I never meant to discuss where it comes from. I meant it that it's been so modified that it doesn't sound like MJ anymore.

Yeah, that's melodyne for you. You know, one of the effects used to manipulate MJ's voice in the Cascio songs, right?

Anyway, I think this snippet leaked last year was ignored by a lot of people. I wonder where it might come from - who leaked it?

If I recall correctly someone was planning on selling it then decided not to, that's where the snippet came from. I guess it was privately sold or something.

I find it a bit confusing that I asked "At what point in the song do you hear MJ?", and one seems to think I meant something, another seems to think I said the opposite... when all I ask was really just a question "At what point in the song do you hear MJ?"

Now, I realised I got even more confused because when I searched YouTube I first got this one where the sound have been replaced I think (no Michael?)

But there is another one (yes Michael, well I guess, if something else is going on I'm not sure, I didn't know about that song before today)

The reason MJ sounds strange is because they processed his voice and also (I assume as it sounds filtered) had to filter the piano out.

Thanks. So yeah, I first heard the cover (I don't know anything about Drake). But the video title was suggestion it was the right one.. That's why I was not finding Michael in it.

I was actually speaking with the user who was pursuing this some time ago. To my understanding, when COVID worsened things sorta fell through. Sad; I’d love to hear this one.

It deserves to be officially released, yes I listen to leaks like everyone else but it doesn't do his material justice. I remember reading some time ago how annoyed Michael was when Xscape leaked, Hold My Hand also. Official means may be the longest route, but it should also be the most favoured.

i heard a rumour about a single being released on feb.19. its probably not true, but would be interesting to see. feb.19 is a Friday, new music typically drops on Fridays.

I was just saying this to another fan. America’s “A Horse With No Name” is already a huge hit. Imagine if the estate/Sony promoted it in as it was in its original state that song could of been huge. Imagine that song along with let’s say “Blue Gangsta” and “She Was Lovin Me”. I’ve heard that’s why “Joy” and “Seeing Voices” weren’t on Xscape!

I did. I made my way onto a popular (now defunct) website that was notorious for selling/group buying music from all artists so I put a call out to see if anyone had any new MJ - please let's talk business.

Anyway, I found someone, they sent me the snippet & song information and I posted online to get fans excited because the wheels were in motion for us to group together and buy the song. We were talking payment & price. They were really nice, I showed them the concert groupbuys we did and thought it was awesome.

However, no one on the forum/trading circles wanted to be the organiser or host the group buy due to fears from Sony & MJs team intervening so it never came to fruition. I guess a song is different to a VHS concert!!

The seller was verified, legit & one of the top sellers on the site. I was just so desperate to bring some joy into the MJ world after 2019 and I'm sad I couldn't quite finish the job!!

Take a look at the time today... I think it is just a matter of time, that something leaks before it actually release.... We can blame the digital age... Look at Gagas Stupid Love, it leaked almost 6 months before the album was released...
 
If I´ll take in mind, that the newxt album gonna have just another 8 songs (I´m ok with that), my dream tracklist would be:

1) Get Your Weight Off Of Me
2) Monkey Bussines
3) Sunset Driver
4) Cheater
5) Seeing Voices
6) I Was a Loser
7) Throwing Your Life Away
8) We´ve Had Enough

Deluxe version with remixed versions and the demos too... Just like Xscape...

More will be unearthed as the years go by, I'm fairly certain of that.. I agree with re-releasing We've Had Enough on a new record but certainly not the other three you list from TUC...

Well there is an invincible outtake of cheater, and from the list of songs found in MJs bedroom, we know that he wanted to redo the song...

If a new version worked on by MJ exists then OK.

BUT - Monkey Business seems like and old song - it would not fit on an album in 2021 I think.

We've Had Enough would be great to have on the next album. - Perfect song that really needs a proper release.

I would not mind a re-worked version of Price of Fame either - it really has great potential.
 
Why wouldn’t you guys want all new songs? Why songs that have been released. We have waited this long all new!

Agree! If they stick to the 8 song approach I'd like to be at least 50/50!

Well they were unreleased, but we´ve heard like 2/3 of the album yrs before... Like 6 of the 8 songs we´ve heard before and knew them...

I forgot about price of fame, but I can´t see it as an official release, ´cause the song was officialy used as the pepsi promotion, back in the 1987...
