Ticket Talk ONLY!!

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

yeah it seems pretty unorganised... i hope mike's team is on the ball.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

OK....
I am so sorry for my stupidity as I've posted about this but I am still confuzzled!

So for US fans, what websites do we need to go to on 7:AM to try and get tickets? Is is MichaelJacksonLive.com, or is it TicketMaster.co.uk, or TickMaster.com???

Timing. I was told tickets would be sold at 7 AM London. SO for Eaastern Standard time it would be 1 AM? is this true?

Whats up with this Wednesday Pre-sale? I'm assuming we are all (hopefully) going to get confirmation codes via e-mail but if not, we can't get the pre-sale tickets. IF we do what website do we go too?

Is there a phone number we call to get tickets?????

Sorry! I am so confused!!!!!

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

ticketmaster sells the tickets via the website and the phone. ppl nend to take a breath and just go on these sites and look for the t.phone numbers etc. same with world times and their differences. theres enough sites on the net that give you times for different countries. unless u get a code from mj.com u dont get presale tickets. unless u are on the 02 network which is for uk ppl only.presale tickets are only upto 15% of all the tickets and they might just be crap seats. u dont get to chose what u want so those who can get presale may just end up waiting till friday anyway

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

but thats ridiculous. there must already exist a seating plan and the dates must be known as well... we cant order tickets without this knowledge. i mean was this tour a spontaneous idea o michael?
of corse its crazy but ive heard with some other artis that this has happend in the past. things dont get announced until the say of the sale. they must know the stage lay out and what it will be they ahve to decide b4 tickets go on sale

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

So nothing will be sold at the o2 itself then (or other physical outlets)? Only online and via phone? I wish we could do things the old-fashioned way!

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I got presale for Britney through Ticketmaster and got seated in the 3rd row so I think presale must be good.I dont think the organisation is bad at all. In my experience it's no different to any other concert. It's quite normal not to see the layout until the tickets go on sale.
Just type in your price range and choose 'best available' when you buy the tickets and trust ticketmaster to give you the best seats they can. If you want standing, specify standing because 'best available' normally gives you seated.

well this kind of organisation isnt common to me. i dont know this. but since im very confused i dont like this system lol
but why typing in the price range? i thought the prices are cheaper for seaating and higher for standing in the floor? so if i specify standing they will manage it itself with the price, dont they? o_O

ugh my computer decided to go funny on me over the weekend, and when it looked like I wouldn't be able to get it fixed in time I felt like I was gonna throw up :mello:
It's sorted now, but it wasn't cheap

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I can tell you right now there's almost zero chance of getting tickets over the phone. Do not take that as gospel, but it takes time to reach the sytem and if tickets aren't on sale, you'll have to start over and if they are... it'll probably be too late to snatch any up.

Your best chance is doing it online (or getting there VERY early.. probably camping out.. at the box office in London). Even then, there is the fact that many of us will not be getting tickets on Friday.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

what ticketmaster site to fans outside of the uk buy from? the uk? or .com?

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

I am not sure if anyone has asked this question as of yet but if not then I will ask..
Does anyone know about how much the booking fees are?? I know the cheapest seat is $70 in US money all the way up to $105, I just need to know the booking fees so I will know how much I can actually spend..

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

some one in this forum said the booking fees are generally £2.75 so i guess that's around $3.80 - $4.00 US. Don't quote me though. You'll find out when you book the tickets.

no one knows yet as the tickets haven't gone on sale.
you may have to book them seperately though, at least that's what i think will happen.

Re: Ticket Talk ONLY!

im scared that all tickets will sell out in 5 mins

They will not sell out in 5 minutes. They will sell out seconds after being released.

For big events like this, several tickets are given away to radio shows, reserved for VIP clubs, etc. Then there are tickets set aside for the box office. I'm sure the O2 is going to have tickets sold at their box office. This leaves the remainder to be sold online or via telephone.

I doubt anyone calling in has a chance. There are going to be thousands and thousands of people online trying to buy tickets the moment they go on sale, hitting their refresh page up to the very second the sale goes live. Once this happens, people put in the number of tickets they want and at what price level (the most expensive, the middle, or lowest cost. There is also a 'best available" option). This process takes meres seconds to complete.

To put this in perspective, I tried to get tickets to a hot event one time and was online before tickets went on sale. I had the page up and kept hitting refresh so I would be ready the moment tickets were available. Once the page went live, I put in my request and tickets had already sold out. This was literally in the span of about 30 seconds.

Actually, regardless of when the dates are announced, you cannot buy tickets to two separate shows at once. Even if they announced that all ten dates will be on sale Friday, you'd still have to buy your tickets show by show. You cannot buy tickets to multiple events at once. Each date will have it's own page to buy tickets from.

You can see how it works by going to Ticketmaster and starting a purchase. You don't have to enter your name or any information, it just gives you an idea of what to expect.
