Excuse me. It’s a safety thing not because your American or European
I know that. What I'm saying is, Americans did not wear helmets when riding on horseback. That is why, in this video, you can see Linda McCartney and her kids not wearing helmets. Europeans have always worn them, Americans did not. Look at any film, tv series, children's book from the 50's, 60's or 70's and you'll see Americans not wearing helmets when on horseback. It was even a theme in some books where you'd have English characters being amazed that the American kids did not wear hard hats.

The most you'd ever see with Americans was a cowboy hat. Otherwise it was bare heads all the way. They would wear them if they were taking part in an international show-jumping competition - bc it was compulsory - but not if they were riding for leisure.

If you watch The Pioneer Woman on Food Network you'll see her husband and kids working the ranch on horseback. No helmets. Original series filmed in, iirc, 2011.

I am glad I did NOT see that
Don't worry, he wasn't naked. That's just wendi being melodramatic. In the photo, Axl was performing at a gig, he was clearly at least an hour into the gig, he was hot and sweaty and he had his top off. Not so very different from Michael tearing his shirt. No way would I post a photo of anyone naked. There's probably a rule against it but I wouldn't do it, anyway.

I was really wanting to post some clips from The Slipper and The Rose bc the fairy godmother in that film is awesome. But there don't seem to be any short clips available. :(

The other film I love is Enchanted with Amy Adams. Here she is in her big dress.

Ohhhh ok sorry

And here's some more other romance before another battle breaks out here)))))

I'm a little embarrassed, but your descriptions of Cinderella's outfits made me nostalgic. And I can't hold it in. It's a cartoon from my childhood. They are so romantic
I really enjoyed that. Loved it, actually. The animation is lovely and not sickly or sugary sweet. I was less keen on the song so put that on mute halfway through.

It was a little bit surreal, as well, which was unexpected. Cinderella here is a little bit like the LadyBird one. They both have blonde hair but dark eyes.

It's a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed it. It was very interesting to hear about your impression. Thank you for sharing. And the cartoon is very musical, there are few words)))) and there is this fairy-tale, magical atmosphere.

I've just watched it 3 times, back-to-back. I really like it so much. There is so much in it even though it is really short.

I am sadly monolingual (typical British!) so cannot recognise the written language.

Did you watch the whole cartoon? Or just this excerpt? Some videos may have subtitles with automatic English translation. Your interest is very much appreciated.

Just this little excerpt. Is there more? I did go onto YT but that was bc I was trying to find out what language it was. I didn't even think to look for a longer version. Plus, as I said, there is so much in this little clip. There is a lot to think about, a lot to look at.

It isn't Russian, is it? I'm rubbish at languages so apologies if I've got that totally wrong. I wasn't interested in accessing a translation. The story is so easy to follow. It's just that it sort of reminded me of illustrations of Russian tales I saw as a kid. I had one fairy story book when I was little which was my fave. It had a couple of Russian tales in it. One was called Koschei The Undying. Can't remember too much about it, tbh, apart from the Baba Yaga being in it. There was an illustration of her flying around in a tin bucket. For some reason, this little clip made me think of that.

I've probably got this completely wrong, lol.

also @zinniabooklover sorry if I was rude to you earlier..sometimes I get rude for no reason but I'm trying to fix that! and I can start by apologizing. so, sorry for being rude. hopefully I didn't seem too rude to you
Don't worry about it. We all have our moments. Not having a great day myself. Earlier today I was thinking, 'I really don't want anyone else asking me any more questions about anything, ever. I've had enough!'. Sometimes life is so tiring.

I did think you sounded a little bit out of sorts but that is allowed. We can't be upbeat all the time. And it's incredibly mature of you to offer an apology so ... apology accepted. :) There are people three times your age who wouldn't have the awareness to even realise what was going on let alone be big enough to take action, as you have done here. So that's really impressive.

Maybe a little magical fairy tale video is what we both needed. :D

I'm not posting this photo to make a point about hard hats when on horseback! I just love the photo. These are 3 of the Pioneer Woman's kids. The ranch is in Oklahoma. I looked at this photo and wished Michael could go riding with them. I think he'd love all that space, the privacy, the freedom.

It's a full 17 minute cartoon, there's some text, but it's clear without them.
It's the lyrics to Cinderella and the Prince.
