New message from Michael (Sept. 6th, 2008)

It's real. Don't bother moving it.
I know Talitha. She is an Irish fan in Vegas. He gave her the message. It's not unusual.
Seriously you look stupid deleting things and claiming they aren't from Michael when you have no idea what you're talking about, just because it didn't come from some publicist or other cronie in his camp this board gets their "exclusives" from or whatever.
He gives notes to fans frequently.
And it's much cooler than some BS written by a publicist.
I know you're trying to preserve the integrity of the board but this is real.

Some of Michael's fans are way too involved and feel they need to be a part of his life beyond default.

MJ's main media of communication to his fans should be, in my opinion - his music, his videos, his concerts, and his very GENERAL message to fans.

This message is great because it's nice to know he appreciates his fans and that we still inspire him to do great things. We all know he is working his ass off for us.

it isn't that I doubt the authenticity of the message, but sometimes one would like to know more about the circumstances ... not more.

thanx for posting. Interesting! But where is the second message? Help please....? :)

Re: New message from michael

I don't doubt the authenticity of the message at all. However the actual message is dull as anything. I have read/heard the same few lines a MILLION times before. It's boring. Give us an update on your actual plans for the future rather than teasing with stuff like 'the best is yet to come' and 'i'm making musi every day'.

Exactly! That is a very generic message.. I'l probably be seen as not being a real fan for saying this but comments like "the best is yet to come" are not funny anymore.. Realy..

Michael has said the best is yet to come but he never said when it was gonna happen. He never said ''The best is yet to come in a years time'' he just said The best is yet to come so that could be a year from now, two years from now or 5 years from now

Bogani, now you know I'm not gonna say your not a real fan, lol. But come on. All this messege is is a way for Michael to remind us that he knows we're here and that he's aware we're anticipating his return. He isn't going to reveal any of his planes because he wants to keep it as a surprise. It's not meant to be funny, it's meant to simply let us know he cares about us. And he does. I don't see how anyone could dispute that fact or try to make it as though Michael is playing with us. That's not the kind of person he is. He doesn't have to communicate with us at all if he doesn't want to. He actually talks to his fans, unlike most celebrities. He genuinely cares about us, but he's had it rough boy, and he's doing his best. Patience is a virtue and with Michael it is always well worth the wait.

I wish some of you out there would stop scrutinizing his every move and word... we all need to focus on the positive because I don't even wanna think about how our lives would be if we did the opposite.

Don't you think it's hard enough to formulate whatever you have in you mind to millions of "strangers"? You gotta give him some cred...

I'm just happy that he seems upbeat :)

Hey Nicole, I don't not even for a second doubt that Michael is a good person but sometimes I cant help but think he is indeed playing with us as some kind of PR stunt or something to that effect. Remember that message he sent via satelite when he got that french award a few months ago: "See you VERY soon"? Instead of saying whether he is going to release anything new he always says "I'm always writing" Nobody is forcing this legend to release anything, we have over 30 years of pure magic, but when he keeps saying sugestive things knowing that the public including us fans hold on to every word he says it makes me wonder whether we are just part of a game where a talented entertainer is contemplating a well deserved retirement but does not want to burn his bridges.

That's just pure speculation Bogani and the more likely explination for why Michael keeps saying "very soon" is because he knows people want to see him again and he wants to let them know that it's coming and doesn't want to keep them completely in the dark. I've observed this about Michael. I think the one thing he fears the most is letting people down, especially people who he feels have in some way contributed to his success artistically. Remember during his 45th birthday party when he said "I'll make you proud to be Michael Jackson fans." Well, what that says to me is that he was at that time worried that his fans would have reason NOT to be, and that was really a sobering and painful thing to hear come from him. He keeps saying "soon" because he doesn't want us to go away and abandon him, I think, so he's giving us something to expect. Michael can't go any faster then he is unless you want him to compromise his vision and he doesn't want to do that because he thinks the world deserves the best of what he's doing. There's no indication from his side that he's planning to or wants to retire, none at all. i know I keep bringing this up, and it's probably getting tired for some of you, but what Michael went through can't even be imagined, what happened to his life was nothing short of tragic and devastating. I know it's been over three years, but when you think of what actually happened to him, three years doesn't seem like such a long time. He's trying, that's the point and we just have to wait. He isn't playing with us, he just want's us to be happy and to know that he's working to give us something special. The fact he's taking so long should be taken as a compliment, because it shows he cares enough about us to do his best. He's going to deliver, but when he says soon, it's not because he's trying to be cruel, Michael doesn't have any malice in him, it's because he doesn't want us to give up and he's trying to let us know that we don't have to, even if it does take a long time.

