thinking about a michael jackson tattoo

Here's the one I got about an hour ago:

It's only "Heal The World", the rest was already there for a while. Sorry it's not a great picture but I just wanted to quickly share.
 
I'm 16 and in general I dont like tattoos, but I want to get a MJ tattoo.
He shaped me as a person, so I think it would be great.
It would be for myself, so I would like o have a small one. Maybe a small one on my wrist/hand, foot or my hip.
 
Angie85, your tattoo looks really nice, I like it alot. Nice and simple.

I've my horoscope sign on my right hipbone. Indeed with the right bikini you can't see it. I have it since december and still proud on it, so this summer I actually wanted t show it to everyone...hihi.
If think that it will not be influenced by pregenancy because it's just below the area which will grow. Although I am not 100% sure about that.

No problem. I actually called Tom Renshaw and he called back yesterday and said he's booked until January and it's good to book it really early. Whenever I can actually gather my thoughts and look through pics of MJ and listen to his songs again, I'll start designing mine. I have some ideas already, but I haven't even been in the mood to sketch them out. I know I'll probably want to show it around too, even though I now say I want it to be just mine :D

I have a beautiful quote from Michael that I would like to be tattooed on the hipbone area, but it just seems a bit long so I'm not sure if it will look nice. It isn't extremely long, but I've tried to write it on there with make-up pencils (lol) and can't figure out how it would look the best. I guess I just need to take the tattoo a bit higher than I planned, but then again, people will partly see it and it most likely will be influenced by pregenancy.

Maybe I should just go and talk to the tattooist, he will know the best. :D
 
where is the place it hurts the least? i have sat in the chair twice and chickened out lol... but im DEF getting one now... probably on his bday or aug 30th cuz thats when i was supposed to be at the concert.

It probably hurts the least where the skin is thick. And where there are no bones near. It hurts the most when the tattoo is made right above a bone, that's what I've heard. But everyone feels the pain differently so it's hard to tell where it hurts the least or the most.

When I got my first tattoo, it didn't really hurt, it just felt a bit uncomfortable. Even though I got it near my collarbones, where the skin i quite thin.

If you feel like chickening out, I think there are different kind of creams that ease the pain.. not sure though :D
 
Well, this I am torn on. I thought about it. The only man's name I would tatoo on my body is Michael's. I have one already (my name). I said I would never get another tatoo. But Michael I may have to make an exception. Nothing outstandish. Just MJ My Luv 4-Ever, some where were noby else can see it. 4 my eyes only.

I would love to get one. But I really need to think about it a while. If I'll take one, it will be something really private. And somewhere privare. I'm thinking about under the hip bone. I already have a tattoo, not about Michael though. I took it when I turned 17 and it didn't hurt, just felt a bit nasty. So I'm not scared about the pain or anything. Just need to think things clear before I do anything.

I have a tattoo on each hip bone in the exact area you are talking about. They are both half covered by bikini bottoms in the summer. The area is sensitive, yes, but it does not hurt as bad as you would think. That tatoo artist pulls the skin very taut so there is not that much slack. Since it is very taut the pain is minimal.

As far as being pregnant goes, it all depends on your skin and how much elasticity it has and if you use special butters and what not. My sister has one like mine and it is totally destroyed from 3 pregnancies. My best friend has one that goes up the entire side of her stomach, and she is teeny tiny, flat stomached. She just had her son and that tattoo is compeltely normal and you could never even tell she was pregnant.

PS. Make sure to always wear sunblock over them in the summer or when in the sun so that they dont fade =]

I'm getting "Stop Existing" on my left wrist and "Start Living" on my right wrist in the Dangerous album cover style of writing when I go back to L.A in mid September. My first tattoo.

I like the MJ with the butterflies I might get a tattoo with the logo too.
I'm thinking of getting the logo with a picture of Tinkerbell with it
 
ok i have my appt for monday at 8:30pm. i was gonna get something orignial.. but i really just want to get the MJ from HIStory even tho everyone else has it. also his sig. i dont know. im scared lol.... but it will only last the most 10mins per tatoo THANK GOD
 
I love the tattoos I've seen so far here! :clapping:I really like my tattoo (in avatar) it will always remind me of the fun entertainment he gave us in abundance! Not sure if I'll get any more because I'm waiting to see how my skin reacts to this. Hopefully no Psoriasis flare ups will happen.

Can anyone tell me where to find the photo of Michael that's going to be on the cover of the Vanity Fair September issue? I'm def gonna get the magazine but I'd like to see and have the whole photo in high quality without writing because i'm pretty sure that's definitely the portrait i want on my back for my tattoo. It's stunning and I've never seen it before. I need an awesome copy of it because at this point in the planning stage I'm thinking it will take up one whole side of my back and towards the lower part of his torso it will fade into lyrics probably from "Will You Be There" that will go across my lower back and maybe even wrap around to the side of my hip.

The link to vanityfair.com just shows the advertisements for the issue if you haven't seen it yet. If I have to I'll write to Vanity Fair and ask them about the photo, but I know there are so many people on here that can find anything that's Michael-related, so I would really appreciate it!!
