I wish we could beat it in Stockholm but Globen isn´t big enough.

Cirque du Soleil's concert touring production, Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour ranks No. 1 on this week's Hot Tours ranking with box office totals reported from an multi-show run in London during October. The O2 Arena hosted the tour for eight nights (Oct. 12-14, 16-17, 19-21), selling out every show and amassing a combined attendance count of 78,777 for the run. The overall gross was £4.5 million ($7.2 million US$) for the Live Nation-promoted production.

Since launching its North American leg in Oct. 2011, the Michael Jackson Immortal World Tour has played to more than 1.5 million people with ticket sales revenue topping $163 million. The London run kicked off the tour's European leg with dates booked until Dec. 29. The 2013 schedule begins in Russia in January and continues through April.

During the past week, Latin American concert promoter OCESA reported box office gross and attendance counts for touring artists who have been on the road this fall in Mexico. Four of those artists land on this week's Hot Tours recap. Ranking fourth is Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz with $3 million in ticket sales at two venues. On Oct. 13, he played to a crowd of 47,144 at Mexico City baseball stadium, Foro Sol with a gross of 24.7 million pesos ($1.9 million). Two shows in Monterrey's 8,000-seat indoor amphitheater, Auditorio Banamex drew a total of 13,391 attendees on Oct. 19 and 20.

Alejandro Fernández takes the No. 8 slot among the top-grossing tours of the week with ticket sales totaling $2.2 million at two Mexican venues. On Sept. 7 and 8 he performed at Arena VFG, the Guadalajara arena named in honor of his father, legendary ranchera singer Vicente Fernández. Attendance at the arena totaled 19,078 for both performances. He also played two shows in Monterrey's Auditorio Banamex with 13,348 tickets sold for both nights, Oct. 5 and 6.

Rounding out the OCESA tours in the top 10 is Spanish rocker Enrique Bunbury who ranks No. 9 with $1.3 million in ticket sales from three concerts in Mexican venues during September. He performed in Guadalajara on Sept. 8 at Auditorio Telmex, at Auditorio Banamex in Monterrey on Sept. 22 and at Mexico City's Sports Palace on Sept. 28.

Following Bunbury at No. 10 is pop group Big Time Rush who also performed at the same venues in Mexico City and Monterrey on Sept. 25 and 26. An additional concert that occurred earlier in the month at i wireless Center in Moline, Ill. was also reported this week giving the Nickelodeon boy band a total gross of $1.3 million from all three shows.

I bought my tickets 9 months ago and tomorrow is the day I will attend the show. Time really flies. Im beyond excited and I bought tickets very close to the stage.

My friend, who enjoys his music but nothing more, went to the show this evening and something happened during the show because the text Ive recieved is so out of character of her. Ive never seen her proclaim her love for MJ like this. She has bombared my phone with texts like "I loved the show and you will love it... It was amazing... Dont be sad that he is no longer with us, be happy that you lived during his lifetime too because thats a blessing... His music is all about love and thats the greatest power of all... I can't stop thinking how it would have been if MJ popped out on stage... I got teary and a heavy heart... He is our time Messias... MJ is pure love... I want to hug him... He should have been there with the dancers... Something was missing and that was MJ... The crowd was amazing"

So if this is from my friend who simply just enjoys his music, than how will the show affect me? Im gonna be a mess!!!!

I´m going to see it tonight,I´m so excited.
I bought my ticket as soon as I could and now it´s only hours left.
4 of my workmates decided finally to go too but they don´t have places beside me.
It´s good then I can feel free to cry and scream as much as I want and I get company to travel there.

Omg, saw the show in Stockholm on friday and saturday.
And it was amazing!! :D but the 2nd time I saw the show I really couldn't stop the tears even during thriller and billie jean, black or white in the end. And Will you be there...that one really hurts...I cried like a baby...Byt the dancers are so talented and they gove everything just to put off the best show ever! It really felt as if Michael was about to enter the stage any second... <3 <3

One more show in Cologne is added. Now we have 19 shows in 9 cities in Germany.

I have a question... Don't know if it's been discussed already, so sorry in advance!
And please don't bite me, it's just a question!! :blushing:

Is there anyone who thinks this Show costs a lot of money,.. a little too much to attend??

Tickets are the same price as most shows of that calibre so I think they are perfectly reasonable.

An update on the new permanent show plus news that the Immortal tour is being extended to the end of 2014:

CIRQUE PLOTS MICHAEL JACKSON SHOW POST-‘ZARKANA,’ ‘IMMORTAL’ SUCCESS

Reveling in the success of the Michael Jackson touring show “Immortal,” Cirque du Soleil President Daniel Lamarre has revealed details of the full-time-residency King of Pop production set to open at Mandalay Bay in May.
Daniel told me: “We are talking May 23 for the first-night of previews, with the grand gala opening June 21. The Montreal studio right now is moving and shaking with Michael Jackson rehearsals. It will be totally different from the touring show.
“The tour was a rock arena concert, but this will be highly theatrical. That’s the big difference, but there will still not be a Michael Jackson character in it.”
Cirque has still not decided on the show’s title, and the creative team is working on the visuals. Daniel explained: “For the moment, we want to keep all the lights focused on our new ‘Zarkana’ at CityCenter. Once it’s well established, which will take a couple of months, we’ll come back to you and start really talking about the new Michael Jackson show.

