Tiger Woods in serious car accident

I love to see how once again the media can batter a great out of what they do and it just shows how much they love a downfall.

I wish he didn't quit I would have loved for him to stayed there, yeah I am kinda over this. And wish the media would be too, how many woman Tiger f-ed isn't really the thing that I didn't give a crap about anymore. I hope that they move on. And looks like Nancy Disgrace, found a new case to report on for a long time. As if she and the talking heads give a crap about Tiger's children and wife. (who I feel sorry for too.)

And I do hate how the women who did do this, wouldn't have never came out before are now coming out with the smell of $$$$. I hate how the media's making them out like heroes. They are just as guilty.

Seems more like the culture enjoys tearing people down hard after the build them up.

Okay, I'll try to shut up about this topic. :)

The difference between Michael and 'Cheetah' is that Michael never denied that he was black. He's gone on record many times declaring his African-American heritage. Cheetah has done the opposite.

Sure there are some bad apples in the Black community who spoke negatively against Mike, but when you look at those Black individuals, you'll see they themselves are two-faced like our pile Cheetah. Gail Kim comes to mind. hmmm
Exactly. And even look. Now that this mess has come out on Tiger, ever all other races are calling him BLACK. Yes, I hate what Tiger is going through but do not call him black now and ask blacks what we think and expect blacks to be more loyal to him than anyone else (again, I do not see no one asking asians about tiger or what the asian community thinks).

And I agree with you there. I'm a Black woman and I can give less of darn who Tiger dates cause it ain't none of my buissness. Some people are just too racist sometimes.

And that Johnson woman is a friken racist, she's probably one of the types of black folks who think MJ bleached his skin and hates his race. And I hated that comment she said about Obama (you should vote for a president not because of who he's dating, but because of what he can do for America). :mat: I hate it when news people interview people like this.

If I am out of line, let me know and I will soften it up.
Sorry but blacks can not be racist. Blacks can be prejudice but not racist. In order tobe racist one race must have power to controll. Blacks do not have that power (and no Obama does not eliminate racism).

Tiger's troubles widen his distance from blacks

By JESSE WASHINGTON, AP National Writer Jesse Washington, Ap National Writer – Sat Dec 5, 11:05 pm ET

Amid all the headlines generated by Tiger Woods' troubles — the puzzling car accident, the suggestions of marital turmoil and multiple mistresses — little attention has been given to the race of the women linked with the world's greatest golfer.

Except in the black community.

When three white women were said to be romantically involved with Woods in addition to his blonde, Swedish wife, blogs, airwaves and barbershops started humming, and Woods' already tenuous standing among many blacks took a beating.

On the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner radio show, Woods was the butt of jokes all week.

"Thankfully, Tiger, you didn't marry a black woman. Because if a sister caught you running around with a bunch of white hoochie-mamas," one parody suggests in song, she would have castrated him.

"The Grinch's Theme Song" didn't stop there: "The question everyone in America wants to ask you is, how many white women does one brother waaant?"

As one blogger, Robert Paul Reyes, wrote: "If Tiger Woods had cheated on his gorgeous white wife with black women, the golfing great's accident would have been barely a blip in the blogosphere."

The darts reflect blacks' resistance to interracial romance. They also are a reflection of discomfort with a man who has smashed barriers in one of America's whitest sports and assumed the mantle of the world's most famous athlete, once worn by Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan.

But Woods has declined to identify himself as black, and famously chose the term "Cablinasian" (Caucasian, black, Indian and Asian) to describe the racial mixture he inherited from his African-American father and Thai mother.

This vexed some blacks, but it hasn't stopped them from claiming Woods as one of their own. Or from disapproving of his marriage to Elin Nordegren, despite blacks' historical fight against white racist opponents of mixed marriage.

On the one hand, Ebonie Johnson Cooper doesn't care that Tiger Woods' wife and alleged mistresses are white because Woods is "quote-unquote not really black."

"But at the same time we still see him as a black man with a white woman, and it makes a difference," said Johnson Cooper, a 26-year-old African-American from New York City. "There's just this preservation thing we have among one another. We like to see each other with each other."

