Why didn't Jermaine inform his brothers though? It's fine if he wanted to do that tribute on his own, but he should have informed his family imo. It's bad that they had to hear about this from the press. I really don't see what he had to be upset about. Jermaine is in the wrong here.

IT indeed proved to be a Jermaine Jackson show, a MICHAEL JACKSON show would have NEVER EVER failed that miserably.
Jermaine is really desperate for a hit isn't he? It's not about ''jamming'' and ''making music'' to him. It's about having hits, dream on buddy.

"You can be a part of it by supporting it" is the cue that Jermaine is not interested in anyone or anything except himself.

The purpose of the "Tribute" is lost when the person putting it together ostracized his family in participating in it, yet chastises them for not supporting it. Where's the logic in that?

OMG, I love Marlon (he's the reason why I really watch, along with Jackie) - his daughter made me teary, I know how hard it is to go through a divorce & can feel her pain.

Jackie's son - HOTTT! Gosh those Jackson boys are a handsome bunch!

Jam and Lewis worked on Janet's control album and in the second episode, Jermaine and Tito went to see them for the two new songs they had to do.

I remember that episode, but what I was referring to is - I thought that Jam & Lewis were the producers Jermaine was upset about when MJ confronted Jermaine about "Word to the Badd," when Jermaine claimed MJ "stole" the producers from him, because they went to work with MJ on his "Bad" album. Duran corrected me saying that it was LA & Babyface.

And Control came out 1-2 years before "Bad" / "Word to the Bad" came out.

I cried the first 8 minutes. Tito said some very nice things about MJ while he was in the bar. LOL at Tito's younger woman. I really liked the show and can't wait to see the next one.

I may seem a little pickey but Why is it when they accept one of MJ's awards they always say I had know idea how much of an impact WE have on the World. It was MJ's award. I know it is their show. Also, Tito has confirmed what MJ said about not ever feeling loved. So I ask the question Why? didn't he feel loved.(this is of course rhetorical.) I am so sad, and I didn't finish watching the show. Tito knows MJ was in a lot of anguish; you could see in his eyes and on his face. He is pissed.

the brothers do play up the age thing don't they?! jackie still wants to be big Brother and tell everyone what to do. jermaine is being a typical middle child with his tantrums, and marlon knows he doesn't have tocommit himself, he just lets the bigger ones get on with it and he just eat of the fruit with no responsibility.

There haven't been many downloads of the series. Only the first 2 episodes. The 3th I had to watch on YouTube. So I'm sure this 1 will be on you tube very soon as well.

The show starts here this friday I think.

Before there was Solo Michael there was jackson 5. Those brothers drew more people than the Beatles did in their own town. there was a jackson on every lips of every race throughout the entire world. The Slogan was the face of young america; Young Gifted and Black, and the first thing your friend would ask you wqs, WHICH JACKSON DO YOU WANT TO MARRY?
Jermaine and jackie were top of the list.
Oprah winfrey wanted Jackie.
the Jackson 5 were the first black group that had fans mobbing them and they were nicknamed the Black Beatles.
THEY WERE ALL SUPERSTARS.
When Mj stared his solo career, he already was a super star, he did not start from the bottom, he started from the top.:wub:

It was still an award in Michael's name, so Marlon really should not had used the word 'we'. My mom gave birth to me, but I wouldn't want her to say we accept this award when I am the person who earned it and who's name is written on it. If they wanted to honor the entire Jackson 5, then yes, he should has used we.

Then again, all the brothers tend to do this. I remember when Jermaine was promoting one of his foundations was talking about how the family always wants to uplift people with songs like Heal the World and Man in the Mirror. Which is cool, but the Jacksons didn't sing or write those songs. It would had been better if he used Can You Feel It, since that is a Jacksons' song. Give credit where credit due, don't try to shoehorn yourself into it.

Btw, Michael was a star when he started his solo career, not a superstar. The Jacksons lost alot of their star power after they left Motown. By the time Michael came out with Off the Wall, the Jacksons were consider a has been act. Only really hardcore fans knew about the Jackson albums after they left Motown. So, the Jackson name did not have that much star power. It was Michael himself who took it from dimming to legendary.

Look sweetheart I am 42 years old I know all this. Still you can't claim his success even if he started with them. I started playing basketball with my sisters and I superseded them. They can be proud of me but they can't claim my own personal achievements. That is what I meant by that. You can't share everything.

DatsyMay your are a diehard Jackson 5 fan. That is cool. I grew up with the Jacksons love them. When they are right about something I give them their props but when their wrong about something especially when it comes to MJ I must call them on it. They do this all the time.