“However, I don’t want to confuse the two Michael shows. They are totally different. We have already learned from the touring show that people want to listen and see his complete hits. They don’t want a medley of songs; they want the full song.
“So it won’t be 23 songs in the theatrical version. We will probably have fewer, but we will play it full blast. None of the acts in the touring show will be used in the theatrical show. They will all be brand new -- nothing will have been seen before.
“There will be a lot of acrobatic acts, but they will be characters with the storytelling. It will be very different than anything else we have done.”
Daniel told me that costumes and makeup are being finalized in the next two weeks: “We are a collaboratory! We are right in the middle of it. We keep trying new things and new challenges. Everything is very much on target with the construction at the theater in Mandalay Bay.

“You will be surprised with the changes there. … It is part of our signature. We love to change theaters in order to present our content the best way. … We will move the cast and crew to Las Vegas in March.”
I asked Daniel if it would be a re-creation of Neverland the audience would walk through. “We like the Neverland signature. You will see something of Neverland, but I don’t want to take you in the wrong direction,” he explained. “There is some Neverland, but it is not about Neverland. We have our own story line compared to other Cirque shows.
“It is an amazing combination of director Jamie King, who worked on the touring show, and a young man, Welby Altidor, who is the creative director. He has been with Cirque a long time -- he has grown with Cirque. He is really bringing something different to the signature of the show. “
Daniel told me that once the production is together and installed in Las Vegas, Cirque founder Guy Laliberte will then be here to finish the production and give the green-light go.

Meantime, “Immortal” continues to break records and win awards. “We won the most creative arena show in North America award from Billboard on Thursday, the night before ‘Zarkana’ opened. We are sold out everywhere in Europe right now. We set new all-time-record attendance records in Denmark. It’s the same wherever the show goes in. Last week, we were in Sweden and phenomenal records.
“It’s so big we are extending the tour by at least another year. It means for now, we will run it until the end of 2014 for sure. It’s headed for South America and Asia. Then we’ll return it to America and Europe to a lot of repeat cities where we were very successful and could have had longer engagements.”
I talked with Daniel at Gold Lounge in Aria before the “Zarkana” premiere Friday night. He summed up: “This is a very exciting night. It also is very interesting for us because it is the first time in Las Vegas that we opened an existing show, but all the excitement of a brand new show is here.
“The sound is a huge change from New York. It is much bolder here. The one thing that we had underestimated is how well the music, the set, fits in the Aria theater. This is pure luck because it was not planned that way.
“When I walked in the theater with Guy 10 days ago, he was overwhelmed. That is rare because Guy is very, very severe about the content of our shows, but when he felt, heard and saw the ultra-sound and everything else, he was really, really pleased.”

According to the fan reports I read about the shows that have taken plance in Germany: WBSS and Shake your body are back, but IJCSLY has been cut. Does anyone know the reason behind this?

IJCSLY was such a beautiful performance. I loved the the the way they portrayed the black and white swans that were at Neverland. The were so high up in the air only holding on to each other and a strap! Did they think it was too dangerous?

It was breathtaking to watch them. I hope this isn't true :(

It is true. Multiple users in german fan forums confirmed it.

Maybe it's permanent, but maybe it's also the rigging that didn't allow to do this performance in these particular stadiums. Or the two particular dancers were injured/sick and couldn't perform it? OR they "save" it for the Las Vegas residency show from now on... maybe?
But that's just speculation on my part.

Not entirely true. according to jamie king there will be certain moments elements from the touring show. but as a whole it will be a diffrent show

Not according to the most recent comments from Cirque president Daniel LaMarre in the piece at the top of this page:

"None of the acts in the touring show will be used in the theatrical show. They will all be brand new -- nothing will have been seen before."

They may have considered having elments from Immortal in the past but now that the show is designed and they are into rehearsals, thwt is clearly no longer the case.

You are probably right but it could also be possible that, at this point where the resident show is not that far away, they just say it will be completely new instead of mostly new because it sounds way better...

i was yesterday on the vienna show. it was, i think 99,9% sold out. but i would say sold out.
the people freaked out (me too :D). amazing atmosphere.
a very great tribute concert. amazing to see sugarfoot and gred again. after so many years.

if some fans here, with not seeing a real michael jackson concert... imaging this immortal concert + the real michael jackson double size stage, 100% more perfection & dancing and choreography = a michael jackson concert.
it was like a mini michael jackson concert. the feeling was like a michael jackson concert in some way.
if that is what they want to reach, then they did. really. :)
