The Discussion of MJ's Unreleased Tracks

Thriller–Dangerous all have two ballads each.

Thriller: Human Nature and The Lady in My Life.
Bad: Liberian Girl and I Just Can’t Stop Loving You.
Dangerous: Heal the World and Gone Too Soon.
i always considered Will You Be There a ballad too.

which is why i usually skip it lmao (jk)

Will You Be There's edit without the intro is great.
Yep, usually the only times i ever listen to Will You Be There i listen to the Radio Edit.
The only times where i listen to the album version is when i'm listening to the entire album.

Although it was considered for Xscape that doesn't necessarily mean Turnin' Me Off is vocally complete, HFITST was remixed and almost made it to the Xscape album but MJ only sings one verse and the chorus.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to rework a track that has at least one verse into something releasable, Hollywood Tonight for example.

Absolutely not. Those Teddy Riley tracks are MJs homage to James Brown and Soul and they are just excellent as a result. Not to mention how much they led to, Sonic The Hedgehog 3 for crying out loud.
SDMW and CLHGA are horrible to say the least, always a skip for me. WYWTOM is a decent listen.

There’s no evidence “Turning Me Off” was considered for XSCAPE. As far as I recall, the only “source” was that a DAT/cassette tape with the song on it was spotted in a promo video. That doesn’t really say anything.
It definitely means it was looked at and considered, now it being remixed is a whole different story.

I do like the raw funk of the Loren tracks. They feel unpolished and contain more spontaneity, which is a nice change of pace for Mike. Probably the closest he ever came to trying to get Prince's sound
Don’t Believe It supposedly has this style- Shana said MJ and Loren have a casual conversation at the end of the demo. Seems like it would be fun to listen to.

Does it? Or could it mean that a demo of “Turning Me Off” was on the same tape/DAT as demos/multitracks of “Loving You” or “Do You Know Where Your Children Are”? There are many possibilities.

It's been a long time since I saw the frame of the tape but wasn't it just one tape with the name "Turnin' Me Off" written on it? It seems like it was pulled individually from the vault.

I think it was the same case with GYWOOM though, they heard the song once, decided it was best not to include it on the album and left it laying around.

This feels like way too many good songs to leave on a disc 2. These few alone

Tomboy
Chicago 1945
Dream Away
Throwing Your Life Away
Buffalo Bill

Would easily have made the top 10 if they had been released in MJs career. They're worth sharing with more than the hardcore fans.

The rest would be good demoes though.
I don’t see Dream Away being that popular imo

I think the Loren tracks have potential. “Serious Effect” and “Superfly Sister” anre awesome, and “She Got It” is flat out excellent. “Work That Body” is a little rote and I don’t care for the little we’ve heard of “Don’t Believe It.” I think MJ was better served with Teddy at the end of the day.

Funny enough I think 'Work That Body' has the most hit potential of them all! Obviously a lot is missing but just imagine some sort 'Remember The Time'-bassline underneath it and a hard hitting beat; that track has potential guys!

Its so weird to think with this AI stuff they could just give us fake stuff and we would never know

There are several ways to find out the truth about a track. First the source. If for example the song is a "seminar leak" we would know because of the attendees. If the title is unknown without further information (auctions, interviews etc) the song is probably fake. If the title is known on the other hand all we have to do is to ask Damien or someone else who has/had access to the songs (that actually happened with Jungle snippets which were confirmed to be real from both Damien and the auction tape's existence). That's why I'm not really worried.
