Yeah, I had a bad feeling about that, too. Maybe the radio station(s) were just so excited to hear Mike again like we were, but it's still not right.

dude sounds like a big baby to me ... but being a big baby myself, I can identify with his mood. I don't appreciate it but I can identify with that diva, bitchyness that he exuded :lol: Poor Akon .... Jusssssssss Hold My Hand :giggle:

this is some sick news, not much mj on this BUT this could be a start to a new era. and yea mj sounds phenomenal

Maybe we were all just too excited! but it was to be expected...IMO the best thing Akon can do at this point is hurry the f'k up and release asap, he'd be crazy to cut it...

Akon's 'Acquitted' CD was originally announced to be released in May of this year. It was at that time that Akon stated that he was working on a second CD to be released in the same year.

This is what Akon said to MTV earlier this year:
Akon says it won’t be long before his new album hits the shelves.
“We’re trying to get it out by the first week of May,” he recently told MTV News in Los Angeles. “The album is practically done now. It’s called Acquitted.”

The singer is hoping the first single will feature Michael Jackson, who he just spent time working with. (While some reports say Jackson has finished recording his part for the track, it was unclear whether all the legal hurdles had been cleared as of press time.)

“It’s a worldwide record,” Akon said. “The record is so huge. It’s too big. [Michael's] the only person I could have collaborated with. The other [songs] on the album are huge though.”

Akon has so much music in his catalog that he already has a follow-up to Acquitted mapped out.

“My fourth album is called Double Jeopardy,” he revealed. “I’m already on it. It’s all set up. If they want all the records now, it would take me 30 days to put it together.”

For whatever reasons, Akon's CD was not released in May. Since MTV News originally interviewed Akon, it is a puzzle why now they would report that the record company doesn't know the title of his next release or whether HMH will make the cut.

Akon leaked the single with only his vocals a few months ago. It's clear that the song has legs. What peaks my interest is whether Akon's CD was delayed because they want the HRH version with MJ on it and whether the legal hurdles have been cleared. I assumed it to be the case in that they leaked the MJ version yesterday.

But if you think about his reaction its understandable you give someone a present they feel it abit and try to guess what it is (the versions with just akons voice would be this) and then someone comes in the room and tell the person what it is before they get to open it (the leak) Yeah they open it and are happy but not as excited as they would have been b/c they knew ahead of time what they were getting.

It sounds like he was mad that it leaked.

Which means that someone else is madderr....

(of course, I don't think he's really all that mad) peeps leak shyt on purpose all of the time, then act all outraged that it was leaked...

But the neat info here is that some radio stations PLAYED IT! HA!~

Now how's that working for ya! Oh yeah.

If u think about it...I kinda understand, most of the comments have been along the lines of 'too much akon','I'd be better if it was only Mike' wouldn't make me happy...

Wouldn't stop the release of his CD if it were ready to go. Also, someone posted yesterday that they were doing to see Akon in Europe and was set to buy tickets, but his management announced that the rest of his Euro tour had been cancelled.... I think a mod said this....

So I don't think he's on tour. Clearly if he was in the States last night, he ani't. Sumthangs up.....:dancin:

yes but it is dude's Album sales that will increase becuase of that fact, so he should be realistic with any jealous nature... it will only benefit his butt. he has a rather nice butt too ... i just started to notice him :lol: never really looked at him before yesterday :D
