Randy Jackson pays for little girl's life-saving treatment

Randy Donates $60K to Save a Girl's Life

Randy Jackson, Michael's youngest brother, is donating $60,000 in the hopes of saving 11-year-old Treasure Dearsaw's life. While visiting Treasure at the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles, Randy tells X17online exclusively, "I just want to see her smile."

Treasure suffers from a rare condition called vascular malformation, in which a lesion on her tongue has become a life-threatening disease. The mass on her tongue swells and bleeds, preventing her from being able to close her mouth, eat and talk. Doctors are monitoring her condition closely because if her tongue swells too much, it could close her airway causing her to choke to death. Doctors have told Treasure’s mom, that the removal of her daughter’s tongue would solve the problem, but she is doing everything she can to prevent having to go this route.


As for how he learned of Treasure's condition, Randy tells us:

“I was driving back from Santa Barbara, and because I was tired, I checked into a hotel. TV is something I never watch, but for some reason, I decided to watch the news. I saw a story about Treasure Dearsaw and her fight with a rare disease on her tongue. In order to have an important surgery, she needed to raise $60,000, but a fundraiser set up for her only brought in a few thousand. Her story tugged at my heart, and I knew what I wanted to do.”

Treasure's mom, Chelsa, says that her young daughter has already undergone nine procedures. "Mom, I'm afraid I'm going to die," is a phrase that Chelsa tells us she can't bear to hear anymore.

Randy adds, "No child should be afraid that they’re going to die. It breaks my heart to see her suffering like that. Treasure’s a beautiful child, and it was God’s plan for me to see her story and help out. This is the least I can do. She deserves to be happy.”

Treasure is expected to undergo her 10th surgery later this summer.

Credit where credit is due, this is a great thing for Randy to do for this little girl, I'm sure she, her parents and family are very grateful. I hope this helps her.

Also, this must be Randy's money. It is not Prince, Paris or Blanket's money - it is impossible for Randy to go and get $60,000 from the Estate. No way. The Estate is not an ATM.

i think everyone acknowledges its randys money the issue is with him not being able to raise his own kids and relaying on mj yet doing this.

That was very generious of Randy to help this child. I pray for her and her family that this 11th surgery will get her out of the danger zone.:angel:
 
So Randy is no longer using tmz...he goes to X17 instead. Interesting.

The money came from the years he was running or shall I say ruining Michaels business? Obviously Steven Randall just happens to be the most luckiest broke guy without a job to have recovered from bancruptcy and fraud filed not just ones but several times that soon. Does any of the bold ring a bell? The guy is a genius in withholding wages, insurance payments and taxes, of course he is a Titter genius as well, should be given credits where he is due.

I wish the little innocent girl a speedy recovery and a long happy life. :)

WHO'S THE BOSS? A Los Angeles record company says it has kicked its president, Randy Jackson--brother of Michael and Janet--off its board of directors. And the company is suing Jackson for mismanagement.

In a lawsuit filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, Modern Records Inc. accuses the Jackson sib of failing to pay quarterly employee withholding taxes and health insurance premiums. The suit also alleges that Jackson misspent promotions money--most notably on apartments for him and a girlfriend, and to pay off charges the couple ran up on their credit cards. And, the suit states, he failed to disclose that he previously had filed for bankruptcy.

According to the suit, matters came to a head on Sept. 22, when the company elected a new board of directors--sans Jackson. A shareholders meeting also was held, and Jackson was removed as president.


According to the suit, Jackson refuses to recognize the ouster, saying the election was invalid. He also issued a news release saying he's still the boss at Modern Records. He continues to occupy the company's Beverly Hills office, the suit says.

Modern is asking Superior Court Judge Alexander H. Williams III to declare the ouster legal, issue a court order enjoining Jackson from meddling with company business, spending company money or bad-mouthing other board members and executives. It also seeks to boot him from the Beverly Hills office. Modern also is demanding more than $500,000 in damages. Randy Jackson has kept his promise to 11-year-old Treasure Dearsaw by donating over $60,000 towards her life-saving surgery to help correct her condition called vascular malformation. Randy tells X17online that the young girl's surgery yesterday at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles was a "huge success."

Vascular malformation is a condition in which a lesion on the tongue becomes a life-threatening disease. The mass on the tongue bleeds, preventing the sufferer from closing their mouth, eating and talking...and possibly swelling so much that it causes the person to choke to death.

The surgery was performed by Dr. Andre Panossian. Randy, who gave Treasure a pep talk before surgery, tells X17online exclusively:

I wonder how Randy has so much money. Here's a guy who has never had a job in his life and yet...here he is spending 60.000 USD.

Well, actually we know how he got so much money. The same way we know he is just doing this for publicity. Here's a person who abandoned his own children "saving a little girl's life"! Charity begins at home.

Smells like absolute PR to me.

P.S.- What matters most is that, at the end of the day, the child got what she deserved. Had Michael been alive and he would do EVERYTHING to help her. May God bless Chelsea!

Had Michael been alive and knew of this little girl he would have done everything he can to help this young girl but you never would have heard about it
 
I personally don't care if the cameras captured this and media was present. I don't care if it's for PR. I don't even care where the money came from. None of that matters. Because of this surgery a precious little girl is alive and well, that is ALL that matters! I wish her all the best. :)
 
And just to add; I'm not putting Randy on any pedestal. I'm just happy for that little girl.
 
This girl's life was saved and that is the main thing here. But yes, Michael's message of 'charity isn't waving a flag and say look at me' isn't really being heeded here is it?
 
....its all so tacky that I have to laugh.

In addition I'm glad the girl is okay... but the teddy thing... LOL!

A girls life has been saved, the first few comments acknowledged that and wished her well. Since then its been nothing but Randy bashing.
