Why do so many not like superfly sister?

come on post the lyrics! im sure some are dying to see what they say...

I LOVE the song its something like Michael Letting go and being as sexy and sex drivin as possible.
 
The chorus is great. It also gets better towards the end of the song.

However, my opinion is that the verses drag on for a bit :\

He says "freaky" not "keen". That line came from a 1970s song by Leon Haywood called "I Wanna Do Something Freaky To You".

I've never liked that Song, i don't really like the BODF album aswell apart from a couple of Songs.
 
I love it, like all his songs, but the song is a BIT repetetiv.

I actually think that this song sums up Michael perfectly! Musically anyway, I don't really know lyrically haha

Think about it, you have the really funky beat and the guitar solo, the iconic backing vocal sound, lots of hee-hees and the sort and...I don't know. When I first heard it, I thought that this song is just what a Michael Jackson song should sound like.

Just my opinion ^^^ :)

But anyway, I absolutely love this song! I totally believe that he gained some inspiration from Prince and you know, I think it really suits Michael! It's great that he went all out to be a bit raunchy on this one ;)

But yeah, superb song and definitely in my top 5 of all time favourite Michael songs :yes:

Me too. Gettin jiggy with it, ooh! :lol: But...when the part where he says "You dirrrrdy" comes on, I feel ashamed a lil bit cuz it feels like he's saying that to me:D But what can I do about myself? He is the one who throws my mind in the gutter like no other. The blame is on him!:yes:...:lol:

It's not my favorite Michael Jackson song, but I love the groove to it. I added the song to my ipod after Michael passed away and I have been just jamming to it. It makes me feel good, as all of his songs do! :)
 
I noticed something while listening to this song. It's obviously about Michael's views of sex as being a dirty thing, and probably related to his exposure to it when he was a kid with his brothers. Especially on these lyrics

^ Yepp, I see it the same way.
Not necessarily that he considers sex dirty, more like he doesn't approve of people having sex just for the heck of it, with no feelings involved :)
 
yes um superfly sister was not about michael finding sex dirty but finding that doing it for the one purpose of doing it is something he doesn't really fancy. Something he thinks should happen if you are married. But we all know that MJ was tapped before he was legally wed.

Sex without love is just sex but sex with love is best.

yes i agree, one of my favorites cause of it too ahahaha, but mainly cause his amazing vocals and his creativity in a whole, but he was critizicing the whole sex thing without love, yes thats very right, he had a point
