Tiger Woods in serious car accident

:bugeyed Hope he's OK, he only just started playing again this year!

serious? how serious? I hope it's not that bad...damn

I was so shocked when I read this on yahoo. If it is alright by the mods I would like to start a good thoughts/prayer thread in the g4.

how did they go from "seriously injured" to "back at home"? you can never trust the media
stuff like this always reminds me of june 25th

I know. Only I wish the media had been exaggerrating that time as well.

It's traumatizing to get "breaking news" like that after what we've expierenced, isn't it?!

Gosh, it scared me to death! Thank God it appears he is ok, I can't go through another BIG loss ( in the media) like that ever again!

for me there won't ever be a bigger loss than Michael, for me he was not "another one" he was the only one

not really no. i have no connection to woods like i did mj. if it had been deadly it would have been tragic and terrible news but it would hardly effect me

In this case, the media took it way out of proportion. Its reported he's doing fine with minor injuries, etc. But you know...because he's Tiger Woods, backing into a fire hydrant at slow speeds while coming out of the drive way, then also hitting a tree, was very "serious".

When I read the news, I was like..oh my goodness.. you know? I imagined he was in a car accident on the freeway or something like that.

Nope.
And thank goodness too. But yeah, the media hyped it up. And that's not right.
But since when has the media done things the right way?

Good on Woods for it not being as serious as they mentioned. He needs to be really careful when coming out of the drive way.

Tiger Woods: Injuries Caused by Wife, Not SUV

Tiger has yet to be formally interviewed by the Florida Highway Patrol -- that should happen this afternoon. But we're told Tiger had a conversation Friday -- with a non-law enforcement type -- detailing what went down before his Escalade hit a fire hydrant.

We're told he said his wife had confronted him about reports that he was seeing another woman. The argument got heated and, according to our source, she scratched his face up. We're told it was then Woods beat a hasty retreat for his SUV -- but according to our source, Woods says his wife followed behind with a golf club. As Tiger drove away, she struck the vehicle several times with the club.

We're told Woods became "distracted," thought the vehicle was stopped, and looked to see what had happened. At that point the SUV hit the fire hydrant and then hit a tree.

We're also told Woods had said during the conversation Friday he had been taking prescription pain medication for an injury, which could explain why he seemed somewhat out of it at the scene

like that even makes sense lol

In Swedish tabloids you could read swedish Elin rescued Tiger Woods.
That`s his wife...

I think there's a lot more to this story than Tiger and his reps are saying......

The whole case is a bit weird. The constant refusal to talk to the police raises cause for concern as that's really odd.

ah this is all garbage. He's alive and well. That's all that matters.
I too read, recently, his wife was there to save him. Not the other way around. This came out of his mouth too. Not some "they told us" source.

Tiger really wants to keep things between him and his wife in terms of whatever it is they're going through, it seems. The media should respect that.

Like I said before, he's alive and well. The rest is their own personal business.

Yes, I agree, Tiger's okay and this seems to be a personal matter between him and his wife. They are sensationalizing this whole thing like it's big or something

And Nancy Grace is speculating like she always does.

him and his wife had fight over something and he crashes the car. he does right not talking to the police as they will leak what he says to tmz b4 the interview has even finished

he already admitted to the affair on his website. it is true that the most imporrtant thing is that he is alright, and the crash wasn't extreme or life threatening.

Ok all that matters is he's ok. Tiger is a good guy, but like everyone else he is human. So he made a mistake and he and his wife and family will handle it. He's not perfect. The whole affair issue is a private matter that should be kept private. It's no one's business but theirs.

The media and gossip hounds just need to let them be so they can deal with the issue as a family.

yeah..people always fight the media on these things, but these things always get out, anyway..i don't know of one athelete that the media hasn't told on if something like this happened...
