Official: AllGood Entertainment Sues Michael Jackson

I've read through the legal papers/complaint several times now. What keeps popping out is the major role Dileo plays/played in this. Even that Dileo called Michael on the phone in Allgood's or AGE reps presence and Michael agreed over the phone to a proposal.

Now either Dileo was or was not Michael's manager (or one of them). Was the phone call to Michael legit? If Michael was actually on the phone with Dileo in AGE's presence and he agreed to something, did Michael understand all the nuances of what a one time family deal entailed, ie, not being able to do any other show within a certain time frame.

Reading that legal complaint makes things even more confusing for me, but ultimately my biggest question is whether Dileo had the authority to commit Michael to anything even without the other family members' okay.

I doubt it will come to much, these kinda things tend to just be forgotten about in a couple of weeks

And one more thing: If Michael wasn't aware of all of these shows they scheduled him, he knows this by now. Make a press release and say you can't do them. Be honest. Explain what happened and that you are sorry. Do we really have any confidence anymore that he is doing all of these concerts?

i think your in the wrong thread cause this is about the AGE lawsuit.

Of course he is aware of the situation. Didn't he recently have a meeting with AGE, along with his dad?
i mean aware at the time when supposed deals were being done.

Ok we all need to just 'chill'. Nothing in regards to shows being cancelled has happened so until then (which I HIGHLY HIGHLY doubt will occur) we all just need to relax and not turn into 'negative nancies'.

And honestly I am tired of people doubting Michael's ability to put on a show and follow through with it. I've read this crap on Pop Eater, AOL, and other places. AEG and Michael (regardless of what people think) are not stupid. Michael would not be around today if he were. AEG said they were aware of the situation and they didn't seem fazed by it.

SO we just need to calm down and go on getting prepped and excited about the concerts, and not worry until there is actually something to worry about. It's simple as that.

Peace.

I'll be there, 30th July 2009! I'm pumped!

Well we heard from the brothers already.

Now I would LOVE to hear what Janet Jackson thinks about Frank DiLeo signing an agreement on her behalf. I'm thinking, that Mr. DiLeo "might" be facing another lawsuit.
I haven't seen anything in this thread from them - what have they said?

:yes::yes::clapping::punk:

I was talking to my dad about this...but in NO way are they gonna try to stop the O2 shows. Cause they won't get any money then. MJ can easily pay the 20 million if that's needed. The O2 shows will earn him so much money.

Michael's favourite phrase when he's disagreeing with someone must be: "So? Sue me!" It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase... lol

Yes, I agree with you. I believe that Michael will make a deal with them honestly think that this family reunion will not happen. Michael is very focused on concerts. And since the guys want money off of Michael, he will pay for sure, nothing of what a good amount of money to resolve, this is resolved this type of thing.

I haven't seen anything in this thread from them - what have they said?

The brothers (Randy, Marlon, Jackie, Tito, and Jermaine) released a press statement a few weeks ago, wherein they stated that they were never approached about a Jackson Family Tour and that they did not know anything about a Jackson Family Tour. They went on to say that they stand by their brother and look forward to his O2 dates.

Another question that keeps crossing my mind is whether there was any communication between Tohme and Dileo at all about any of this. Did one know what the other one was doing/commiting Michael to during that time frame of a few months, and the restrictions involved legally?

My "wondering" about any of this is not saying I don't have faith in Michael, but that things will somehow work out eventually. Talking about this is because this is a discussion, plain and simple.

Oh and here's one more tidbit to throw in the mix.

According to those "papers" TSCM told us about some weeks back, Mr. DiLeo also signed on behalf of REBBIE & LATOYA.

Yes, even Rebbie and Latoya. LOL!

For all I know they were probably thinking about filing the lawsuit at the same time they said that the "reunion show" wouldn't be until July 3, 2010 and Alloco also saying just last week that "I have spoken with Michael Jackson and I believe that he is an honorable man. A man of his word. I look forward to working with him and his entire family on the historic show we have been planning for more than a year.” and “Unlike so many characters in Michael’s past, we’re trying to put money, big money, in his pockets, not take money out of them. All we want is for our show to go on, per the contract we executed with his manager late last year, and there will be no need for lawyers.”

My thinking is whomever the hell was Michael's manager at the time could of signed anything behind his back, without his permission, hoping he could talk Michael round...

Thanks. I thought you meant they'd issued a new statement following this press release.

Yes. So why is Michael the only Jackson family member being brought up in this if AGE were on the legal level with this case? Frank signed for the whole family. So wouldn't it be Frank Dileo and the Jackson Family as defendants here? Me thinks something stinks.

It's unfortunate that MJ is being sued YET AGAIN, but it shouldn't be anything new to any of us. The O2 shows aren't in danger. AllGood can petition for all the injunctions they want but it doesn't mean that they'll win their motion nor does it mean that if they get an injunction that it could be enforced in a foreign country or that one could come in time to stop the shows. MJ and AEG have put a lot of money and effort into this, they knew this crap was coming up yet they continued on. If MJ and AEG were worried, I don't think they would be at this point continuing to pump money into the shows. If they thought for one minute that the shows were in danger, they would make up some excuse and cancel/postpone so as to not lose even more money on concerts that are doomed. Everyone should just sit back and relax and let MJ, AEG and lawyers deal with this and get ready for shows starting next month!

You are probably right? But can you imagine the papers tomorrow saying the whole tour is in danger again? Don't even get me started on that Lorraine kelly woman!!!