Black women have long felt slighted by the tendency of famous black men to pair with white women, and many have a list of current transgressors at the ready.

"We've discussed this for years among black women," said Denene Millner, author of several books on black relationships. "Why is it when they get to this level ... they tend to go directly for the nearest blonde?"

This tendency may be more prominent due to a relative lack of interracial marriages among average blacks. Although a recent Pew poll showed that 94 percent of blacks say it's all right for blacks and whites to date, a study published this year in Sociological Quarterly showed that blacks are less likely to actually date outside their race than are other groups.

"There is a call for loyalty that is stronger in some ways than in other racial communities," said the author of the study, George Yancey, a sociology professor at the University of North Texas and author of the book "Just Don't Marry One."

The color of one's companion has long been a major measure of "blackness" — which is a big reason why the biracial Barack Obama was able to fend off early questions about his black authenticity.

"Had Barack had a white wife, I would have thought twice about voting for him," Johnson Cooper said.

So do Woods' women say something about the intensely private golfer's views on race?

"I would like to say no, but I think it garners a bit of a yes," Johnson Cooper said.

Carmen Van Kerckhove, founder of the race-meets-pop-culture blog Racialicious, said there have been frequent discussions on her site about the fine line between preference and fetish.

"Is there any difference between a white guy with a thing for blondes, and a non-white guy with a thing for blondes?" asked Van Kerckhove, who has a Chinese mother, a Belgian father and a husband born in America to parents from Benin.

She claims that Asians don't fully embrace Woods, either.

"There are two layers of suspicion toward him," Van Kerkhove said. "One toward the apparent pattern in the race of his partners, and the second in the way he sees himself. ... People have been giving him the side-eye for a while."

There's nothing wrong with wanting a mate who shares your culture, as long as it's for the right reasons, the comedienne Sheryl Underwood said after unleashing a withering Woods monologue on Tom Joyner's radio show.

"Would we question when a Jewish person wants to marry other Jewish people?" she said in an interview. "It's not racist. It's not bigotry. It's cultural pride."

"The issue comes in when you choose something white because you think it's better," Underwood said. "And then you never date a black woman or a woman of color or you never sample the greatness of the international buffet of human beings. If you never do that, we got a problem."

Sorry buit this is true. heck I knew some blacks who thought like this. Like it or not, race matters and it is still an issue. And people can try an be "politically correct" but trust me, when everyone goes home or be in their confront zone, the race issues come out.

ugh...I am so over this all ready....I think that these people need to work this out themselves and the media needs to stay out of their business now....enough crap has been said IMHO....I feel bad for the wife and kid..:(

u know, the black community in media ain't helpin themselves much. this is reminiscent of how they treated Michael. and now, all of a sudden, they are doing tributes to him now that he is dead..suddenly claiming him as..'our icon', on BET. BET are hypocrites. as a black person, i don't need to see a repeat of this hypocrisy.
Sorry but tiger is not in the same boat as MJ. Again, I do not see any of you talking about what the Asian community thinks of Tiger.

Okay, I can't stop talking about this. This is Just a topic I like talking about. A high profile news story.

I think when all of this hoopla is over, the media will forget all of this and Tiger will pull a Kobe and make a comeback in sports all over again. Just wait a few years and the media will be like Tiger did what?

So true to a point. But for now, he is the punching boy of the media. And you know the media will always put at the bottom of an article "Tiger is back on top but back in 2009, he cheated on his wife." he will forever be labeled a wh*re just like Chris Brown will forever be labeled a "abuser" and Vick a "dog killer" because these things were proven to be true about them. But he will be back and do just fine he just wont be looked at as "clean" and "wholesome" no more.

there was, at least, division. i heard black radio stations, where they were joking about MJ. and i hear people in the black community who said he bleached his skin..and i heard people who had a problem with him being married to Lisa Marie Presley, because of skin color. and MJ's album sales were never 'hurt.'. for every fan that felt like turning away, there were ten thousand who took that fan's place, no matter what color they were.

