The Last Person to Post in This Thread Wins

This made me feel a little bit tearful. This is a beautiful summation of the Michael 'thing'. I don't even know what to call it. It's so many things. So many beautiful, mystical, enchanting things.

I'm fascinated by the way in which so many people can feel a connection to a person they haven't met - often to someone creative - and yet, in Western society, at least, we've decided that it can't happen. Or it shouldn't happen. Or there must be something wrong with you. Something lacking. We have got ourselves into a bit of a muddle over this, imo. I think the connection can be a very real, important, meaningful thing. Why assume it's a delusion or something weird or harmful?

Reading the Lizzo stories today and then thinking of Michael. How Brad Sundberg talks about him. Matt Forger. Marsha Ambrosius. The list goes on and on.

He was a beautiful spirit. And we are lucky to be able to recognise that and to allow ourselves to be embraced by it.

Beautiful words from you as well :)

Yes to the bolded! Today I know I can trust myself when I feel a special connection to someone. And that this connection is precious and has done me much good.

Growing up, I was always taught that the head, the intellect is sooo important, feelings and the heart are secondary. Michael taught me that you can have BOTH, but that actually opening your heart is what makes you happy.

I missed his entire life. :D🥲🥲
You did but you're here now and that's what counts. I was there for his whole life bc we're the same age. And in some ways that is great but it also means I took him for granted. Like, MASSIVELY. I was so blase about him. I'm not complaining. I don't feel guilty or anything silly like that. But he was often like my wallpaper. Like I said, he was almost a sibling to me so I could afford to be blase about him. Bc that's what you do to people who are close to you. Or is that just me?

I didn't buy his records until after he died. Even now, I'm still working out what he means to me.

It's all very ❤️ 😊 💔 🙃

Oh man, I took him for granted as well, but as an artist. At 13, 14, he was my favourite artist, but I did not now that many others. I only realized how MASSIVELY influential he is and how TALENTED and humane he was when I was much older. And with this, the internet helped a lot. Suddenly there was so much footage of him and information.

We would have done that all over the corded phone somehow ! haha
Cheers, wend. You JUST reminded me.

@@mjfanatic777 - listen up and @bluemoon7 maybe, also.

In the UK in the 70's you could go into a public phone box and dial a number and listen to a record. So a record would be released, it would get into the Top 20 or the Top 10 and you would phone up and listen to it over the phone.

I'm not making this up. :ROFLMAO:

wendi is the Dangerous Queen!
In the pale blue dress. Scorned by her stylist in the pale pink one!
Darling, I can't even explain to you just how incredibly cool Michael Clark was back in the day. He was THE rock star of the ballet world. You have no idea.
no.
Actually, being serious for a moment, he's very low-key these days but there are reasons for that. He will always be my boy.
well he looks bloody cool that pic you posted babe!
🤣
her mouth is
Smoother than oil

@Fuzball & you loved it cause it's dangerous . Hush swine ! you can shut your fuzzy trap ! Actually ....is this you ???????????   🤸‍♀️?????????????????????????

The memories, ... When Michael was interviewed on LIVE tv by Oprah in 1993, it was also broadcasted here in Germany. So I set my alarm to like 2 or 3 o´clock in the morning and watched it. Next morning my parents just thought I was crazy because it was a weekday and I had to go to school. I was so tired, BUT I WAS HAPPY  ☺️

Wooooow, so you could like jam to the whole OTW album in a phone booth and have a long line of maaaad people waiting outside? :ROFLMAO: :cool::cool:

The visuals in my head right now

"Tay Tay Tay Tay

tuh tuh tuh tuh tuh tuh tay tay ..."

SO THAT ISD WHAT THEY SANG? :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: I have always wondered lolol.

That song was
I was taking liberties for the sake of my little joke. The actual lyrics are:

"Take, take, take, take, take-take, t-t-take, take
Take or leave us, only please believe us
We ain't never gonna be respectable"

In my defence I would say, it never actually sounded like 'take'. It always did sound like 'tay tay'. But, y'know, it was just my little joke to wend. :D

You did but you're here now and that's what counts. I was there for his whole life bc we're the same age. And in some ways that is great but it also means I took him for granted. Like, MASSIVELY.
