"THE IMMORTAL World Tour" has so far generated US$270 million box office worldwide and was the second highest grossing tour of 2012 in the U.S., just behind Madonna's "MDNA Tour," according to Pollstar.
Geez, and thats without the actual artist touring. Now that, my friends, is a true legend.

Violinist and orchestra conductor André Rieu makes his second No. 1 appearance of the year at on the weekly Hot Tours ranking with box office grosses reported from tour dates during March and April. Rieu, who also earned the top tour ranking on the chart dated January 14, tops this week's list based on $6.9 million in ticket sales from 10 venues in North American and two in Brazil. The U.S. and Canadian trek began on March 7 in Orlando and wrapped with a March 20 performance in Vancouver. In Brazil, the Dutch classical artist played four nights in Rio de Janeiro beginning on April 11 followed by an April 17 performance in the city of Belo Horizonte.
The Cure takes the No. 3 slot among the week's top 10 tours with a $3.4 million (US$) gross from a stadium date at Foro Sol in Mexico City. The concert on April 21 was the final date on a brief trek through South America during April. The LatAm2013 Tour brought the veteran British band back to the continent for the first time in 17 years with shows in Brazil, Paraguay, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Colombia before the final stop in Mexico.
Legendary heavy metal band Black Sabbath lands at No. 4 on Hot Tours with one of the concerts from its world tour that launched in New Zealand on April 20. An Australian leg began with shows in Brisbane on April 25 and Sydney two days later, marking the band's first concert tour appearance Down Under in four decades. The concert included in this week's tally is the sold out show at Sydney's Allphones Arena on April 27 with over $2 million in ticket sales revenue. Melbourne and Perth followed Sydney on the tour schedule, and the Aussie trek is set to wrap on May 7 in Adelaide. The band has tour legs planned in both North America and Europe for the remainder of the year.