what gets to me, is when a person conveniently considers an artist or athelete to be black when things are such that they feel like supporting the artist, but if they do something that one feels they can't support, then suddenly, they're no longer black? what is that?

race shouldn't be an issue, but the principle behind those attitudes, is what is disturbing.

the bottom line is, that a person can be a mixture of every race around the world, and there are those people will claim that person, when it's convienient, and not claim them, when it is not convenient, even if there was nothing to claim, in the first place. that is sad.
Wrong, I do not see no one holding Asians to speak about Tiger. Right now, including you, seem to want to hold blacks to be loyal to Tiger. WRONG. Tiger did not want to be called Black and many blacks do not care of him. Even as he is going through this, OTHER RACES (who is is mixed with as well) is calling him BLACK even the girls he slept with. I think what you are seeing now is Tiger did not claim black before this so do NOT claim being black now and no one should expect blacks to be loyal to Tiger no more than anyone expect Asians. If someone was claiming black before trouble, they will be called blacks afterwards so I do not get that comment you made. Now,you came across as a "sell out" when you were on top, many blacks will cut you off when you fall from grace. Blacks are often used by their own and sorry but some think "white is right" until they "fall from grace". This is an issue that is black on black discussed in many outlets and homes.

WRONG, that is not true what you are saying about BET. Yes, many blacks had a problem with choices Michael made in terms of race however, blacks ALWAYS uphold MIchael (even during his trial most blacks thought he was innocenct when many whites thought he was guilty even MJ knew this). And when Emienm did that crap video mocking MJ, it was BET and black audiences who stood by Michael, NOT VH1 or MTV.

I know what you mean. I am so sick of hearing about that, and the White House party crashers. I live in that area, and they are still talking about how Secret Service let them pass. BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!

But I will say, if one is a high profile person, and in the spotlight, it's really stupid to have an affair. You are more than likely to get caught by the photo hounds, and they will talk about it a lot and won't shut up. The average Joe won't have it all over the news. I feel sorry for his wife and kids too. They will suffer the most.

Enough about this story!!! PUKE!!!

Take care, Thunder and see you in the other thead!!!

I think its so ridiculous he had to do that. Its his private life, what does he need to apologise to us for?! His wife and their family are the only people who need an apology. We didn't even need the constant reports about it in the first place.

i know! he didnt have to apologise to us about that stuff. the media really went overboard with the reports. i dont give a damn about the private lives of sports people, or anyone famous for that matter.

Tiger Woods, Wife Officially Divorced

a75591ea.jpg

Divorced. Single dad. Golf game still to be determined. And so, after nine months of turmoil over his extramarital affairs, now begins the next chapter in the life and times of Tiger Woods. In a hearing that lasted no more than 10 minutes in a Florida judge's chambers, Woods and his Swedish-born wife officially divorced Monday.

"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future," Woods and Elin Nordegren said in a joint statement released by their lawyers.

The divorce was granted shortly after 2 p.m. in Bay County Circuit Court in Panama City, Fla., about 375 miles from their Isleworth home outside Orlando, where Woods drove his SUV over a fire hydrant and into a tree on Thanksgiving night. That set off shocking revelations that sports' biggest star had been cheating on his wife through multiple affairs.

Woods' life and golf game have been in disarray ever since.

He and Nordegren were married Oct. 5, 2004, in Barbados and have a 3-year-old daughter, Sam, and an 18-month-old son, Charlie.

Terms of the divorce — such as how much it will cost Woods — were not disclosed. They said only that they will "share parenting" of their two children.

Nordegren, who for years tried to stay in the background, was captured on video by celebrity websites eating lunch or picking up her daughter from school.

"We love Elin, and we are so proud of the grace and strength she has shown during this difficult time," her father, Thomas Nordegren, a talk show host at national broadcaster Swedish Radio, told The Associated Press. "We know that she will come out of this even stronger and has a bright future in front of her."

The divorce was finalized by Bay County Circuit Judge Judy Pittman Biebel during a 10-minute hearing in a conference room in her chambers, according to Biebel's judicial assistant, Kim Gibson. Woods and Nordegren were present, along with their lawyers, Gibson said.

