MJ's Bodyguard Answering Fans Questions

Article about bodyguards appearance on the GMA:

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two of Michael Jackson's former bodyguards are speaking out in defense of Dr. Conrad Murray, saying he is not a criminal.

It was something heard from Murray's defense team: Other doctors provided Jackson with powerful prescription drugs, and Murray was being blamed for Jackson's dependency to those other drugs.

Now Javon Beard and Bill Whitfield are saying the same thing.

"We know if he was alive, he would not want Dr. Conrad Murray to be on trial," Beard said. "There's no way in hell that he wanted to kill Michael Jackson. Why would he kill his paycheck?"

Jackson's former bodyguards shared new details about Jackson's relationship with Murray.

"The relationship that him and Mr. Conrad Murray had on our watch, they were more friends," Beard said.

Murray is on trial for involuntary manslaughter. Prosecutors say his negligence caused Jackson's death, but Jackson's former bodyguards say the testimony has unfairly vilified Murray.

"Seeing how only Dr. Murray is being pointed out, I look at the trial and see, you know, that courtroom would not be big enough to hold everyone in it that we feel would be accountable," Whitfield said.

In an interview with an ABC reporter in Las Vegas, Beard and Whitfield both said they're convinced that someone other than Murray was medicating Jackson during the daytime to help him prepare for what was a demanding rehearsal schedule.

"Dr. Murray may have helped Mr. Jackson sleep. We certainly believe that there were certainly other doctors that helped him stay up," Whitfield said.

"It's way bigger than Dr. Conrad Murray," Beard said. "That's no question in our minds."

But Murray is the only man on trial, and as the jury decides on his guilt or innocence, Jackson's former bodyguards say they wish they had been there the morning the singer died.

Any verdict reached has to be unanimous. Murray, 58, has pleaded not guilty and has denied any wrongdoing. If convicted, he could face up to four years in prison and lose his medical license.

Incredible. I hope these guys aren't expecting a friendly reception at any MJ fan events any time before the end of the century....

Unfairly vilified poor '4 gallons of propofol, no monitoring, too busy on the phone etc etc' Murray indeed!

In reference to our recent GMA interview: We are neither in support nor against Dr. Murray. We speak and answer from our own direct personal experience and eyewitness account of the relationship between Mr. Jackson and Dr. Murray. We were there and we speak truth. For those of you that disagree, you have that right. However; keep in mind that as Dr Murray Stands trial we believe there are others that should be held accountable as well. As fans of MJ you know that this situation is much bigger than it appears. .

The Media has reported that we support Dr. Murray however the opening statement of the interview is that we insist we are not speaking to defend Dr Murray. You may all interpret that as you wish.

They may speak the truth, from their POV, just like Frank. When they were with Michael Murray just started to work for Michael (he treated his children in Vegas) and I can totally believe Michael treated Murray like a friend. But at the time he didn't know what he would do on the 25th June, 2009. Just because Michael considered him a friend it doesn't give him a free pass for what he did.

And the main problem is the TIMING. If they really didn't know why the media called them to interview and how they would use their words and for what purpose then they are very stupid.

I don't see the hookup. EVEN IF there are others who killed Mike, how could this deny Murray's fault? And how the hell could they claim Mike wouldnt want him on trial? WTF?!

Alright what does that mean? Has the book turned from positive to negative? I don't like the sound of it at all. To me it sounds as if these money hungry attention seekers are changing their tune, because it's so much easier to sell negative sensational stories rather than positive ones, when it comes to Michael. They had difficulty finding a publisher for their initial book, so now they take a turn in the opposite direction? WOW.

Doesn't it really tell you, what their ulterior motive was all along? Certainly wasn't to defend a king, but milk the king for their own gain.

Unlike these two, Mike Garcia who originally stepped down from writing the book with them was on Nancy Grace a few nights ago and believed Murray was guilty:

With me right now Mike Garcia, former Jackson body guard.

Mike, thank you for being with us. What were your observations of Conrad Murray?

MIKE GARCIA, FORMER BODY GUARD FOR MICHAEL JACKSON: Thank you for having me, Miss Grace. First of all, I just want to say how disappointing it was to see Mr. Jackson deceased in the new picture that was displayed in the media. It was in poor taste, and it was -- it wasn`t good for his children. It was a sad thing --

GRACE: Yes. Well, I`ve got a news flash for you Garcia. No offense. But this is a homicide trial, and to prove a homicide -- I don`t know if you`ve ever prosecuted a murder case or not, but you have to have a dead body, and no prosecutor wants to show just for kicks a victim`s dead naked body, all right? That`s not what this is about. But I understand --

GARCIA: Well, one thing -- one thing, Miss Grace, is they have to show that --

GRACE: As a friend -- as I was saying, as a friend to Michael Jackson, I didn`t like it either. I didn`t like it either, but a homicide trial is not a pretty thing. What I`m trying to ask you --

GARCIA: If they need to show that in trial, that`s fine. If they need to show that on the media, that`s -- that`s a different thing. That was my point.

