Ticket Talk ONLY!!

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

so are they still going on sale friday morning and what is happening on tuesday

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

They will not sell out in 5 minutes. They will sell out seconds after being released.

For big events like this, several tickets are given away to radio shows, reserved for VIP clubs, etc. Then there are tickets set aside for the box office. I'm sure the O2 is going to have tickets sold at their box office. This leaves the remainder to be sold online or via telephone.

I doubt anyone calling in has a chance. There are going to be thousands and thousands of people online trying to buy tickets the moment they go on sale, hitting their refresh page up to the very second the sale goes live. Once this happens, people put in the number of tickets they want and at what price level (the most expensive, the middle, or lowest cost. There is also a 'best available" option). This process takes meres seconds to complete.

To put this in perspective, I tried to get tickets to a hot event one time and was online before tickets went on sale. I had the page up and kept hitting refresh so I would be ready the moment tickets were available. Once the page went live, I put in my request and tickets had already sold out. This was literally in the span of about 30 seconds.

thanks for officially freaking the crap out of us haha.
i know it's gonna be tough for us. mj fans - practise refreshing, typing and clicking furiously to the lead-up of purchasing tickets, then we will be prepared!

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

LOL....everything is just SO confusing.
I already have a headache just by wondering how everything will work out....

Wish it was Wednesday/Friday already and I knew how many tickets I could secure....

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

i'm just fed up thinking about it now, was speaking to elusive and we both said that there are going to be people in the front that michael is going to be playing to who will be a bunch of people who aren't even fans.

This is so badly organized, mike should have said i want so may of my die hard fans near me each night.

fans have been fucked over big time

i feel sick as a dog

Yeah, I'm a bit worried myself. It's a gamble.. that's all there is to it. You'll either get them or you won't.

Just to be prepared, I suggest for all of you to go to the UK Ticketmaster site, then register. It's free. Then, you can put in your billing address and credit card information. Why? Because this shortens the checkout process.

When you log into Ticketmaster for the sale, you'll want to do so early. Hit that refresh page every couple of seconds. As soon as tickets go on sale, choose your price and section (those of you wanting the best seats just leave everything as best available). Once this happens you will enter a security code. If that checks out and there are tickets, Ticketmaster puts these tickets on hold for you so you can type in your contact information. I think it holds the info for around two minutes. If you already have an account with your information saved, this takes mere seconds. Then, you choose how you want your tickets delivered and that's that. The reason I suggested an account is that if you're a slow typer or whatnot, there's a chance the tickets could be released if you don't type in your info fast enough. By creating an account and saving your info, one step is done.

Also, if you don't get tickets right away, it's worth staying on in case someone tried to get tickets but was unsuccessful. The tickets will be released back into the inventory and some lucky person will get them.

But yes, not trying to scare anyone, but the window of opportunity for purchasing these tickets will be seconds.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

good post!
also, it's a good idea to have some one with you to make sure you type everything correctly, just in case you're a little flustered (that's pretty inevitable). they can even read out your credit card number etc. anywho, good luck guys !

No one has received their code yet, but most have received the confirmation mail that they registered for presale. The code is for the wednesday presale tickets at 7am uk time and this will be given to you over the next day or two via your email if you registered. The Friday tickets go on sale to the general public. Just keep signing up for the presale if you haven't received an email confirming your registration.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

NO STANDING - Q&A With AEG.

1) Which 10 nights will Michael play?
The 10 dates have not been fully finalised yet so I can’t confirm those at the moment.

2) Will the tickets to ALL 10 nights be released simultaneously? And if so, will tickets to all nights be available at the pre-sale, or on the general sale on Friday?
This will depend on demand for tickets during the presale. If this is high then all 10 dates will be released during the presale

3) Will the MJ-concerts be sitting only, or will there be standing too?

They are all fully seated

4) How fast do you think the shows will sell out? In your personal opinion.
Extremely fast

how can they not be fully finalised yet? dont believe that. thats ridiculous tickets are on sale on wed. this is a clueless and tbh after learning thome thome works for tom barrack i have an uneasy feeling about the whole thing

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

talking to ticketmaster normally its 6 tickets per person to buy for each show but for this they think it will be 2 only cause of demand. but u will have to check their site and make sure you follow the rules or u could lose all of them. at the end of the day if it comes to it i will pay whatever it takes

neither. a concert, in fact 10 concerts of this magnitude require so much planning. They're probably holding off for releasing the dates for some reason. They HAVE to know.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

So if my aunt books 4 tickets (me and my 3 cousins) will that be counted as for one person because of the one contact information or 4 people?

I'm sorry i've never booked online before.
