I had a great time with my family. Watching my boys perform felt like old times. We miss you Michael! pic.twitter.com/iqQwmQHHBd

Poor thing Blanket looked so bored... :sigh: I wouldn't be surprised if if the Jackson's make the children going to London or wherever the 3T have their concerts to attract more publicity. I just hope they don't drag Paris, she's safer wherever that school facility is.

Yes. I am surprised that Katherine looked sad in the shot in Prince's tweet. Maybe the show made her think about Michael?

I hope Blanket got another treat for his birthday other than watching his older uncles perform.

yet she has no trouble exploiting his kids to death and sucking his estate until it collapses ( e.g she's charging her dead son $2.5m in "consultation" fee).

come on now why the hate? When he was $ 500 million in debt she said she never believed he suffered from any financial troubles. that's why she kept asking him to support everyone. Now with the hundreds of millions the estate is making you expect her to sit down and not to ask for more and more? Even with the millions she is getting she still believes she's entitled to much more , trust me.

Who is the guy between Tito and Jackie? He looks like Howard Mann.

Yesterday I was feeling sorry for some of the cubs, but once again, Jermaine opens his mouth for more crap.
I wonder what is going on in his head when they using Michael's kids to promote their show. He must be pissed off thinking that they made it out off Gary because Michael, and now Michael's kids are helping them to their attempted comeback. Even teenagers are more famous than them, says a lot.
Ooh the irony, and I hope it is not lost in Jermy's head.

Got hit on by Joe Jackson last night! Haha, Then he asked us for $5. 

Nah, Joe is too old for hanky panky. He just wanted to charge them for taking picture of themselves with Joe J

where are their children to support them? Please no one says they did not come as their fathers could not afford to bring them .The estate is forking the bill for everything, why not bring them then?

Unlike Blanket they have the privilege to say "No, it's going to be boring" while Blanket had to come to promote the show as if he's in a business deal.

J4 children are not "famous" as PPB, so there is no need for them to appear, nor none of them tweeted anything about their dads show, whereas Prince did.

I'm quite sure, all the travel cost for family that appeared there was taken from PPB's "holiday" funds (re 3rd accounting)

This is just like back in a day when KJ went to Michael begging him to go with brothers saying: "you don't need your brothers but your brothers needs you".
Now it is MJ's kids turn: "you don't need your uncles, but your uncles needs you".
and when PPB have kids on their own, and PPB's kids will be hounded with: "you don't need your grand-uncles, but your grand-uncles needs you.

Blanky wears the same shoes over and over again while Papa Joe every day in a new clown custom. And we wonder where the allowance goes!

Nice to see Siggy (DealZ) all grown up.. just judging by the picture it seems to look like he's outgrown his 'street' image he tried pulling off which just did not work well considering he's from a privileged Encino home and family.

I didn't realize that was him until I read your post lol.

I was sorry not to see Jermaine's kids there-regardless of the stun gun incident, Blanket seems to really enjoy the company of those kids and he would have probably had a good time with them there. In fact, all of their kids should have been there for the opening-maybe we just didn't see pix of them.

None of Jermaine kids tweeted about the show or they weren't made feel obligated that they should tweet or attend to see their dad's show.
They have no publicity power, whereas Michael's orphaned children who aren't public personas, are used left, right and center to support this family of ......

Jacksons ring with nostalgia, some of it a bit off

LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL
Who are these guys?

You grew up with them, but they’re different now. You know the songs, but they don’t sound the same.

Of course, because they are the Jacksons, not the Jackson 5. And they are the Jacksons in their mid-50s to early-60s, without their lead singer. But it doesn’t take long for the open-minded to realize it is possible to be a new group and an old one at the same time. A cover band that’s also the real thing.

Most of all, they are eternal showmen, if the opening weekend of what they hope will be an open-ended residency at Planet Hollywood Resort proved anything.

Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie and Tito may not have been equal parts of the original equation. But their collective presence — and the synchronicity in those superheroic stage moves — testify that entertaining us in their DNA, even if they do so with a little more deliberation and effort these days.

It was fair to ask if there would be a big, gaping hole on the stage in front of the guys we best remember chiming in “Sunlight … moonlight … good times … boogie” to Michael Jackson’s lead vocals. But Jermaine, 59, brings enough authority from his solo career to sell the lead vocals on “Blame It on the Boogie” and other classics, or trade them with 56-year-old Marlon, who remains “the dancingest Jackson.”

The inevitable Michael tribute finds Jermaine singing Michael’s “Gone Too Soon” in front of a photo montage of Michael. But the show’s biggest achievement may be that the whole thing doesn’t speak to his absence.

A smart set list sampling the group’s entire career aids the cause of this retrospective, giving new life to some of the songs we forgot once Michael became a cultural phenomenon that pushed his brothers further and further into the background.

Not that there’s any attempt to cut ties from Michael here. The Jacksons are happy to keep the lines blurred from those happy days circa the “Triumph” tour, when Michael’s solo hits such as “Rock With You” and “Don’t Stop ’Til You Get Enough” were folded into the group repertoire.

The quartet also digs into the years between the Jackson 5’s early bubble-gum explosion and the adult-sounding “Destiny” and “Triumph” albums. Lifelong fans will be rewarded with lost-years hits such as “Heaven Knows I Love You, Girl” and “Show You the Way to Go” (some featuring Jermaine not just as lead singer, but for the first time; he was off making solo albums when they were recorded).

And some good songs just welcome another chance to be heard. Isaac Hayes and others proved that with “Never Can Say Goodbye,” here given a nice read by Jermaine. He also takes a valid turn on the “Destiny” cut “Push Me Away,” one of several surprises you’d never thought you’d hear in a hits retrospective.

Tito Jackson, 60, adds his guitar to the seven-piece band that is well-hidden on a back riser, its three keyboardists paying homage to the old arrangements with sampled flutes and harpsichords. Tito and oldest brother Jackie, 62, occasionally trade vocal lines on songs such as “Man of War.” But they have a bigger role in the show’s brief attempt to add a biographical narrative.

Producer Adam Steck hopes to package the Jacksons with roommate Meat Loaf (and other shows still to come) as a “VH1 Storytellers”-like brand called “RockTellz and Cocktails.” Talking about himself — and even taking questions from the audience — comes second nature to Meat Loaf. But you can tell it’s about as fun for the Jacksons as a collective root canal.

You can’t really blame them, given a Shakespearean family saga of dysfunction that almost makes the sugar-coated highlights offered here seem comical. Some day, when there’s no reason to hold back, we’ll get the real stories.

For now, we get filmed bits with Berry Gordy and mother Katherine, and a live interlude with the four on stools laughing about Tito secretly borrowing father Joe’s guitar — which worked fine until he broke a string — or the Jackson 5’s debut at Harlem’s famed Apollo Theater.

It’s fine though, just enough to give extra resonance to the big celebration of a homestretch. The Jacksons get us on our feet for “Can You Feel It,” “Heartbreak Hotel” (or is it “This Place Hotel”? Never sure) and the inevitable extended throwdown of “Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground).”

We’ll see if these Jacksons can sell tickets on the Strip when they’re still laboring in the shadow of their brother, this time Cirque du Soleil’s juggernaut tribute, “Michael Jackson One.”

Although “One” is by design a fanciful fairy tale affair, this one somehow comes off as a seasoned and slightly damaged testimony to years gone by. Even if, one suspects from all the sunglasses and posturing, they didn’t intend it that way.

Paris is a "famous guest"? :bored2:

Therein lies the opportunity for some in the Jackson family to pimp out Mike's kids; simple supply and demand. Some of Mike's fans are too involved, too invested in his children and the family are all too willing to use that to their financial, etc. advantage (i.e. bringing them to the Brothers Vegas show).

