Hate to say it but this is a really stupid poll. I actually do know 2 of the 3 artists "above" MJ in poll and they have good music but can anyone within their sanity intact, actually compare MJ's "popularity" with someone else?

These people may need their head examined. The only people who say Elvis is the most famous or Beatles are the most famous in the world are those idiots who have never travelled outside the state of Tennessee (for Elvis) or outside US and Europe (for Beatles). Now these other artists are from Middle East and elsewhere and many people have not heard of them in US because they dont have any exposure. To make a case for them against MJ is even harder than elvis or beatles case.

This is one field where MJ will CRUSH and I mean CRUSH any celebrity on the planet! With the possible exception of Madonna no one even comes close as far as popularity is concerned.

Again, unless I misread something at the poll... a silly reason to vote but I still did :)

Perhaps it's a Middle Eastern site? Because that would explain why the list is dominated by Arabic artists. Michael and Elvis are the only one's I know.

I'm suprised Madonna isn't on there. She's pretty much the most famous female musician worlwide. She should be there.
