'Official Michael Jackson Opus' (All Threads Merged)

My opus book came Monday of last week and it had only one glove in it. I received an e-mail, which some of you had too, about the fact only one glove was in the packaging, and some reality card we can download. I felt okay, this is a prestige company, why mess up this now? The book was shipped from China.
The fans have been going through alot with the loss of Michael, without companies trying to dupe fans out what they promised them. They knew this would be something special and should have prepared for it. It was expensive at a time when the economy is so bad and people are losing jobs and homes etc. Sorry...I just think that they should have respected us more ...especially at this time. Download things. That's cheap.

I don't think so, i certainly haven't. I'm still holding out for Christmas delivery though :clapping: Wishful thinking maybe...

To be honest I'm more disappointed at the mistakes being found rather then the late delivery. :( I thought Opus said they took great attention to detail and were the best of the best. These mistakes seem to be really silly and anybody with an ounce of MJ knowledge should have picked up on. Heal the World in 1989?!!?? Seriously...

I really hope mine will arrive till Christmas, but if they start shipping by Monday, will 3 days be enough to deliver it ?

They should have had a few fans go thought it. There isn't even that much text in the Opus to be honest. Someone certainly could read all the text in a single day.
 
We should send them all the errors or mistakes we have found so they can at least have the right information somewhere on their website. One of us should write down the things that are not correct so we can email them later. Well it’s not the end of the world but they could at least have the right info somewhere. This book is an expensive collector’s Item I just can´t believe they rushed it so much. Some of these mistakes are so unnecessary anybody with an ounce of Michael Jackson knowledge should know better or just check twice before printing it. I really think we should tell them about the mistakes if we find more things.
 
Wow, as if there are mistakes like that...And, it IS a big deal...This is the Official Michael Jackson Opus..there should NOT be mistakes about when a certain song/album is released, I mean, those are BIG deals, I don't care what anyone says...It sorta cheapens the book...Either way, I'll still love it when I finally get it...and treasure it...But, still, very disappointing...
 
no mine came with one glove. i used my old mj glove as the 2nd one :lol:

really i suggest if you can go out and buy a cheap pair of gloves, the pages make prints FAR to easily :lol:
 
I've come across more errors. There is a picture of MJ and Brooke Sheilds that the cpation says it's from 1979. You can tell from how MJ looks it's from the mid 80s. There is another picture with MJ and Liza Minelli that says it's from 1993. But it's really from the late 70s-early80s.

How can you mess up 1993 with early 70's early 80's....??? that's just ridiculous...

This is really unacceptable. :(
 
Someone from Opus should have got some MJ fans in to check for errrors before they published them and sent them all out. If anyone is going to spot any errors in the book its MJ fans.
 
When I heard they finished this in 44 days, I was worried! I really wished they had
taken the time to check things!

I agree I am very excited about receiving mine and I will cherish it but really these are schoolboy errors and should not have been made..especially in something so pricey that is an OFFICIAL Michael JacksoN item!

I've resigned myself to the fact I'm not getting it before christmas which is so annoying as we were all promised it was going to be delivered before christmas when we ordered it! But, what can you do.

I just received my MJ Opus--all I can say about it is"OMG".It is so heavy--can't hold it on your lap to read it.Amazing reading and Great new Photos of MJ that I had never seen.MJ will be with me forever--I had a silouette of MJ tattooed on my leg,with his signature under it.It looks awesome---I kiss MJ every day and night.Sadly miss him.A big fan before and after his death,he is now watching us from above,finally at rest and peace.God bless his children.

With all the factual mistakes and some spelling errors coupled with only recieving one glove and no Opus reality card, I'm seriously considering returning the Opus. I don't know if Kraken Opus has a policy for returns, but these mistakes are unacceptable for such an expensive book that is supposed to be a masterwork on MJ.
