UPDATE - page 1/13/14 - TV Alert: True Crime with Aphrodite Jones - Tune In (All threads Merged!)

Re: TV Alert: True Crime with Aphrodite Jones - Tune In: Thursday, April 29 (All threads Merged!)

Oh and this on that other tv show did they even mention Debbie? Oh and if you were Michael's lover right up until he died have the cops talked to you? Did you know Conrad Murray? Were you going to see TII? Ever go see Michael in Vegas? Did the bodyguards know you? Of course not fat boy now go sit down

and that doctor Kleenex (Klein) supporting this guy!!! what's that???
He waste no single chance to trash MJ and get some more money.

Re: TV Alert: True Crime with Aphrodite Jones - Tune In: Thursday, April 29 (All threads Merged!)

Yeah he was. Klein IMO resented Michael big time and was talking about Michael behind his back for years. And now that Michael is gone he can say it in public. Let him this is going to do nothing but kill his career even more

Aphrodite Jones defends Michael Jackson and blames King of Pop foes for his death

Aphrodite Jones defends Michael Jackson and blames his detractors for his death.

Aphrodite Jones' "investigative report" on the late Michael Jackson turns out to be the admiring, near-reverential portrait Jackson once hoped to get from Martin Bashir.

Bashir is the British journalist Jackson let into his life after the pop star was buffeted by child-abuse allegations in the 1990s.

The tacit understanding was that Bashir would use his unprecedented access to show the world Michael was a kind person who loved children and would never harm them.

Instead, Bashir famously decided during the filming that there really was something troubling about Jackson's relationship with kids, and his 2003 TV documentary fed the tabloid fire, rather than quenching it.

Jones, who covered Jackson's 2005 child-molestation trial for Fox News, says Thursday that she was also among those who believed Jackson was guilty.

Not anymore.

Jones uses this hour to rip Bashir and everyone else who ever insinuated that Jackson's interest in children was anything other than loving and healthy.

Nor does she stop with simply defending Jackson's reputation. She charges that Bashir, the prosecution and the media in general might as well have put a gun to Jackson's head because she plants his death in June 2009 squarely at their feet.

Specifically, she and several of her interview subjects say, the cloud from these allegations was the main reason Jackson had trouble sleeping, which is what started him on the cycle of pills that eventually killed him.

While Thursday's show isn't entirely linear, it generally starts in the early '90s, when Jackson faced his first charges of child abuse.

He eventually paid a settlement to the family of that accuser, explaining that he just wanted to avoid an O.J. Simpson-style trial. Jones strongly suggests that cash was all his accuser's family wanted from him anyway.

The Jackson family didn't participate in Thursday's show and, as it turns out, didn't have to, since Michael and his memory get unconditional love and an aggressive defense from people like his manager, Frank DiLeo, and his lawyer, Tom Mesereau.

Mesereau even takes the hit for the infamous morning when Jackson came to court wearing pajama bottoms. Mesereau explains that Jackson was sick that day, but that the judge was so angry, Mesereau advised his client to get to court anyhow - and with only 45 minutes to do so, he had no time to change.

Why someone in Jackson's position couldn't arrange to rendezvous with a pair of pants may seem a mild puzzle. No petty detail like that, however, derails or slows Jones, whose show may have started as an investigation but ends up as a love letter.

this is the new york daily news, not really supporting Michael. it makes fun of Jones, calling her defense of him, a 'love letter'. and Bashir as doing something 'famously' against Michael, while Michael's appearance in court in pajamas is deemed as 'infamous'. sure, it's hard for the nydn to cover how positive Jones is, but, they do a hell of a job, trying. naysayers will say that defending MJ was a biased thing, rather than an objective thing, if they read the nydn article here. but tabloids express opinions, rather than do objective journalism and the nydn is a tabloid. i guess TMez still defending MJ, post June 25 is a love letter, too.

and, when the new york daily news 'reporter' said MJ should have been 'in a position' to get a pair of pants for the court appearance.. i'm sure this 'journalist' was one of the ones who said MJ was broke, around that time, so, what position is this journalist talking about?

and once again, the 'journalist' lists a 'cycle of pills' as having killed MJ, instead of propofol. another bold face lie by a 'journalist' who wants to continue the lie of calling MJ a drug addict.

yep, that's how rediculous MJ's naysayers have always, and, without ceasing, continue to always sound.

yes, not only did media types, like this nydn guy help to murder Michael..but they continue to murder him, now. day, after day. over and over. they 'act' like they don't realize how many of them there are, and how powerful they are, behind a microphone. and, how deadly, words, alone, can really be. just think of the countless teenagers who have committed suicide, due to verbal bullying in schools. now, magnify that, and multiply that, by the the fact, that in MJ's case, it was, and is the MEDIA. MAINSTREAM.

Cus we see how much a block someone like oprah has on most of the american media seeing as how they declined to have that kitty kelley woman just cause they didn't want to "offend" or cus they have too much "respect" for her.... But no it's ok to do that to MJ.......

Wow, this NY Daily News article is very disappointing. I was feeling so good about this show. And then to read something like this. It just kills all hope. I'm sorry Michael that even now they won't leave you alone.

This was gut-wrenching, yet excellent.

Big thanks to Aphrodite Jones and T-Mez, they actually succeeded in getting this on tv. Perhaps there is some hope after all, for some truth to get out there?

Did anyone else give the finger and curse at their screens when certain people were shown? I did.

Michael. What did they do to you? You never deserved all this.

A quite good doc, but I´d expect far more factual documentary especially because of Aphrodite Jones.
I do think it was a bit one-sided with missing evidence and presented facts, because everything in the doc we have known..., I expected something really new..., I was surprised that T_mez didnt mention the insurance company settlement as the reason why MJ settled the 1993 case, but OK...

Hmm, I was a little disappointed actually. It didnt really tell anybody anything new or anything that even the media didnt already know. And I thought there was a few points that were left out that really should have been added. Yes it did come across a little one sided. BTW Pearl Jr on this doco believes in the hoax ;)

But Im glad there was a positive doco about MJ and it was put together nicely. Perhaps Jones had a more to say in the 2hr version she wanted to air.

But it does show that most ppl that entered MJs life had an agenda. They tried to get him in 93, they tried to get him in 05 and they finally got him in 09.
