There is no autotune on the record. Some reviewer or fan would have mentioned it by now. There is only vocoder at the begining of one song and apparently some robotic effects in the beginning of DYKWYCA and that is in my opinion about the music, not the vocals.

Yes, but if you weren't on here, then you'd use that as a news source, it also gathers a round up instead of flicking through many pages on here.

Yes, there is a problem if the producers now put autotune, no matter what kind of autotune, on vocals that originally had no such.

What happened when MJ was alive is irrelevant - nothing can be compared to those days because MJ was there to bless it.

If it's a vocoder or some sort, I'm fine with it because like Onir said, that's about the music.

If MJ blessed it then Pentum, X or Y (with no pro sound engineering background) should voice his opinion and respect the others' opinions without callin' it shitty attitude ;) have a good one

I'm a nazi when it comes to touching MJ's vocals, no matter what, hence my reaction to you asking what the problem is if they use auto tune.

Let's not get auto tunes and melodyne mistaken... I see it often spoken about as the same thing.. While they do have similarities the results are fairly different. Melodyne is used in many many songs an no one would even guess.. And same with auto tunes, it's all about the way used

The fact that the official track listing release announcement states that a "collection" of the original recordings worries me. I was excited to get all of the original tracks in perfect quality along with the updated versions.

I guess it's bittersweet since that must mean there will be more unreleased/bonus tracks included (2Pac "Xscape" remix perhaps?)

I guess as long we get the original demos for "Chicago" and "Loving You" then it'll be ok with me, since we gave the originals of the others already.

We're getting all of them. Go take a look at the iTunes track listing: 16 places for the reproduced and original versions, plus one bonus track. It was simply a commenting error.

Yet again the Estate is doing their best at making you guess, by using 'choice' words in their descriptions.
Some of you folks read far too much into things.

Its simply 8 tracks then the same 8 tracks but in their original form and a bonus track :)

On the DANISH iTunes release date has been changed to May 12th !!!

Seems like Denmark will get Xscape on Monday May 12th !!!! YEAH !!!

i think there was an auto-tuned scream "aah" On the beginning of STTR, but that was Timbo's ad lib i think not MJ's one

Until now I think SONY and The Estate has done VERY well!

Announced the album - silence - small hints from the listening parties - silence - Track-list but only for Standard Edition revealed - silence

And at some point it will be like BANG - Huge promotion everywhere, then single and album is released and promotion with radio play etc. will be even bigger!!!
