Has anyone thought that maybe he wrote that in 1986-1994?? Just because he was taking painkillers in 1992-1993 doesn't mean he was now.

I thought he developed a dependency for pain killer demerol after the burns in the 80s, but received treatment and reduced dependency and got off it many years ago . He may have restarted it again, but for what, we don't know that for certain.
