Next up? liberian girl?
No, it will probably be Off The Wall which currently has 87.68 million streams. Liberian Girl currently is on 75.67m streams. But yes, Liberian Girl will most likely be the next 80s song to hit 100 million streams.

Michael doesn't have many songs left from the 80s that haven't reached 100 million. Not taking into consideration the songs released on anniversary editions and special editions, only Baby Be Mine, The Lady In My Life, Speed Demon, Another Part Of Me, Just Good Friends and Liberian Girl are 80s songs that are yet to hit 100 million streams.

Bar JGF they’re all decent streamers

Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” isn’t just one of his biggest hit singles, it’s one that just won’t die, reanimating every year when Halloween comes around. The tune started to return to the Billboard charts a few weeks ago as the scariest holiday of the year neared, and now that it’s in the rearview, the weekly rankings reflect the massive uptick in consumption of the cut that’s taking place in America.

All that attention to Jackson’s smash has helped him hit No. 1 on not one, not two, but three different Billboard charts this week–more than a decade after his death.

....Jackson fans are waiting to see where the Billboard charts put the song tomorrow. Whatever chart position is arrived at, clearly “Thriller” won Halloween week by a landslide.

Next year, the fans — who really made this happen as a grassroots affair — can team up with Jackson’s label, Epic, to go even higher!

I don’t remember holiday or theme related songs to re chart back in the 90s. I wonder why stuff like this is getting hyped the last decade or so

Before the streaming era, only a purchase of a song or an album, as well as the radio plays would contribute towards the charts. With streaming, it is all about how many times a song or an album is played. Back in the 90s and 00s, you could play Thriller on CD or iTunes endlessly during the Halloween period, but it would have no impact on the charts. But now if you play Thriller endlessly during the Halloween week on spotify, it would have a big impact on the charts.

In some way, streaming platforms like spotify are great, as I believe that without the streaming platforms, legacy artists like Michael would not appear weekly on the charts. But as we are now approaching the Christmas period, we are going to see the music charts over the next two months flooded with overrated Christmas songs like All I Want For Christmas Is You, and that is something I am not a fan of.
