Yes I too, it is on the BB200 since weeks or maybe month. On the time of Bad 25-release it hasn`t had this popularity. On the other hand Thriller is out now since a longer time.

Based on mid-year data the four albums sold a very similar amount in the first half of 2015 with Thriller still being on top.

Considering the poor general record sales, selling 231,000 copies of albums in half a year without any promotion is very good. Projecting that to a year that would be almost 500,000 copies. With no promotion, no anniversary, now new release. That's very good IMO.

No joke. I would think that current artists releasing new music would be gnashing their teeth in jealousy. Pretty amazing to me. Love it, though.

Billie Jean crossed the 100 million mark on Spotify in terms of spins which is a big number for an old song. Just to put it into context: such a viral relatively current hit like Happy has 354 million spins, Blurred Lines 245 million. So 100 million is very good for a 33-year-old song.

On this occasion I made an update on the Spotify stats of MJ's songs.

Some notes:

Love Never Felt So Good is solo and duet version counted together. Beat It has overtaken Man In The Mirror since the last time I checked it (around May).

It was doing very well on iTunes all week long, being in the Top 20, climbing as high as #11. I guess maybe as more physical sales will come in it will push it down a little, but still very impressive from a 33 year old album! Mixing with all the current releases on the charts!

— Michael Jackson, Thriller – No. 68 — Michael Jackson’s classic No. 1 album returns to the list after a three-month absence, thanks to sale pricing and promotion in the iTunes Store (8,000 overall units, up 367 percent; 5,000 in pure album sales; up 239 percent). This is Thriller’s highest rank since the Feb. 16, 2013-dated chart when it was No. 61.

Michael still has two GH albums on the market among which the sales are split: Number Ones and Essential. They both regularly chart. Plus in MJ's case some of his old studio albums also regularly chart (Thriller, Bad mainly) which cannot be said about those artists you mentioned. In Marley's case basically anyone who wants to buy a Marley album will buy Legend. All his sales are focused on that one album. I don't see old Queen or Madonna studio albums chart either, so mainly if people want to buy an album from them they turn to their GH.
