to complain about really!

I get the SOLO MJ song - and if JT can help promote the song - and the album - it's great really!! - What's not to like???
