617316 views on this thread to let everybody know! Who knows, it could reach a million? I use this as my daily newspaper, http://www.mjjcommunity.com/forum/t...cussion-about-new-MJ-album-Xscape-May-13-2014 look at how much information we had gathered from finding out about these "spinning hardrives" to hearing about "The Best You've Never Heard". Promotion as we were told starts on the 28th of April (Facebook, Google and YouTube banners) And the iHeart Music Fest will be strong promotion, these also promoted Paul McCartney's album 'New' last year, which unfortunately didn't chart very well.

The deluxe version will contain 1 (in words: ONE) cd with 17 (in words:SEVENTEEN) tracks and 1 (in words: ONE) dvd with 2 (in words: TWO) videos.

Few stupid answers:

*Because it was difficult to put three songs on the same track, that's why they put them one after another.

*Because as they didn't put Jackson, they probably removed Michael too.

*German's version includes 2 CDS and most probably a VHS instead of a DVD.

Chicago is not exactly love song. It's more like Blue Gangsta. It talks about infidelity & distrust.

Because everybody knows MJ's face.

They wrote it wrong. It is 1 CD + 1 DVD.

Try reinstalling it. If that doesn't work you could contact Apple's support? :)

For me I only hear blue gangsta because of the chorus and the ending segment..Not soo fan of the verses or the lyrics...That's why i commonly listen to Fugees' mix more than MJ solo version *Hides under a table*

I think Blue Gangsta vocals are amazing. I'm not a big fan of the music though. That's why I'm very looking forward to hear the new version.

Tricia70, I believe you understand that complaining about someone you feel is complaining is, well, complaining so I will not discuss that further.

Please remember that the major reason we are getting those original demos is because of those being vocal about the negative issues with the Michael release. The marketing and the product offering is much better for Xscape because of those being vocal about the negative issues with the Bad25 release.

I believe you also understand that everyone has their own opinion and the thread is richer because of the diversity in those opinions. Because members were open and honest about what the issues were in the past (I was one of them in a particular Bad25 thread requested by Sony I believe), we have a better plan of action for Xscape’s success simply because Xscape is a better product than what was previously offered. The listening party reviews prove that.

Not all complaints should be dismissed as simply a complaint and not all complaints have to happen after the fact. Having one song appear four times on one cd offering can be a costly mistake and that needed to be said. If it is limited to specific regions (in this case, it appears for Amazon France and not Itunes U.S.) it goes a long way in keeping the core customer base (a.k.a. fans online) happy. Crisis adverted, eh? Those happy customers will alert others who will purchase the version they prefer and that is a positive.

I tried that too already. Nothing. I'm going to look for a solution, but so far nothing worked that was suggested. I have seen that lots of people have this problem. iTunes sucks!

I have to say the new Coldplay album will be hard to beat on the charts. I see its ad everywhere... And I'm not even a Coldplay fan, so it's not like they pop up because of my settings or browsing history or anything. Massive campaign for that album.

I don't think there's really any major albums coming out on the same day as Xscape in my country. Ghost Stories comes out a week after Xscape so I'm hoping Xscape can still get #1 or something... or at least some nice position in the top ten :)

Yep, Top 10 hopefully. Nr 1? I don't think so. Or maybe for 1 week if we are lucky. The campaign is just too big for Ghost Stories (much bigger than for Xscape IMO) and they are a current band. There will also be a special on the album on NBC: http://www.billboard.com/articles/c.../coldplay-ghost-stories-special-to-air-on-nbc

Yes, the campaign should start to heat up now. The Coldplay album is everywhere already and it's released one week after Xscape...

I really hope that the bonus track really is Hot Fun In The Summertime, but to be honest I really wouldn't mind what song they add. It's just a BONUS TRACK, I'm thankful for the ALBUM and I'm not going to complain just for a bonus track, let alone cancel my pre-order lol UNLESS... it's a Kanye West Remix.

In saying that though I do think its getting more promotion so far then probably any product released since his death.

That's true. But I think fans should be realistic about its chances on the charts and not expect it to be this smash Nr 1 record. It's very hard to compete with current acts who are out in full force promoting their album. For most of the general public MJ is history and they do not pay attention to a posthumus release as much as they do to a new record by a current artist. This could only change if one or two of the singles manage to become big hits.

I don't expect it to be this big #1 smash hit. I do kinda expect it to hit the top ten for at least a week, since both Michael and Bad 25 did. I don't know what to expect from this album to be honest, especially once Sony and The Estate get the campaign properly going later this week, starting with the premiere of a new song at the iHeartRadio show.

Well we know campaign will start at May 1th. Fans who where in Pre-listening- session told it will start in May.

Edit:
Leader from Malibu-forum told there will also special in TV.

Do you think that the different release dates for some countries, could affect the album sales?
I mean it would be better if the album would release at the same day.

It´s the same with other album from other artist. The releases in countries are set with the charts.
For example in Germany the charts are coming Fridasy, so the album-releases are also Friday. So you have one week for counting. In USA it`s Tuesday.

Ive seen nothing AT ALL about coldplay album... but then again, i've seen sod all promotion for this either!

"The promotion planned will bring surprises and Sony is going all out on this part of the project. Sony President, Sylvia Rhone, was present, as well as, John Branca and Karen Langford. I will say that there is a solid commitment to do this right and we can expect world-wide promotion…big time!"

I have faith on them that they do their best to promote this album.
