Personally I would like to know when so many mods were appointed :cheeky:

But seriously some people really need to lighten up, most of the joking is actually on topic anyway.

I haven't purchased the album yet but will be doing so probably on the day it comes out and will buy it through Itunes. If I really really like it I'll buy the CD to add to my collection.

I am telling you, if we strictly stick to the on-topic discussion - the NEWS - this thread would be empty.

So, instead of making this thread/forum empty, why not socializing the time the album comes out? What harm can it actually do? If we reduce the thread to speculation, we won't learn a damn thing, then it would be better to simply go to the NEWS no discussion section and read that thread and refresh it as often as we want without being bothered by any sort of discussion.

The discussion about headphones had to do with the equipment people are planning to use to listen to the album, Paul Anka is the co-writer of one of the album songs, LNFSG is the first single off of the album. All these things have to do with the album. I don't know what the Bruno Mars thing was about, but at least it just came up once and that was it. The absurdist posts are made continuously.

I also do not get the point about there not being any news. We just got the announcement about the first single yesterday and promotion around the world is picking up. And even when there is little news, does that mean we have to fill up the topic with random unrelated stuff? The earth won't blow up if this topic does not get 25 new pages of posts every day... And why wouldn't we speculate about what the album is going to be like or what we expect? That is what this topic is about!

It's great to socialize during the wait, but clearly many members come to this thread to discuss the album and things related to it, and are not interested in other things. I still really do not see what the big deal is about using the Xscape Valve topic for offtopic discussion and this topic for discussion about the Xscape album.

The consistent offtopic/socializing posts have chased plenty of members away from this thread already.

Anyway, I guess we're not going to agree about this so let's leave it and try to focus on the album again, each in our own ways. :)

8pm EASTERN Time is actually only *1:00am* in the UK. New York is five hours away from London, not eight! If we can get an actual live stream from the East Coast as it happens, then plan to watch from 1:00 to 4:00am UK (2:00 - 5:00 CEST in Europe).

Otherwise, if someone streams an NBC channel from the West Coast, THAT would be three hours later. But the awards show is happening/is broadcast live on the East Coast at 8pm, i. e. 1:00am UK time ;)

Here's the deal: I said it a couple pages back and I will say it again, but this is the last time.

If you want a thread that is strictly news with no discussion, there is a thread for that: Xscape News Only [no discussion].

This thread is for news AND discussion of- and related to- Xscape. And just like if you were talking to somebody in real life, conversations here do have a tendency to go a little off-topic. Not every single post is going to be Xscape-related because there just isn't that much news out there yet. I am sorry if that is hard for some of you to understand and accept, but people cannot discuss information they do not have. Period.

In just over 24 hours, the dynamic in here will change dramatically. And in just under two weeks (I know! :woohoo:) all this off-topic bickering garbage will be a thing of the past.

The mods/staff here at MJJC are keeping a very good eye on what is going on around here and if we feel that we need to step and and take action, we will not hesitate to do so. But as of right now, the conversation is fine, nobody is breaking any rules, nobody is offending anybody else and everybody is getting along. So what exactly is the problem?


Honestly, I think people tend to get so caught up in themselves that they forget why they're here and who they're here for and to support. If it wasn't for this man, none of us would even be here having this conversation.

No, the song will premiere tomorrow night, sometime between 8PM and 11PM EST, on the iHeartRadio Awards show, which is a televised event- like the MTV Music Awards.

I think the poster who reported that later wrote that the radio hosts said they were not sure anymore whether they could play it tomorrow. I doubt the song will be played anywhere before the official premiere.

Just to get an idea of the numbers that might be needed for a #1 on debut on Billboard, here are the most recent Billboard rankings:

#1: Frozen Soundtrack 115,000 (week ending 27 April)
#2. Honest 53,000
#3. The New Classic 52,000
