We want the L.A. 1989 concert on BLURAY campaign!!!

Of course it can be done. I'd be all for it, except we aren't getting any 3 disc blu-ray or whatever, we're getting the DVD, not the best but it'll still let us watch the man we all adore.
 
Btw If you freeze frame it at 0:00 seconds you will see that they are using two diffrent 88/89 concert in this montage. in 0:00 He is not wearing an V-Neck Tshirt so thats probably not from LA 89. :)
 
I understand everyone's point now, they want to see it in lifelike quality. The way I see it is that Wembley is supposed to be his best show and Sony probably saw that it is what people wanted most. Guess they realized that quality isn't what mattered most. If they release any MJ blu-rays I'll buy them for sure cause TII is fantastic.
 
Guys, come on. Really. Let's say that they release the L.A. concert rather than the Wembley one. Then another fan will go, "Hey, we should get the concert in Missouri!" Then a petition will start for THAT concert. We begged the Estate for the concert, and we got it. We got the one that is acclaimed the MOST.

Can't we just be happy for what we're getting rather than want more?
 
Wembley should have been a bonus disc to an HD Blu Ray release of the Bad Tour. You don't release VHS quality as the main entree. If they had done this, people would really have been okay with this whole thing. Sony can do more. We have to pressure them to do more or we will never get anything better. Never! Not at least for another 25 years for Bad50 hell we'll be to old and blind to even tell the difference!!
 
Truth be told, I know for a fact that if they announced this as Bad Tour LA 89 Blu-Ray, than everyone wouldve got pissed it wasn't Wembley. I think the main factor in choice had to do with demand and audio quality. Everyone says this is supposed to be the best show he ever did so Im happy with a lower quality if it is the definitive MJ performance. This is what the fans asked for.

It really wasn't leaked. It was showed in japaniese TV in 80's I think.
 
Wembley is set to release, no need to build up false hype for another show. Lets just enjoy this
 
I think the thread title shoud be changet to "We want Bad Tour on BLU-RAY" without naming any city
so people can understand what is alllll this greediness about.

I agree. I think we all want the Blu-Ray and I can see why, it's just I can't see it unless the estate find the original film for Wembley. (If it does exist)

It's probably from one of the other nights at LA.
 
we want The Jacksons Tour on Bluray!
Check the one DVD, the triumph tour is in AMAZING quality and the snippets from L.A 84 in the Jacksons Dynasty. MJ has a clear voice in those eras.

Truth be told, a little transparency wouldn't hurt... would it?

"We're releasing the concert in LA as it is the highest quality video recording of the tour that we currently have in our possession. It was also a historical moment in Michael's career, as it was the last show of his first solo world tour. Michael himself considered an official release of this particular performance for many years. As a bonus, we are releasing a CD showcasing the audio from the sound truck recordings of the July 16th 1988 Wembley performance. The first-ever live Michael Jackson CD to be released, this is the only
concert from the BAD Tour known to exist on multitracks. This high quality recording was made on Michael's personal request. We are currently working on obtaining master tapes of all of Michael's live performances for any possible future release."
 
victory tour wont be easy, think. all the brothers are on different labels.
so sony would have to divide the money with others.
 
Let's get wembley straight first before we go to another concert. Be patient

The problem is that we are trying to tell the Estate which one of Michael's performances was the best... but we haven't even seen them! lol I hope they can choose a great performance and release it on blu-ray. The Wembley DVD would still be an amazing bonus with the CD. Anyway we know that they don't usually release blu-rays with a CD packaging, because not everybody has a blu-ray player. So just because they're already releasing one of the shows on DVD, it shouldn't stop them to also release a great blu-ray boxset. I'd be more than happy to buy both!

It doesn't need to be Wembley, any 2nd leg concert in Blu-Ray would be awesome!
 
I bet some would get mad if LA was released instead because he didnt perform Dirty Diana. Lol, bet there would be another petition something like, '' WE Want A Bad Tour With Dirty Diana In Blu-Ray! ''

I really want to see LA And kansas city (First Night)!

A little assesment :

When you were a sweet child and you went to granny every Sunday she spoils you with candy because she loves you and thinks you deserve it. You're so grateful every time. But one day you see next to the candy-jar a special kind of candy, which you thought would never exist. If only...

You know what, I will just politely ask granny for that special candy. Would she give it to me...?

Granny is Sony and the estate. And the child is us, the fans..
