What are the fundamental beliefs of Jehovahs Witnesses.

Minnie- your points are the same. If this "elder" told you that he would not attend your church because you worship Jesus- maybe it's your definition of worship that made him feel it was idolatry- I don't know- i'm not in his head.

My Bible points are clear though.

so from what i understand, they believe Jesus is God's son, but they don't think he is the SAVIOR and they don't think of mary as VIRGIN mary....FROM WHAT I UNDERSTAND..they actually think she was a little hoochie mama for getting pregnant before marriage. lol..but don't quote me. .. sorry if i repeated anything. i didn't have much time to read all things.

I find those remarks ignorant and totally disrespectful. If you read the scriptures (particularly the gospels, you will find that Mary (with her husband Joseph) had other children AFTER Jesus. She did not remain a virgin. The scriptures refer to Jesus having brothers and at least a couple of sisters.

It sickens me how degrading this society has become. No respect for anything sacred. There's no limit to what some people will say, do, or post to get a laugh or to show how sarcastic they can be.
 
Well Disneydork admitted that she didn't read all the posts, I recon she didn't read the first one either oterwise she would have noticed that we were all having a civil and respectful discussion and not a bash and diss JW one.
 
As far as I know, the JW belief definetaly contains Jesus Christ being their savior... They too believe in the resurrection, they too believe that it is only through Jesus Christ that man can be sure to be saved.

The difference really is in whether or not Jesus is one with God Almighty, or if they are two completely different entities, plus what happens on the so-called judgement day.

addressing your specific understandings:
Jesus is the son of God
Jesus was sent/chosen/anointed to be the ruler of god's kingdom on earth ... he was called upon to pay the same price that Adam had paid.
Adam was a perfect human, until he disobeyed. The price for his disobedience(sin) was mortality(death). In order that the sins of Adam's children(mankind) be atoned for, it would require another perfect humans' mortality(death). Adam died leaving us with a great big bill(imperfection/mortality/sin) ... Jesus died leaving us a bountiful inheritance. Which frees us from the enormous debt that Adam burdened us with. While at the same time leaving enough left over to, still provide for us to live on eternally.
Jesus will be sent again to rule the kingdom of God on Earth.