Stop "consuming" all things PPB and the supply will dry up. I wish them a happy, stable, fulfilling life, but that's my hope for ALL children, not just those with famous parents.

Jackie Jackson on Touring, Keeping Michael's Spirit Alive

The eldest of the J5 on what it feels like to have the group back together after all these years and staying connected to his late brother
Grant Yanney
By Grant Yanney

The Jacksons are one of the world's most beloved family dynasties, selling over 100 million records to date. After the tragic loss of their little brother and pop icon Michael Jackson in 2009, the family has remained comitted to keeping it all together. We recently caught up with Jackie Jackson, the elder statesman of The Jacksons, about getting the old group back together. Word is, The Jacksons' 40-date show run, now under way at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, will be a big party featuring special guests, their greatest hits, and stories of their adventures across the world.

EBONY: How are you doing, Mr. Jackson? How's tour life treating you?

Jackie Jackson: It's been going wonderful. We've been touring a lot all over the world and we came from that tour and now we're getting ready to open up Las Vegas--we have a long stint in Las Vegas starting February 20th. 40 shows at Planet Hollywood. I've been looking forward to that.

EBONY: You and your brothers got back together for the Unity Tour (in 2012.) How was that experience?

JJ: Prior to that, we hadn't toured together for about 26, 27 years together, you know. And to just come back and do that again it was awesome bc we didn't know what was going to happen. The hardest part was really to put the song list together because we have so many songs and we try to satisfy so many fans from around the world, songs that they would want to hear. It took us two weeks just to put a great song list together. But we put a great list together started rehearsing and everything turned out wonderful. We just started feeding off of one another, everything came back, you know. Like it was in the old days...

EBONY: Can you speak on reuniting and the camaraderie of tour life?

JJ: It was great coming back together because like I told you once we got into the rehearsal hall, we didn't know what was gonna happen, we didn't know what to expect. But once we all got together and started playing the music we just started feeding off one another we just started knowing where each other was supposed to be. We felt Michael's presence there at the same time, it was just amazing man because we just came together--it was like old times. Everything fell right back into place. It was just like that. We had a great time.

EBONY: I know you said you felt Michael's presence...How did you guys keep Michael's spirit on stage

JJ: Nobody can ever take Michael's place, it's only one Michael. But having him on stage with us, we just knew at every given moment where he would be on the stage, during the choreography we just knew where he was. It just felt like he was there with us. During rehearsals and on stage as well. It just felt like he was there with us.

EBONY: Are you working in new music with the classics?

JJ: We're working on new songs and with other artists as well---I don't want to tell you who they are right now, but there will be a press conference in time when we will deliver all that to everyone. It's gonna be a great time. We're very, very excited about the project we're doing right now. It's gonna be a change of the whole Jackson sound that people want to hear. It's like that song "Treasure" by Bruno Mars--that's a Jackson song. It sounds like a Jackson song. It's an old style Jackson song. Its a hit record, a great sound. You're gonna hear stuff like that. It's going to be exciting.

EBONY: So will a new Jackson LP happen soon?

JJ: Yes, we're just trying to finish up, we've already started on some things, but we're trying to finish up while we're going to be all together in Las Vegas. We're gonna start recording again and try to finish it up. Hopefully, it'll be out by the summertime....

EBONY: What are your thoughts on new artists keeping that Jackson 5 sound alive?

JJ: I think it's wonderful. The music is coming back to where it was. Like Robin Thicke's hit song "Blurred Lines." That's a great song, it felt like a Marvin Gaye type of thing. It's music-- it's coming back. Like Bruno Mars, like I told you before that kinda stuff is coming back. It really is, good music is coming back.

EBONY: How was the process of working with new artists on the tour?

JJ: Working with these new artists is really easy because they admire us and what we've done in the past. They pretty much come in and let us do what we want to do and they just want to join forces with us. It turns out really wonderful.