"I don't comment on active cases," Thomas J. Sasser, Woods' divorce attorney, said. Asked why they chose to file in Panama City, Sasser said it was a joint decision by the lawyers.

Nordegren's attorneys — including her twin sister, London-based Josefin Lonnborg — referred all questions to the statement.

Woods' agent, Mark Steinberg, declined to comment when asked if the couple had a prenuptial agreement or terms of the settlement. "We're not commenting beyond what was in the release," he said.

Nordegren's mother, Barbro Holmberg, also declined to comment.

Nordegren, who once worked as a nanny for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik, asked to have her maiden name restored as Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren.

The sordid sex scandal cost Woods three major corporate sponsors — Accenture, AT&T and Gatorade — worth millions of dollars, and he lost his stature the gold standard in sports endorsements. A month after the scandal became public, Woods spent two months in therapy at a Mississippi clinic with hopes of saving his marriage.

"While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us," they said in the statement. "The weeks and months ahead will not be easy for them as we adjust to a new family situation, which is why our privacy must be a principal concern."

Some of the court documents indicated that Woods had to focus on his marital woes as well as his golf this summer.

He completed a four-hour course on "Parent Education and Family Stabilization" on July 10, the day before he left to play the British Open. He had won the previous two times at St. Andrews by a combined 13 shots, but this time finished 13 shots behind in a tie for 23rd.

The couple signed a marital settlement agreement on July 3 and July 4, the weekend of the AT&T National outside Philadelphia, where Woods failed to break par in a PGA Tour event for the first time in 11 years.

Nordegren completed her four-hour program through FloridaParentingClass.com on Aug. 16, the day after Woods tied for 28th in the PGA Championship at Whistling Straits. It was the first time in nearly seven years he had finished out of the top 20 in consecutive majors.

Documents also show that the children lived at their primary home at Isleworth until November 2009 — the Woods car crash was Nov. 27 — and that Nordegren had moved out to a nearby residence since then.

Woods is to play this week at The Barclays, his first tournament as a single man in nearly six years. He needs a good performance just to get out of the first round of the FedEx Cup playoffs, which he won the previous two times he played, and he also is trying to show he is worth picking for the Ryder Cup, where wives take on a visible role.

Since returning to golf at the Masters, Woods has not come close to winning a tournament. He tied for fourth in the Masters and in the U.S. Open, both times taking himself out of contention early in the final round.

One example of how the impending divorce has affected him came last month when he played in a charity pro-am in Ireland, which ended on Tuesday. Instead of staying overseas to practice on links courses, Woods flew home to Florida for six days to see his children and then returned to Scotland for the British Open.

Woods has won 82 times worldwide — 36 times and six majors while married — in his professional career. His last victory came at the Australian Masters on Nov. 15, his last trip before his serial infidelity was uncovered.

divorce number 1,999,999,999,999,999,999,999 in this world. at least. by the way, everybody in the media that's attacking him, is really bringing up the fact that she's a blonde. they keep saying how he humiliated that beautiful blonde woman. why couldn't they just say how he hurt his wife? i guess race does make a difference, seeing that some other athletes around Tiger's stature are cheating on wives who are not blonde, and we're not hearing about it. american football, turned nbc media sports host, tiki barber is one example. he cheated on his brunette Asian wife, who was pregnant. sure..anybody of any race can turn their hair blonde, but let's not pretend like we don't know what the media means when they say 'blonde woman'. it's a convenient term, and a shoe in that the media would use it. and no surprise. if the media says 'beautiful blonde woman' and you haven't seen her before, then more than ninety nine percent of the time, you can bet you'll know what race that woman is, when you finally see her. otherwise they'll say 'blonde Asian woman'. then again, judging from the tiki barber situation..she wouldn't have been brought up at all.

Never liked this marriage from the get-go. Hope Elin got a major chunk of his fortune.

That's an intentionally exaggerated number, right? 'Cause otherwise I just wanna point out that there are only like 7 billion people in the world at the same time lol.
