I can see why he didn't release abortion papers, would have been way too controversial, it almost sounds like it's coming from a religious angle, and i'm not really religious, so i don't really agree with the message here, and i'm a huge fan, let alone what the general public would think. Seems like an awesome track instrumentally, but the lyrics, hmmmmmmmm

This is so great! I just love these news songs!

I have to say DBMA is the weakest of the new songs. I guess the strategy was like with Thriller and the original Bad album - to release the weakest songs as the first single to kind of get them out of the way and to surprise with the rest of the album.

I agree that DBMA is the weakest from Bad 25 and that The Girl Is Mine was the weakest from Thriller, but I don't agree that IJCSLY was the weakest from Bad.

I have to say it would be disappointing if Michael took a stance *against* abortion in that song. He might've been religious but he was so openminded about everything...

This could well be a pretty controversial song, maybe thats why the estate chose to put in on there, for some hype, not sure i'd have risked it, unless there is a verse providing a counter argument, i would hate for this song to ripped to shreds by reviewers, because all they'll do is exaggerate it and come up a new label for MJ the 'religious nut' :/ (note those arn't my views on religion), i remain respectful of others views and love a good debate, but i just know where this could be going if the rest of the song is like this or worse in terms of lyrical controversy, hopefully i'm just over reacting though and it'l be fine :)

I can't really tell if he's personally taking a stance against abortion or if he was trying to represent the internal conflict that the girl in the song might have been going through while trying to make her decision. We'll get a better idea once the song is heard in full.

But I don't think Michael should get beaten up too much about this song anyway. He ultimately decided not to include the song on the album. He also had many many life altering events since that song was written so his perceptions about the world and religious doctrine could have changed or mellowed out in his later years.

I'm not religious and I'm not anti-abortion (though this is a very complex matter) but I am not surprised if Michael took a stance against abortion. Part of it may be because of religious reasons, but part of it is because he loved children so much. (Not saying that whoever chooses abortion doesn't love children.) There are different views on it and it's still a difficult and controversial subject. As far as I'm concerned Michael is entitled to his opinion, even if it's not the same opinion as mine.

I wouldn't be surprised at all, coming from Michael :)
But people have to understand that you don't have to be religious at all to be against abortion.

I like Abortion Papers ;) It's a great but a bit controversial song but... Nothing can beat Al Capone!!!!! :D

I dont know why but parts of "Song Groove/abortion papers" reminds me of "just good friends". Especially the beat when he starts to sing the chorus.

hahaha i must be the only one to think this :D