GRACE: Sir, what were your observations of Conrad Murray?

GARCIA: I think the trial is kind of a no brainer. I mean the fact that there was no proper equipment available for Mr. Jackson, the fact that, you know, he wasn`t doing the necessary care for him.

I mean, $150,000 a month, you would think that there would be better equipment and even added help, you know, with Mr. Jackson at the time, so as I watched this trial and as things unfold, it really seems just kind of a no brainer what the verdict is going to be.

GRACE: OK. I`m going to try one more time, Mr. Garcia. You worked in the Jackson home. You observed Conrad Murray. What were your observations of Dr. Conrad Murray?

GARCIA: He was a nice guy.

GRACE: What do you mean by that?

GARCIA: What do you mean by that?

GARCIA: When he came to the house, you know, the children were sick, Mr. Jackson was sick so he was treating them for colds, and that was here in Las Vegas at that time, so, you know, his impression to us was it seemed that he was -- you know, he was a good guy, and he had Mr. Jackson`s best intentions, but, you know, as the trial unfolds, you know, you can kind of see that there was, you know, a lot of negligence.

GRACE: You know, Mike Garcia, you`ve really hit the nail on the head. What`s going happen in this trial is that Conrad Murray does come across, even though he didn`t take the stand, he has this gravitas, this presence. He`s an imposing figure, he`s 6`4". He sits there like a dignified doctor. People like they`re doctors generally, and he comes across as a nice guy, just like Mike Garcia said, and Garcia knows. He`s been in the Jackson home. He`s seen Conrad Murray.

It's amazing how we were interviewed for 50 minutes and ABC aired less than 2 minutes of what we said. What they did not show was the full context of the session. On our watch Mr. Jackson and Murray were friends. If Murray is found guilty then he needs to pay for his negligence.

The Mr. Jackson we knew would not want Murray criminally tried because this is the same system that tried to Crucify Mr. Jackson. WE DO NOT SUPPORT OR DEFEND Conrad Murray, he needs to be held accountable for any negligence. There are many others that should be held accountable for MJ’s death.
No matter the outcome, Murray will forever carry the cloud of being responsible for the death of Michael Jackson.

^ Does that even make sense? It doesn't to me. Time they shut the feck up.

GOD WHAT YOYO's to put it nicely! <_< How can they compare what MJ went through with his trial to what Murray did to MJ? Do they not know those others they blame were investigated and not charged nor were they at MJs home on JUNE 25th? WILL THESE AND MANY OTHER FOOLS PLEASE STFU ALREADY?

I can just imagine their book now talking all kinds of nice about Murray and his friendship with MJ! :puke:

Yea what a friend Murray was, right? I want one just like him, someone who abandons me after given me strong drugs even though he said he would be watching. Then leaves my side to take a piss and talk on the phone. Then on top of that says I killed myself! :ermm:

I just went leave message to them. They pissed me off big time. The two clarification does not make sense at all. How can they say all those things in behaves of Michael? Using Michael to justify their words is so low. How can they said MJ won't want Murray go through trial? Seriously? Murray took away his life and traumatized his kids in big way and they think MJ would forgive Murray for hurting his kids like this? What Murray did is reckless and unbelievable even if you just look Murray's statement to police. Everything for money. Gosh...........I feel really sick. I can't believe the greedy part of human nature is so dark. This is not just about the bad timing and their personal opinions. I really start to doubt that something or someone is behind them. All these things are really disgusting. They even tried to compare MJ's trial with Murray' trial. Seriously? How these two comparable? MJ is innocent and CM is not. Tom Snedden is snake but it doesn't mean that all the DA is snake. This is such an insult to Mr. Walgren.

How can you judge someone you've never met?

Isn't that what they were willing to do regarding who was a real friend to MJ, and who wasn't?

Did they meet all those people?

Shut up guys! It is what you should do.

You know what. I'm so tired of all these people. Enough already. I have given these bodyguards benefit of doubt. But, they never deliver what they promised.

Just shut up and stop using Michael's name.
