(TAIWAN) Michael Jackson's Xscape still #1 in Western-Internacional Album Chart (#2 - main chart) with 7,25% of the albums sales.

I don't understand that chart. So both Mariah and Michael are #2 on the main chart?

http://www.g-music.com.tw/GMusicBillboard0.aspx

And both are #1 on International & Western chart?

http://www.g-music.com.tw/GMusicBillboard2.aspx
http://www.g-music.com.tw/GMusicBillboard7.aspx

How is that possible? They don't count each copy, just estimate the percentage? Or MJ and Mariah sold exactly the same amount of copies?

Wow, i was pretty sure with all the new releases and the three Led Zeppelin re-issues, Xscape would likely be pushed out of the top 10, so i'm pleasently surprised by this prediction.

Of course this is an early estimate and things may change later, but like you say with the vinyl release fingers crossed he'll manage to stick in the top 10.

Whatever happens though, this album is holding up very well! Go, MJ!

Hey guys, what are we looking like with total sales so far??

Very good news indeed! This is also why it's important to continue to request LNFSD on US radio. Although the song may have reached it's peak there, every radio play helps to promote the album and to keep it in the public eye until the next single is released.

Things seem to be easing off a bit in relation to sales, streaming and overall chart positions for the King of Pop this week.

As usual, the Billboard charts and worldwide streaming statistics are where I begin my analysis. In terms of the ‘XSCAPE’ album, it drops four spots to a healthy #7 on the Billboard 200 this week, selling 35,000 copies. That takes it’s overall U.S. sales figures past the quarter-million mark to 259,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan – more than half-way to Gold certification with the RIAA. ‘Number Ones’ drops eleven spots to #44, ‘The Essential’ is down twenty-seven spots to #98, and ‘Thriller’ comes in at #115, twenty-seven spots lower than last week.

The “Love Never Felt So Good” single has taken another giant plunge on the Hot 100, down eleven places this week to #27. Digital and radio heat on the single seems to be wearing off in major markets, while “Billie Jean” (#14 last week) and “Slave to the Rhythm” (#45 last week) have dropped completely out of the top 100 song rankings in the U.S. this week.

In the world of streaming, official Jackson content was viewed more than 6 million times this week via YouTube/VEVO. The official “Love Never Felt So Good” music video took up more than half of those figures with 3.3 million views this past week, while the not-so-Michael Jackson “Slave to the Rhythm” hologram video was watched an additional 2.2 million times. The remaining half-million streams were relatively evenly spread between four other official VEVO versions of “Love Never Felt So Good” – the solo audio, the duet audio featuring Justin Timberlake, the Fedde Le Grand remix and the iHeart Radio Music Awards multimedia clip. “Love Never Felt So Good” has received 34.3 million collective views via YouTube/VEVO since the release of its various versions, with “Slave to the Rhythm” coming in at 15.4 million all up.

After spending twenty-one consecutive days at #1 on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart (between day 2 and day 23) “Love Never Felt So Good” has begun the slow decent back down the global rankings. After being dislodged from the top spot eleven days ago by Pharrell Williams’ positivity anthem “Happy” (which has spent an astonishing 125 of the past 195 days at #1 on iTunes Worldwide), “Love Never Felt So Good” spent ten consecutive days at #2. Today it finds itself at #3 – its lowest position on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart since it debuted there 34 days ago.

Michael Jackson “Xscape” Drops 58% as Coldplay Rocks to Number 1

by Roger Friedman - May 27, 2014 4:42 pm

Michael Jackson’s “Xscape” album dropped 58% in its second week of sales. After moving 161,000 copies in its debut, “Xscape” moved only 68,000 copies in its second week. The new number 1 is “Ghost Stories” by Coldplay with 385,978 copies sold– more than twice what Jackson sold in his first week. Number 2 is country star Brantley Gilbert with 215, 087– again considerably more than Jackson. “Xscape” fell to number 3 on hitsdailydouble, but it’s already plummeted to number 20 on iTunes.

More competition comes next week with Mariah Carey’s well-reviewed “Me. I am Mariah. The Elusive Chanteuse.” Already number 2 on iTunes, “Me. I am Mariah” is a hit out the box with three or four possible singles starting with “You Don’t Know What to Do” featuring Wale.

The album has several more possibilities, and a long life ahead of if played right. After being a year overdue, Carey really pulled it out, as they say, and came home a winner. Even I’m surprised that “Me I am Mariah” is so good. There isn’t a weak track on it. I’ve already raved about her re-working of George Michael’s “One More Try.” But you’ve also got “Thirsty,” “Make it Look Good,” and the opening track, “Cry.” A lot of thought was put into this record. It will be interesting to see how it hits. I think: big time.

<_<

Will Roger make a article about his again and again wrong predictions? I doubt.

BTW midweek-charts UK has Carey on 39 in her second week. Debut was on 13. In USA-charts it seems she is out of Top 15 in second week. Her debut in Germany is 27.

Xscape didn't debute #1 in Mexico... *sad panda*

It was #5 May 12 to May 18.

Me neither. MJJC team, we need your help. The song has had three consecutive decreases during the past 3 days. That's the bad news. The good news is that the decreases have been rather small in total. If 25 or 30 members could take about 10 minutes or so to request the song, perhaps it could change the momentum. Let's do this!!!

We all need to thank this post, so people realise and don't neglect it.

Also, you'll be elated to hear this good news.
UK Chart:

How doe the Ausrralia run compare to 'Michael' so far? If I remember correctly, the last album dropped really quickly in Australia after the debut

The Michael-Album Peak in Australia was 10, and I think the peak was the debut-week.
