oh, I loved Boo-Yaa back in the day. Never got into them real heavy. Too in love with my screechy rock bands. Not too much time left over for hip hop and rap. But I loved the Boo-Yaa guys, loved 'em. ❤️

I'm sure it is if you like film and you happen to like that type of film. I don't. I've seen many clips of it and I've never felt inspired to watch it properly.
I’m not going to try to change your mind but I’ll tell you why I love this film

It is different to your average action film of the 80s which is why it is such a cult film. For starters there is not a whole lot of dialogue, the soundtrack pretty much carries the narrative. Also in comparison with other films of its type nothing is watered down for kids. Conan is a disgusting film with sex, nudity, cannibalism and gore. There is non of the comic relief or silly one liners or fake looking fight scenes it is all gritty and realistic.

Check out the movie score though, the entire album is completely memorable on its own, you don’t need the movie to enjoy the music.

I'm very mainstream, lol.

That sounds good.

I like that idea.

Yay!

Conan is a disgusting film with sex, nudity, cannibalism and gore.
oh yeah, that's why I don't like the bits I have seen. And I'm sure I've seen the easier bits, not the hardcore bits.

Yeah, too realistic for me, probably.

Uh, film scores are not really my thing. I will make a mental note but it won't happen any time soon (if it happens at all - it probably won't, tbh).

You make a good case for the film, f&m. It won't change my mind bc I am SO not into film. And I have seen quite a few clips and really didn't want to take it any further. But you do argue a good case for the cult status of the thing.

P.S. Action films. That's your first problem right there. Not mad keen on action films, especially 80's ones. I'm sure there are some I like (tries to think of one ... ) but as a genre, it's usually not my cup of tea.

Yeah I figured but Conan really does not feel like an action movie, in fact much of its runtime doesn’t contain action, it doesn’t need action to keep the story interesting.

When you watch the sequel or remake all of that changes, they feel like cheap generic action movies.

Anyway enough talking!

Reading Dream Dancing is a special moment for me. It was during a difficult emotional time in life for me and I caught the atmosphere of the book so easily. By the end of the reading I was all teary-eyed and accidentally wrote a poem..... Writing poetry is not really my thing. It was like an obsession of some kind.

oh, that's a lovely story.

Not that you were having a difficult time but that you had such a strong reaction that a poem poured out of you.

Looking at @hope 's latest post over on Cute Baby Animals, I started thinking ...

@Fuzball is an orange cat (sometimes a lion or tiger cub but usually an orange cat), @hope is a red panda, @wendijane is a fox, I am clearly a baby pygmy goat (I wish! oh god, I wish I was even half as cute as they are, lol).

Also, I just realised, I'm the outlier - of course I am! - bc I broke the colour co-ordination. Fuz is orange, foxes are red/orange, ditto red panda. I am rocking a really cool charcoal grey / almost black colour scheme with white markings.

Haven't figured out what @@mjfanatic777 @bluemoon7 or @Agonum might be. But, anyway, my tired brain was quite entertained by these musings. :D

It's intriguing.)) It should be noted that red pandas have black fur on their bellies:) Black and gray go well with all colors. I will timidly suggest a possible green color from one of the participants....And possibly blue. And everything goes well with red, black, and gray too. Interesting missing preference information)))))

Curious what a flag with these colors could be?

Cats 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Of course, this thought did pop into my tired brain after I posted my comment. I do associate red/orange with the red panda but, yeah, sure, they do have those contrasting colours in there, also (wonders, idly, if it's a camouflage thing). Obviously, goats can have many colours in their fur. I only focused on the grey and black bc of little Phoebe, the bouncing baby pygmy goat. :)

oh, I didn't even think of that, lol.

Or that. Yes, of course. Good suggestions!

Mm, a bit jumbled, perhaps? Sometimes more is too much, lol.

They surely are. :D
