Tiger Woods in serious car accident

This affair in my honest opinion should be just a family thing to handle. I can't believe how nosy the media is on that. It's nothing newsworthy IMHO. And Nancy Grace is so friken nosy she has talking heads and stuff talking about this. Nancy Grace, It is not any of your damn business.

Ok all that matters is he's ok. Tiger is a good guy, but like everyone else he is human. So he made a mistake and he and his wife and family will handle it. He's not perfect. The whole affair issue is a private matter that should be kept private. It's no one's business but theirs.

The media and gossip hounds just need to let them be so they can deal with the issue as a family.

Oh yeah, he's a good guy. He sleeps around but that's ok. Where's the media witch hunt? If he'd be Michael it would be bashed to death. If you can't keep it in your pants don't get married and have babies.

Look, I for one DO NOT condone or excuse his behavior. I NEVER said it was ok. Don't twist what I said. I was stating the truth. Tiger Woods is a good guy who happened to do a stupid and hurtful thing to HIS WIFE. Not the media. Not the fans. It was his wife. And his family. Thus it should be a FAMILY issue and be handled privately. The media is making a stink about this when they have no business to pry at ALL!

And I understand the frustration about the bias against Michael in the media, but this thread is NOT about Michael. I will not get off topic.

Tiger Woods is a good guy who's done a lot of good for charities, is amazing at the sport he plays, etc. and he happens to be human. Again, I am not excusing him, he did what he did and should face the consequences of his actions. However it SHOULD NOT be played out in the media. IT IS A PRIVATE matter. End of story. I could careless if he was off shagging someone else. It's not my business nor is it anyone elses. It's his and his family's business. Period. End of story.

I must also remind you and others again that this thread IS NOT about Michael, it's about Tiger Woods. This will not turn into a "Well if this was Michael..." thread. This thread is about Tiger Woods and the current events surrounding him. Stay on topic.

Carry on...

Oh yeah, he's a good guy. He sleeps around but that's ok. Where's the media witch hunt? If he'd be Michael it would be bashed to death. If you can't keep it in your pants don't get married and have babies.

oh boohoo a multimillionaire with a supermodel wife oh the drama
there are people out there who have real problems the media needs to get a clue....and people need to get a life it's not anybody's business what he did in his personal life

So how many mistresses has he got now? I've lost count. Seriously, does the press have nothing better to report. Leave Tiger to deal with it in private. I cant exactly condone his behaviour but its none of our buisness.

Tiger's troubles widen his distance from blacks

By JESSE WASHINGTON, AP National Writer Jesse Washington, Ap National Writer – Sat Dec 5, 11:05 pm ET

Amid all the headlines generated by Tiger Woods' troubles — the puzzling car accident, the suggestions of marital turmoil and multiple mistresses — little attention has been given to the race of the women linked with the world's greatest golfer.

Except in the black community.

When three white women were said to be romantically involved with Woods in addition to his blonde, Swedish wife, blogs, airwaves and barbershops started humming, and Woods' already tenuous standing among many blacks took a beating.

On the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner radio show, Woods was the butt of jokes all week.

"Thankfully, Tiger, you didn't marry a black woman. Because if a sister caught you running around with a bunch of white hoochie-mamas," one parody suggests in song, she would have castrated him.

"The Grinch's Theme Song" didn't stop there: "The question everyone in America wants to ask you is, how many white women does one brother waaant?"

As one blogger, Robert Paul Reyes, wrote: "If Tiger Woods had cheated on his gorgeous white wife with black women, the golfing great's accident would have been barely a blip in the blogosphere."

The darts reflect blacks' resistance to interracial romance. They also are a reflection of discomfort with a man who has smashed barriers in one of America's whitest sports and assumed the mantle of the world's most famous athlete, once worn by Muhammad Ali and Michael Jordan.

But Woods has declined to identify himself as black, and famously chose the term "Cablinasian" (Caucasian, black, Indian and Asian) to describe the racial mixture he inherited from his African-American father and Thai mother.

This vexed some blacks, but it hasn't stopped them from claiming Woods as one of their own. Or from disapproving of his marriage to Elin Nordegren, despite blacks' historical fight against white racist opponents of mixed marriage.

On the one hand, Ebonie Johnson Cooper doesn't care that Tiger Woods' wife and alleged mistresses are white because Woods is "quote-unquote not really black."

"But at the same time we still see him as a black man with a white woman, and it makes a difference," said Johnson Cooper, a 26-year-old African-American from New York City. "There's just this preservation thing we have among one another. We like to see each other with each other."

Black women have long felt slighted by the tendency of famous black men to pair with white women, and many have a list of current transgressors at the ready.

"We've discussed this for years among black women," said Denene Millner, author of several books on black relationships. "Why is it when they get to this level ... they tend to go directly for the nearest blonde?"

This tendency may be more prominent due to a relative lack of interracial marriages among average blacks. Although a recent Pew poll showed that 94 percent of blacks say it's all right for blacks and whites to date, a study published this year in Sociological Quarterly showed that blacks are less likely to actually date outside their race than are other groups.

"There is a call for loyalty that is stronger in some ways than in other racial communities," said the author of the study, George Yancey, a sociology professor at the University of North Texas and author of the book "Just Don't Marry One."