You're so damn convincing you know that? I didnt know Michael said that on his 45th birthday, wow! .However I do feel that your assertion that michael doesnt want to compromise his vision hence the delay, is also pure speculation on your part, it could equaly be procrastination.

It's impossible a fan to find with MJ on the streets of Las Vegas and ask for him to say something for their fans? Sure! Why not?
MJ never promised a date for to launch the new album.Never must charge something of him. We've to respect the time of MJ.

Okay, but let me say, we've heard from Michael himself and many other sources who have been in the studio with Michael that he IS working and that he want's it to be perfect. Also, you have to look at Michael's past record, he's always taken a long time because he always wants it to be perfect. Obviously, it's not secrete that he's a perfectionist. I think it's just him wanting it to be right and maybe to a certain extent, he's letting fear slow his pace, because like I said before, I think he is very much afraid of letting people down or being rejected and so he might be letting that fear dictate the pace because he want's to make sure it CAN'T be dissapointing.

You all should know by now that "soon" is translated to a couple years. And I'm not joking. He obviously uses the term "soon" very loosely, judging from statements he's made in the past.

I think Michael should get a spokesperson. For real. And a professional that is. If I browse through the responses in this thread, it's clear to me that it's not a good idea to spread messages through fans. I'm sure the girl in question means well, and Michael too, but all it generates is debate on the wording of the message and why Michael gave it to a fan.

By the way: purity and innocence in the fan community? That's a tad bit naive ;)

na...there is no good idea, cus there is no satisfying.

so...we gotta take what we can get, because there is no doubt...we have heard from Michael, and he has proven that he is alive and alright. there are just too many fans to please everybody with any ideas.

Well maybe Michael thinks his fans actually appreciate him. By some of the respnses here though, he may have to reevaluate that notion.

perhaps u r right...but i hope he doesn't think so. indeed...no artist of this stature has ever been this accessible to fans...but like u say.. some don't see that. but, so i won't be accused of not seeing the positive...there still are plenty of fans, here, that do see that.

Look, i don't even care if Michael never releases an album, but I can see why some fans are growing impatient. It's been a while. He needs to communicate with his fans. His official website is no where to look to and he has no spokesperson. The least he could do is at least make a short statement regarding future plans. Not everything has to be a surprise. Sorry to burst his bubble, but everyone knows he's making an album. He could comment on that and make those impatient fans happy. It's not a difficult task to do.

To question one's fandom based on their (understood) impatience is ludicrous.

Of course, in fact, judging from this board, MOST people appreciate him. But, there's those several who clearly do not.

No one is saying you're not a fan if you're impatient. Heck, I'm impatient. I want to see the new album. But I'm not gonna be a jerk about it either because I UNDERSTAND why it's taking so long. And the language some use in regards to Michael shows ingratitude. Michael needs to do this, he needs to do that, etc... No, he doesn't. He doesn't need to do anything, including making an album. He WANTS to just for ya'll. You should be grateful, I say.

Re: New message from michael

That's an awful generalization, and clearly if you read the majority of the responses in this thread, an incorrect one.

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

I remember the fiasco with Karen Faye and yes highly unprofessional.
As for an official site, I guess there will always be people questioning whether it's a ghostwriter posting the messages, etc so it doesn't matter where Michael's messages come from there's always going to be people who will not believe it's from the man himself. As another member already said on here "it's their loss"

I actually wasn't being sarcastic at all, but OK...

Maybe I should have included a smiley face afterwards???

I don't know where the hell that comment came from... :?

And yes, it's true, people on these boards jump on someone as soon as they say they have something from Michael. I didn't say it's right or wrong, but THEY DO. Period.

Trying to see it from MJ's perspective, since he's not on these boards all embroiled in the "drama" that occurs with the least thing someone says or does, it makes sense to me that he'd say, "hey, tell the fans this for me" - especially if he's trying to be less "standoffish" and "unreachable" in the way fans see him, especially internnet fans who can't be following him here and there or be fortunate enough to run into him. I feel his "stature" came purely from his excellence alone, not from a desire to be "far removed".

Well, I'll just say.....'thank you for that message Michael'

Lets be real, Michael Jackson does'nt have to communicate with us as a fan base outside of his music, his art, if he does'nt want to. The fact that he has sent these message should be appreciated. Take it or leave it.

Well said, and I agree. Why can't fans just accept the message and appreciate it. If you don't like it or can't appreciate it, then ignore it, go have a walk, go read a book or as Beowulf used to say on MJNO "get girlfriend". :lmao: Michael wouldn't have to send fans ANYTHING, he doesn't owe us anything...so I think it was sweet of him to say hi to fans.