EBONY: As a songwriter, how do you feel about the content of today's new records?

JJ: What I think as a song writer, a lot of these artists are listening to these old songs from back in the day. And they're coming up with some great hooks. They're really are today. They're bringing it back. Lyrical content is very important and also to have a great chorus or a great hook-- a great sing-a-long. My thing was having great melodies. Melodies are very important in a song. Having a great melody and a great hook. That's what I would always come up with a great melody and that's important.

EBONY: Can you speak on your label and what you're working on in terms of artist development?

JJ: It's more of a production company more or less, you know. I'm still developing some artists here and there. I have a big surprise coming really soon. It's five girls. I'm not going to elaborate on that anymore. It's five girls...they're all nationalities. It's gonna be incredible.

EBONY: I often joke that legendary musicians like you and your brothers kinda missed the social media wave. If you all had Twitter back then, how do you think that would've went down?

JJ: It would've been wonderful! If it was back in those days to have social media, man, it would've been off the hook, you know that and I know it too! [Laughs] Here's the thing, we're here today and we're involved in it right now.

EBONY: I heard you were a big sports fan once upon a time.

JJ: I used to watch Gale Sayers, the running back. He was one of my favorite players. Dick Butkus too. I've always been a Bears and a Chicago Cubs fan. All the brothers [liked them.] The whole family did.

EBONY: With the new tour, you've told us there will be a lot of behind the scenes stories. As a reader and a writer, a lot of people want to hear these stories. I've even heard urban legend that you and your brothers kept young Michael up with a lot of groupies on the road...

JJ: Michael kept us from sleeping. He was the one making all the noise. [More laughter ensues]. We had fun though, man. Its gonna be some great stories...these stories are some of the stories that have never been heard in interviews or anything. It's gonna be the first time you're hearing this stuff.

Never mind the singing but Jermaine tights/pantyhose got me in tears laughing. Too much :lmao::8-25-03stretcher:

Funny ^^ I think he tried to make the pants look like Michael's with the stripe on the side. I have to say I love the way his thigh muscles look in the pants. I don't like the t-shirt look though.

^ Jermaine and muscle? in the same sentence.... he's not muscular at all haha.. just an average guy

^^I did not say he was a muscular guy but that I love the way his thigh muscles look in the pants. I love how his calves look too. Also, everyone has muscles even though some might be weak. I can't get sound on those videos so I can't judge how he sang.

Would love if the Victory Tour got released HD in Blue Ray Officially Relased

Amen to your comment Bubs! Maybe they will learn one day to leave Michael's kids out of their act. I'm not trying to be sarcastic when I say this but the brothers should have gone back to school and gotten day job's 30 years ago. They should have saved and invested instead of trying to live on the same level as Michael.

From 10th April to 27th April (12 shows) has been cancelled
http://www.ticketmaster.com/The-Jac...61?tm_link=edp_Artist_Name#artist_table_focus

I just say it doesn't pay to use Michael's kids to promote any sort of schemes, quite opposite and I hope they take a notice.

Waw I feel sad for them. I really wanted them to make a go of it and get some more money. They really did not advertise that much although they did go on some tv shows. Look at One. This is a successful show and they are always advertising themselves. They were just on Ellen. Maybe the J4 should stick to small venues, do 2 night shows, and stop the exploitation of the kid as show and tell pieces to sell their shows.

I think the Jacksons did not have so little press for the show. ABC, NBC, The Insider, cover-story for the Las Vegas Magazine, Ebony interview, Robin Leach and some more articles and interviews. I thought the press was really friendly to them.
I think the Las Vegas shows show they are not capable to fill the small casino even half indicates the 4 Jacksons do not really have their own fan base. The Reunity Tour has shown it and now the Las Vegas show.
I think the only way for them to play in good visited halls is in the context of nostalgy shows as part of the show with other bands.
