I don't think it was just because she was 'unknown'. And one single had been out already months before 'The Fame' and 'Poker Face'. It was all about that Poker Face being such a huge hit. When it became a hit that huge, it just flows even with minor promo. And also Michael's songs can be promoted with videos and many new banging things. I think Estate have so much stuff. If one of those songs become an enormous hit, it just turn people nuts, that's how it goes.

Are this official positions, complete? I expected more from Spain.. We can do it better then this. Keep buying and encouraging others to buy MICHAEL.

How many albums have been sold in the NL so far, do you know? Must be quite a lot cause we have a market of 16+ million people.

Yes, itunes is about 80% of the digitals sales on internet.

By the way I heard hold my hand for the first time on the biggest radio here in my city !!! That was great !

I think we are being wayyyyyyyyy too pessimestic. My non-fan friends are saying they love Hold My Hand and some of my MJ-fan-friends are saying they know people who are buying it.

Lets be realistic had Sony released "Blue Gangster" or "Slave to the Rythym" and taken off the Cascio tracks it would have been same results. Those songs are cool, but not a track where NON fans are like oooh thats my jam. It aint that hot.

Also Michael has passed and cant do videos to promote it and bring it to life. Right now its only about the music and radio. Kinda hard that way.

MJ's own fans happy he is failing. What you forget is after 1 more album you wont have a chance to enjoy or hate...Only 17 more tracks left in Michael Jacksons music life...

After that there will never be MJ on Billboard as a new release ever again

I honestly cannot believe some of the things I have read here lately. It makes me so sad to see this all. What happened to us all the past year?
 
Just ignore these kind of comments (eventhough it disappoints some of us). The new album is actually doing alright. We hoped for a first week number one in the US. It will probably not happen but its way to early to evaluate sales and the success of the album. By the way its also doing very well in Asia and Europe. Just stay positive:)

The general public are actually recieving this well but the fans are being horrible. What the...??

I understand how you feel but I have decided to stay positive no matter what. I have follwed Michael for so many years and I will not let anyone ruin my feelings towards Michael or all the great fans I have meet over the years. Lets just keep loving Michael (and ignore all the negativity)!
 
by the way, what about Japan. how are the sales there? the fanbase there is huge and they had great promotion.
