I know Baba Yaga is a character in Russian folk tales. She was in the version of Koschei The Undying that I had as a kid. I know she doesn't often turn up in stories about Koschei but she was in mine. I think. I'm pretty sure. 🤔 Well, she was definitely in the book of fairy tales I had and I'm pretty sure it was that story. She was pretty scary. I did quite like the fact that she flew around in a tin bucket, though. Don't really know much about her except she can be portrayed as scary or as, well, maybe not benign but I know she isn't always shown as being a baddie. She can grant wishes and other times she ... er, isn't so friendly. That's all I'm saying, lol. I want to be able to sleep tonight and it's nearly bedtime. :ROFLMAO:

Pretty much just what I said in my reply to mj777. I no longer have the book of fairy tales, sadly. It was wonderful bc it had folk tales from all around the world. Russia, Africa, Australia. I so wish I had kept it. I can still see the illustration of the Baba Yaga in my head even after all these years. She makes an impression, that one, lol.

P.S. Koschei was spelt like that in my book so that's why I'm spelling it that way. It's sort of burnt into my brain. Apologies if it's incorrect.

Actually people violence aside - few pages back @zinniabooklover posted a really really lovely kitty vid and i was taken by the video absolutely sweet ...little kitty got his first toy . sweet , but i was also taken by the music so i searched for it and i think i need to post it . its beautiful