The color of one's companion has long been a major measure of "blackness" — which is a big reason why the biracial Barack Obama was able to fend off early questions about his black authenticity.

"Had Barack had a white wife, I would have thought twice about voting for him," Johnson Cooper said.

So do Woods' women say something about the intensely private golfer's views on race?

"I would like to say no, but I think it garners a bit of a yes," Johnson Cooper said.

Carmen Van Kerckhove, founder of the race-meets-pop-culture blog Racialicious, said there have been frequent discussions on her site about the fine line between preference and fetish.

"Is there any difference between a white guy with a thing for blondes, and a non-white guy with a thing for blondes?" asked Van Kerckhove, who has a Chinese mother, a Belgian father and a husband born in America to parents from Benin.

She claims that Asians don't fully embrace Woods, either.

"There are two layers of suspicion toward him," Van Kerkhove said. "One toward the apparent pattern in the race of his partners, and the second in the way he sees himself. ... People have been giving him the side-eye for a while."

There's nothing wrong with wanting a mate who shares your culture, as long as it's for the right reasons, the comedienne Sheryl Underwood said after unleashing a withering Woods monologue on Tom Joyner's radio show.

"Would we question when a Jewish person wants to marry other Jewish people?" she said in an interview. "It's not racist. It's not bigotry. It's cultural pride."

"The issue comes in when you choose something white because you think it's better," Underwood said. "And then you never date a black woman or a woman of color or you never sample the greatness of the international buffet of human beings. If you never do that, we got a problem."

And THIS is why, in my opinion, prejudice still exists.

And THIS is why, in my opinion, prejudice still exists.

And I agree with you there. I'm a Black woman and I can give less of darn who Tiger dates cause it ain't none of my buissness. Some people are just too racist sometimes.

And that Johnson woman is a friken racist, she's probably one of the types of black folks who think MJ bleached his skin and hates his race. And I hated that comment she said about Obama (you should vote for a president not because of who he's dating, but because of what he can do for America). :mat: I hate it when news people interview people like this.

If I am out of line, let me know and I will soften it up.

u know, the black community in media ain't helpin themselves much. this is reminiscent of how they treated Michael. and now, all of a sudden, they are doing tributes to him now that he is dead..suddenly claiming him as..'our icon', on BET. BET are hypocrites. as a black person, i don't need to see a repeat of this hypocrisy.

Report: Elin Nordegren Woods has moved out

By Joe Dwinell
Monday, December 7, 2009

Elin Nordegren Woods, the 29-year-old wife of Tiger Woods, has allegedly packed her bags and moved out of the couple’s Orlando-area mansion on the day news broke her cheating husband may have had an affair with up to 10 women, an online site is reporting tonight.

RadarOnline.com is reporting Nordegren left her $2.6 million estate in Windermere, Fla., and is living nearby in another house.

TMZ.com, another Web-only gossip site, is also reporting Nordegren’s mother, Barbro Holmberg, has jetted in from Sweden to be with her daughter. Holmberg is a prominent Swedish politician.

The news of Tiger’s wife bolting their home comes as numerous reports tie the PGA titan to 10 alleged mistresses - including a porn star Holly Sampson.

Woods, 33, admitted on his Web site that his “transgressions” have broken hearts in his home, but he has not appeared in public to address the scandal. He did say he was dropping out of any golf tournaments until next year.

The Herald also reported online today that Florida cops were rebuffed in their appeal to obtain blood tests from the hospital where Woods was taken after his crash Nov. 27 outside his house.

^^ If she divorces him, it's gonna cost his butt a load of money.

And I wonder how many of those multiple mistress are true, because people do come out the woodwork to lie for money sometimes.

I have to agree with you on that. Although Ebony and Jet has been more supportive of MJ since he was a kid with his family.

He made her sign a prenuptial I have heard,,,however..child support will be rather larger being as he has to pay the amount of money it took to take care of the children before ...to keep up the life style they are accustom to...hmm I guess we shall see......I do say good for her anyway....I am glad she left..no woman should be cheated on.

See..I never thought the black community abandoned Michael. I think once MJ style of music changed in the 90s from R&B style to more pop, his audience changed and blacks were more in line with artist who singed generally R&B and hip hop. I think that is what hurt MJ success with HIStory. As a black woman, I am not offended by Tiger's choice of woman. I really don't consider him a black athlete the same way MJ wasn't a "black" artist later in his career although he was in the 80s and with Off the Wall. Its a complicated topic to discuss to say the least though!

there was, at least, division. i heard black radio stations, where they were joking about MJ. and i hear people in the black community who said he bleached his skin..and i heard people who had a problem with him being married to Lisa Marie Presley, because of skin color. and MJ's album sales were never 'hurt.'. for every fan that felt like turning away, there were ten thousand who took that fan's place, no matter what color they were.

what gets to me, is when a person conveniently considers an artist or athelete to be black when things are such that they feel like supporting the artist, but if they do something that one feels they can't support, then suddenly, they're no longer black? what is that?

race shouldn't be an issue, but the principle behind those attitudes, is what is disturbing.

the bottom line is, that a person can be a mixture of every race around the world, and there are those people will claim that person, when it's convienient, and not claim them, when it is not convenient, even if there was nothing to claim, in the first place. that is sad.

are you sure about that. Michael always had black community support.
