If you made that a bit smaller and it wasn't too expensive, I'd be willing to pay for that. I love it!

Dressing up as Rose Tyler from Doctor Who with some friends. I'm on the far left. :lol: I look a little overexcited, but the teachers were rushing us off to class and I was very happy that day. ;)

aw thanks guy :) idk what happened with her eyes! when she was a baby they were bright blue which idk if that has anything to do with it now. they are poop brown now. LOL maybe it was just the flash?

I made it out clay...then painted it, and decoupaged a printout on it. :)

This is just my first test as I said...hopefully I'll get good enough to get to the point of offering MJ jewelry to other people. Right now it's just fun to experiment...I've got a lot of ideas.

That is very cool!!! I play around with clay as well. I like to make sculptures and christmas ornaments. Last year I made whole nintendo christmas tree lol.

I love the jewelry you made, gorgeous!!! especially the 2nd one. It is a great idea to make your own jewelry!! :yes: its much more special and unique!! Thanks for sharing Amy!!! :)

And great work with your jewelry! They looks great. I work with clay myself. Actually, I use super sculpey to make statues and figures. Have you ever cast your stuff out of resin?
There are starter sets that will enable you to make silicone molds of your clay works, in which you can cast resin copies out of. (you probably already know this).

Nintendo christmas tree? haha that sounds kickass. Do you have pics? I'd love to see it. :D
I didn't realize how fun it is to make your own jewelry...mainly because when you're done you know you have something unique...I really like that. I've been tired of buying stuff that everyone else has.

I actually just looked at information on resin last night as well - I may play around with it sometime.
 
Definitely! I'm happy to hear it, Amy. It's actually pretty easy to do. The silicone molds are the best way to go but you may be able to use latex too. You wont need to spend money on mold release to peel away your cast copies from silicone, unlike latex or urethane though.
And mixing two part resin (carefully brushing on the first coat in the mold), then pour in the rest carefully into to reduce bubbles and craters when your piece sets. Wait a few minutes, depending on the size and thickness of your cast, and its ready to rock! Durable plastic copies of your works. :)

I'll post pictures of my work here soon enough and on flickr.
